I think you nailed it! And thank you for not trying to limit the price range - it's a true *Luxury* Designer starter kit, and not a stepping stone!...I'm definitely no beginner to building my luxury collection and STILL found this super helpful! xoxo
Delphine C Yes Burberry Trench is a forever coat. Never out of style and can wear a whole year ( in winter I wear it over chunky knits, summer at some cold night out) ;-)
I am so happy that you are uploading more often!! I love how you considered lots of different factors when selecting the items for this video. Would you ever consider doing a filming room / wardrobe tour? 💕👑
I've been binge watching your videos recently and I'm so happy I've subscribed to you! You're such a humble person and even though you own so many luxury items you never brag about them at all! I find your videos so helpful!!
Hi Amie! Great video! Luxury items are quite an investment for me so my budget is a bit limited!. I have to research and mostly buy preloved. But I have been extremely fortunate to have such great classics in my collection. 1. Any bag or SLG from Chanel in black caviar leather. Any item one can afford. The quality is unmatched! I have a zip wallet. 2. LV mini pochette. It is just so versatile and was my very first luxury piece. I have three! 3. LV Josephine wallet...similar to the Emily. I just love the removable pouch and that the wallet can open up completely 4. LV speedy35 bandouliere Classic, roomy. I have three but really using the Damier Ebene right now. stunning. 5. LV Neverfull GM. I love a large bag since i commute 50 miles to work everyday. Just can't beat how spacious this bag is and for the days I need to carry less I just cinch in the sides. Again, I have this one in three prints too. Those are the classics for me anyway! And I think everyone can start a luxury collection with a fragrance: Chanel No 5. If it was good for Marilyn Monroe, it is good for me!!!
I love how 'normal' and down to earth you are, also you have great taste! Maybe you can (if you haven't already) make a video about understated luxury items that are ok for work? (some employers might see a flashy LV bag or Chanel as frivolous) keep up the good stuff!
For women in early twenties, I'd recommend Tiffany necklace, LV neverfull, YSL woc, Gucci half-wallet, and Marc Jacobs flats. I had all of those when I was younger except for YSL and I still enjoy them ten years later. So definitely yes!!
LV alma bb was my very first designer/luxury item. i was trying to decide between that and the gucci disco soho but went for the LV in the end and i don't regret it at all. i think both of these bags are amazing first luxury items especially in your teenage years
Excellent video Amie, so organized, and I totally agree with your list. I myself own the empriente zippy, the neverfull, and gucci soho disco. I've been trying to get my hands on the square mini for months with no luck, but it's like you said, a great place to start with Chanel. I know a lot of people will say the woc is a good starter piece but truthfully this is the one Chanel piece that i think everyone should have.
Hello Amie, thx for tour advice. I was fond of luxury items but hesitate for a very long time. I finally did it and I own now a beautifull Turenne MM from LV with the key holder. I wouldn't have though about the second one without you. I love l'y items and my experience at LV shop.
My next purchase goal is that neverfull because that is honestly one of the most practical and beautiful bags I've ever seen- and you totally inspired that! xoxo
I suggest a great fragrance. It's really a luxury since it doesn't serve any purpose other than just the pleasure of it. I like Diptyque's Philosykos which is pretty popular but still different and special. Or Hermes' Un Jardin series, which also doubles as an entry into the world of H. If you wear trousers or even a skirt to work, I suggest a beautiful belt. It really balances your proportions and gives you a waist--even if you think you don't have one! A plain black one from Ralph Lauren is my go-to and when I feel a little more dressed up, a patent leather Fendi with the B-buckle (if anyone remembers the Fendi B bag that Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton carried in the mid aughts...?) Then there's Vuitton... :)
I have the emilie wallet but the older color...kinda orangy instead of pink and it is still in perfect condition even though i carry it every day. I think it's more sturdy than it looks since i have it now for at least 3 years. Love your channel!
Have two bags from what you mentioned - the disco soho and also purchased the Neverfull in Damier yesterday mainly from your recommendation! Thanks for such a good videos Amie! Now planning my next purchase 😊
Love your videos. The zippy wallet is the perfect mini wallet. I bought mine in Epi in the denim blue colour. I completely agree the Neverfull is an essential I also purchased that in Epi and can tell will last
you have beautiful pieces! great ideas sweet. have a blessed week! I just bought a LV favourite mm. a great starter piece too I think though I've started with other things 😍😍💗
I love, love LK Bennett shoes and you're correct when you say they are comfortable. I also think that Taryn Rose shoes are fab. I agree with you on investment in shoes such as the Blahniks and Louboutins and it being on the ground.
Love this. I have a similar pair of shoes to your LK Bennet ones, mine are Ted Baker but just a plain nude patent, and I got them on sale which was great. They're so versatile, the look great with a smart work look or with jeans and a white t-shirt. For jewelry, I'm not sure it would be considered "luxury" but I'm a fan of Swarovski. As far as costume jewelry goes I've gotten some amazing pieces at really great prices. I tend to save up for when they have their sales. But the quality and sparkle is amazing.
Wonderful choices! What a lovely variety :) would love to see a video on your closet set up! I'm redoing mine at the moment and would find if soooo helpful :) xo
Nice and informational video. I am personally curious about your fragrances that I see on the shelf in the back. Which Tocca fragrance is that? I love the Tocca line. Anyhoo, maybe do a fragrance collection/review in the future? Those are some of my favorite types of videos. I have found several new fragrances based on collections that I have watched on youtube.
The items I want and am currently saving for are: 1. Chanel coin purse 2. Chanel rectangular mini 3. LV never full 4. Valentino rock studs Hopefully can tick a few off my list this year!! Xx
I can't believe how much everything has gone up in price so much in the last year :(. I am going to buy the LV neverfull MM definitely worth it. Do you recommend going into store or just ordering online? Do you find there is a difference in product or service? Love your videos :D
A really nice video, thanks! I would add the Mulberry Bayswater as an option for a classic everyday bag, and a Mulberry pouch or wallet (tree coin purse or a French purse) to complement it :)
Hi Amie I completely agree with your list. I have purchased a couple of these items since I have become a subscriber. You're such an enabler 🙊 Where is your top from its beautiful xxx
My five essential pieces: a flawless skin, a sexy body, education. The other two is a caring boyfriend or a dog who loves you unconditionally. I guess Chase has 4 out of 5 boxes ticked. The accessories are just a bonus. ♥️
I love all your picks, but especially that you included a Tory Burch. I know she's not technically a luxury brand, but I love her style and I think she's often overlooked.
Hi. Great video. I have the Emilie wallet in a darker pink. It's a great slg. I have a monogram delightful bag, which I love and a recent purchase, the Damier Ebene speedy 30. I'm saving for a Damier azur neverfull probably in mm. I love Boden clothes, and they do great shoes. Russell and Bromley also do great shoes. I would love a Chanel bag but they are so expensive. Louis Vuitton are bringing out perfume in September, which I'm very excited about.
Recently found your channel and I love how informative all your videos are! I've noticed that you mentioned that you do like the contemporary designer lines but I've never seen you talk about Kate Spade bags. How do you feel about them? Do you think they're worth the money?
Hi Chase, I love your videos, thank you for making buying luxurious items less overwhelming. I was wondering if I can get your opinion and thoughts on buying and investing in a mulberry bag?
So happy so watch this video, I'm heading to LV Edinburgh in a couple of weeks to pick out an Emilie wallet. Love the fact it seems flat before anything is in it, my current purse is a Paul smith leather purse which is bulky when empty. I want to be brave and not worry about getting the rose b dirty......may buckle at the last minute and get red or fuchsia!!!😂😂😂
if it helps, I've not had any issue with the RB so far and I have NOT been babying it at all! The baby pink is so pretty (although the other colours are gorgeous too!)
Tory Burch is definitely a good buy for a starter, i've got a pink cross body that I bought at the same time as my ferragamo crossbody and the quality and durability is the same, and it's half the price, it's so worth it. i've even gotten more compliments wearing the tory than the ferragamo. I think longchamp is a little overrated for a bag, I personally don't recommend it. For wallet, I recommend ferragamo, just because their designs look timeless. A cheaper and younger looking alternative is proenza schouler, they are for the younger crowds and affordable.
you Hi I have been watching your videos for quite some time, super helpful. Please help me out with this huge dilemma I have got, to choose my first Chanel ! I do think the classic is gorgeous but I do find it a slightly mature style which i could get a few years later. The Chanel boy is something I find to be more modern and fun and more of an evening bag i'm not sure if the classic chanel gives more of a day bag look. But everyone says a classic is a classic and best investment blah blah. Also, heard that the wear and tear on a boy is worse. Not sure if I should go with the boy or stick with the classic. Please help!
hello. I've just started watching your videos and you've been a big help. I'm thinking about buying a few luxury pieces and I wanted to ask your opinion regarding a few shops that sell pre owned luxury items. have you heard of DAIKOKUYA and the HANDBAGCLINIC? I have seen your previous video about buying pre-owned items but you haven't mentioned these shops so Im kinda worried the might be selling counterfeit items. I'll continue to watch you videos hoping you might answer my question. All the best!
Great video, agree with you about many designer shoes being overpriced. I am really thinking about getting the disco soho, and your videos are convincing me to get it. BTW, you look so pretty!
I bought mine pre-loved however the mini is considered a seasonal piece which Chanel do release periodically. So they will eventually come back into stock, it's just a matter of when and in what combination :)
Tory Burch ballerina flats were the worst purchase ever. They stretched out, never fit properly and we basically a disappointment. The best purchase: my Prada wedge / thong sandal. They've lasted for years and are still sold at Nordstrom. I can't tell you how many compliments I've had on them. Louboutin's are so uncomfortable but they look fab! Jimmy Choo classic pumps are always a great buy as well.
I need your expertise. I've been saving up money quite sometime now. And I'm planning on purchasing my first Chanel handbag. I'm debating between getting a classic double flab medium vs jumbo and I'm also have a hard time deciding on the gold vs silver hardware. Please help me?
I have three and a half out of the five 😊. (I have a Gucci travel bag which is similar in size to the disco). Now all I need is the elusive mini. 😍❤😍❤😍 I covet your red mini sooooo badly. If you want to part with her please message me the money would be in your account that day!!! Name your price 🤑 I would love you to do a video on how to get your holy grail bag. What your strategies are, how you build up a relationship with either an SA or a boutique. As I'm based in Scotland there are no Chanel boutiques so shopping, especially for the elusive mini is near in impossible and a trip to the boutiques just isn't practical. How do you or would you go about it. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy all that you share and love looking at all your beautiful pieces. A truly outstanding collection.
Hey Amie! I love your videos!! However I do agree on the Chanel mini and also the Gucci Soho as I have both and adore both.. But the Neverful.. Is it made out of good quality? I could never bring myself to buy one, as I'm from Australia and they cost like $1,800-2000 here and to me it just feels cheap.. :(
After watching your 'what I earn' vid I'm so curious, you're a senior manager of which company? xD I'm also in the financial department and you're so inspiring
