That first ball would be really easy to make! Buy a big punching balloon (the ones you had when you were a kid that you hold with a rubber string laniard and punch over and over), blow it up to desired size (they can get really big when blown up), then, paper mache the balloon with strips of cloth. You can use old sheets or t-shirts (now I know what to do with all of my old band tees that I don't have the heart to this away). Make SURE the paper mache you use is non-toxic. I think there is a way to make it out of corn starch. Then, cover the punching balloon with the "paper" (cloth) mache. Do a few layers, letting each layer dry a bit. When you have the desired thickness, let it dry COMPLETELY! Pop the balloon. Flatten one side to keep it from rolling away and add some type of weigh to it, maybe fill a pillowcase with uncooked rice that can double as a soft bed. Cut open a hole for the cat or small dig to enter. Paper mache the hole, so that any of the cut edges will have their sharpness covered. (We dont want our kitties to get paper cuts on their cute little pads!)Easy peasy!! You can decorate any way you want, bedazzle it, put lace around the opening, or add unsharp spikey things, if you're a metal head like me! I've never made one, but, if you look close, you can see what looks to be a paper mache type of material. I am going to try it as soon as possible & will share the process with FreakOutTech. I am really excited to try this!!! But, I am so broke, I can't even pay attention!Peace!
