I was going to sand and paint it, but changed my plan. Because after the gas is over, you give it to the gas agency. The agency keeps your cylinder and gives you a replacement. And you don't know what you'll get in return. In short, you'll lose your repainted cylinder - is what I realized 😐 Sorry, but I get your point. Thank you for your feedback Devaraju. I would have asked the same question.
Great information I have the same one as shown, I think it is 2kg cylinder not 5kg Do we need to change the cylinder after 10yrs of usage and rust forming? Thank you in advance!
The cylinder is replaced by the gas agency each time it's over, which is why I didn't show repainting the body. Gas cylinders are built like battle tanks for safety, the rust forms on the outer shell that protects the thick inner shell that holds the gas.
@@kitchenkitchen108 I checked with one of agency nearby they said they will refill the same one and not replace it so was wondering if we need to discard the cylinder after 10yrs of usage with rust forming
@@nischalnd Something new I learned..the system is different here in Mumbai (via gas agency). Scrub the outer surface with 200# sand paper and apply red oxide followed by oil paint of your choice. This will protect the body. The inner shell would be intact. However, please consult gas cylinder agency and see what they have to say about how long a cylinder lasts.
Are these gas stoves safe? While cooking, the fire warms up the cylinder area downwards because of the stove heat. Do they explode by any chance? Please reply!
Absolutely safe. The cylinder is encased in a hard metal shell and the heat is just minimal..it doesn't heat up so much that you can't touch it. Just like our regular gas stoves, it's recommended you use this in a well ventilated space. Thanks for the question 🙏🏼
