5 Horrible Mistakes That KILL Learning Efficiency

Here's what I understood- 1. Time vs tension: tension does not imply to stress here, when we are learning we should focus more on what we can learn with the time at hand rather then wishing to have more time . Example from my experience: I was once absent in school for one day then the next day I came to know ,the teacher said that he will take a test today ,since that class was after lunch break ,I studied the chapter in that 30 mins which would have taken me 2 hours if I had to study it at home . So basically under pressure our work efficiency increases 2. Declaritive vs procedural pathway : declaritive learning is like memorising the theorems and formulas of math and procedual learning is solving a problem using those theorems and formulas . Here the 123 rule is recommended: for every one hour of declaritive learning -get 2 points of feedback (I quite didn't understand this one😅) you should get 3 hours of procedual learning (practical) 3. Diffuse vs focus: diffuse is like reading the whole textbook but remembering only fragments of it whereas focus is like learning a single topic /chapter but you will never forget it in your life. But remember diffuse learning helps to connect the dots. For example you studied only basic calculations in elementary classes, at that time your sole focus was doing addition subtraction multiplication and division but in the higher classes you are using these calculations to solve geometry,trigonometry, algebra etc so the dots are connected. 4.Liner vs lateral thinking : linear thinking is like unnecessary critical thinking, eg: to solve a trigonometry problem there are certain formulas but what you doing is instead of writing the given formula you write how the formula is derived ( you do extra work!completely unnecessary) lateral think is taking a shorcut and getting the same work done more quickly 5. Note taking vs note making: Here I am basically making notes I am writing what I understood . So I may remember this longer than by just watching the video . when you are in class and the teacher is giving a lecture you should solely focus on what the teacher is saying. When you attend the lecture and make notes at the same time , the focus gets disrupted. Thus do one thing at a time. And make notes only when you understand the topic. I might not be correct as this is only what I understood from watching the video. Hope this helps someone😊

My son is a note-maker, at 9.5, he listens to the lesson and the only way I know he's understood it, is when he puts the topic in his own words at the end.

My all friends make notes from textbooks or videos they watch on yt but what's the point in writing things that already just take few seconds to reach out to?me on the other i don't write a thing down until i understand it purely to the core from memorising the concept to solving practice problems i never study from textbooks during exams only my notes and i am an A+ student so it works guys focus on becoming a note maker Also i might be a A+ student still i made 2 mistakes out of 5 for which i feel really dumb 😂 but that's okay that's why they called mistakes so gotta improve them

What if the subject you study you can't note-make (draw pictures of the notes), do we just mind map it in simple terms?
