In Korea he is fine. But internationally he is very unliked. Not that it really matters.. He comes from a very rich and privileged background. He's literally a nepo baby.. I get why netizens were angry at Siwon, he found God, good for him but he appears as a hypocrite when they are videos of him out there kissing Hee-chul on the mouth, he went beyond fanservice. He was sexually ambiguous. As for Davies she knew what was coming, what did she expect? You disagree with the law of your country then resign, as simple as that, and pray to God you find something in accordance with your beliefs. I have absolutely enjoyed the onscreen performances of Korean actors and actresses. I haven't known anything about their personal lives to be influenced whether to watch them or not. I'll continue to view the excellent Korean tv shows and films. I was saddened by the recent passing of a young Korean actor/singer. I had just binge watched a series he was in. A very tragic loss to his family and fans.

I'm not religious so I get even more pissed off when those with religion feel they can discriminate against others, and use their upbringing or beliefs as an excuse. I don't care whether someone has a belief or not, but having one doesn't make you better than anyone else, gay, straight or anywhere in-between, so keep your discrimination to yourself, and let others live their lives.

When you say “knowing his personality”, in what way do you know his personality? Do you know him personally, are you friends with him; or do you only know what he shows you as an actor in interviews or as a character on screen? While I do also really like him as an actor, I would never go as far as to say I know his personality, because I don’t, I don’t know him at all. I only know what he chooses to show people or us as fans. That’s such a weird statement or choice of words when talking about someone you genuinely don’t know 😒🤔. Maybe learn to be more objective, everything that glitters is not always gold. It doesn’t mean that you have to stop being a fan; you should realize that people will only let you see what they want you to see.

Because of what they said that hurt people’s feelings, you stop being fan of them. This world has so much criticism and hatred toward one another. The wise celeb will always go with what he's been told to say in interviews. He will always play it safe never ever revealing his true thoughts for fear of offending his popularity. Western celebs are much more confident/ have much more freedom of speech can live as they please regardless of their sexual preference in relationships, are not ruled by their fans indifference to them. Great video, although the title is a little misleading. These actors didn’t ruin their careers. Most of them have been extraordinarily successful despite the stupid things they have said. While I disagree with all of their statements and find them offensive, I think it’s ridiculous to put celebrities on a pedestal and expect them to be intelligent, wise, kind, and broad-minded. They might be talented performers, but that doesn’t mean they are good at life in other ways. The problem with celebrity worship is that we expect them to be all-knowledgeable and superhuman. They are just as dumb about some things as the rest of us. Still, it is a good idea to point out what they do or say when it’s harmful, because they influence gullible fans who often believe their words because of celebrity worship. I’m saddened by the commenters who are defend these ignorant statements, but lack of diversity education and bigotry are common. I think it’s fine to still enjoy an actor’s performances and disagree with their thinking. There is not reason to defend everything they say. Thank you for this informative video!

as an actor you make your living off the audience, you get PAID for creating illusions, and insulting 85% of that audience is a) incredibly stupid and b) incredibly shallow. Siwon is a different case.
The only illusion they are paid to bring to life is the characters in whatever show and movie they are in. We are to enjoy their work, not dictate their lives. You aren't putting down your audience because you express who you are attracted to. Actors I like have named their ideal types. And that could be nowhere close to who I am. I won't stop liking them because of it. That would make me shallow, delusional, and a bit of an asshole. And lets no pretend folks aren't watching most of these guys for their visuals because they fit their preference.
And I get what you mean about how there is a way to express your thoughts, but why do we get to decide how it should be done. If someone ask you out, saying you're not my type or no thanks can mean the same thing to that person you rejected. Its still a rejection and they can be hurt by that. So if an actor says I don't like fat calves oppose to I like fit calves, it means the same. Someone will have an issue with rhat.
