@@bobbycutts2111 I don't think it really is about hating BC so much, I think it has more to do with ulterior motives and pregnancy ambivalence. One might not be sure that they want to mitigate the risk of having a child, because they secretly want one. Or one might want to have one as a misguided attempt to keep the relationship together, or stick it to the man in an act of revenge. Or the woman in question simply can't think beyond her own uterus, and wants to fulfill her instinct to reproduce, even if it is counterproductive in the long run. It is Latinas in particular who actually have a cultural dislike for BC, moreso than women of any other race. Yes there are women of all races who think this way. But the reason it affects Latinas so much, is the Catholic Church's indoctrination that most of them grew up with. They will have no problem cherry picking their religion, by making a spontaneous decision to fornicate, thus foolishly taking the risk of having an accidental child. Somehow that's OK. But when it comes to any responsible planning to mitigate that risk, such as carrying condoms and being an established user of BC, that's when it somehow becomes a sin.
