I got into the wait list for oathsworn and after waiting for months, I was finally informed that they got a copy for me. But I realise the shipping cost to my country Singapore is $190 for collector's edition. Even though it is super high and unbelievable I still decide to back it and support them
I would not worry about Oathsworn. I took a long hard look at the time and the boss fight seemed repetitive e.g. damaging different parts did not affect gameplay. Heroquest v2 also did not change gameplay in anyway, just a reprint essentially. Check out Uprising:Curse of the Emperor and Divinity Original Sin: The Boardgame - think you can still late pledge for both. As you love Gloomhaven, especially check out Divinity - a full on fantasy campaign packed with story, based on the RPG.
We are living in golden age of boardgames. So it is not possible to buy and play all games you are interested in. Every month at least 2 "must haves" are on Kickstarter or Gamefound. I dont want to be like Boardgameco, who has a lot of games, which he does not play. I believe he got Tainted grail some half a year ago and has not played it yet. I still enjoy teaching and playing Catan with beginners. And as next game introducing Kemet to them🤣
Definitely a problem that I will be struggling with! Too many games not enough time. Not the worst problem but I think having a game and not playing it for a year and a half is crazy!
First of all I like to express my congratulations on your channel success. It is well deserved, I really like the authentic and relatable approach. Totally getting your point. Especially your No 1 pick. Game related I have never been more happy in my life when I "accidentally" catched the Oathsworn late pledge. Your phantom pain must be exponentially worse than my waiting. Not to put the finger even deeper into the wound. But when you are going to get the game - fingers crossed - or want to torture yourself, there are some glorious tutorials on YT: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EEnrNnaD2WE.html Keep up the good work, and no malice intended. Rooting for you.
I definitely had the same debate you had; Stormsunder vs Wild Assent. I went with Wild Assent because I don't always make it through full campaigns and it seems easier to have a one-shot playthroughs. I missed Oathsworn as well, however, Arydia looks really good to me right now!
I got heroes quest from my local game store way way back.(and several expansions) Where kickstarters even a thing back then? It was my first introduction to roleplaying games. Is the kickstarter for a reprint or something?
Return to the dark tower and Altar quest looked really interesting for me. But I do not regret not backing. Fortunately there are late pledges and second hand market. Give us TI 4 video after :)
@@viesturskokarevics2427 How'd it go? I just finished one last night. Lost to Embers. I was Mentak and was one move away from winning when i got scooped by a 4 point play in one turn lol
@@neuralnetgames6540 we were playing until 8 points. I was leading with Sol, had 7 points but everyone turned on me and Letnev won. Looking forward for next game.
I played Waste Knights a few weeks ago and i was not impressed at all.The game is more or less a race and you don't really get to get a feel for a power arc of ypur character. Also it's like every other Ameritrash out there, nothing that makes it stand out.(graphic design, mechanics etc.)
