My heart really goes out to Kim Seon Ho and Jo Byeongyu. KSH issues with his girlfriend were super private and should not have been aired out that way. It was wrong of him to ghost the brands he was associated with right after the news dropped but what happened to him was really unfair especially when the truth came to light about his ex-gf's true colours. As for JBG, this was just criminally wrong. People really need to be put behind bars for slandering/defaming some celebrities like this. What I really appreciate about JBG was that he never apologized for the scandal unlike other celebs for causing a scandal. K-netz expect you to apologize even if you did nothing wrong but when a scandal takes place. I really really appreciated how him and his agency stood their ground and did not apologize. They were the victims. The victims should never apologize.

Although I admit that Seo Ye Ji is a very beautiful and talented person, I still feel bitter whenever I think about what Seohyun had to go through because of her and his ex-bf. I know it wasn't entirely her fault but she has been a big part of it. It sucks that Seohyun and the entire staff of the drama had to go through that without even an apology from both of them.

What shocked me is not the actors but the importance given to anonymous netizens. The keyboard warriors are doing so much damage to other people solely because of..... jealousy? Self hate? I don't know what their problems are but they need to stop! We should cancel the cancel culture.

Seon Ho did not deserve what happened to him. They also kicked him out of 2 days & 1 nigth. At least, dispatch came to his defence.

I hate how agencies make their idols apologize for damage control when they're not guilty because it's not like it actually ever helps with damage control, it just makes them look guiltier, just like when they remain silent. The best way is to strongly & directly go after the creators of the false accusations because they always chicken out on their lies when legal action is involved. That's been the case with almost every single bullying accusation surrounding an idol/actor so far. The companies that didn't back and instead kicked their idol/actor out were wrong (most cases, not every single instance).

Still waiting for season two of the Uncanny Counters. I don’t understand this cancel culture. If someone messes up in their past, should that affect their way of making a living? I think they should reflect, apologize, and be sincere- but especially in cases without proof, people with nothing to do with the matter shouldn’t have the power to cancel someone. The only power they should hold is the ability to be like, “nope, not watching” and changing the channel. There’s been too many cases where people have lost their reputation and careers over false accusations. And then the real fans miss out on wonderful things.

Kim Seon Ho's scandal has been my biggest heartbreak in 2021. Especially when he had to leave 2D1N. I've been such a big fan of the show because it helped me a lot during my most difficult times as I suffered with anxiety and depression. 2D1N S4 is like a family to me. And it will never be the same to me anymore since Seon Ho's departure. 🥺

The fact that the Korean public believes anything a stranger says is baffling. The way they immediately give up on promising celebrities just because of some Rando on the internet is laughable to say the least. So many Celebrities get their whole career ruined because of jealous people on the internet every year! It’s sad to see the lives of people get ruined so easily…

I get frustrated every time I remember Byeongkyu's allegations. I adore him a lot since TUC and I'll keep being a fan of him. The way he handled the situation is very neat and smart, the way he uses words and worded his thoughts makes me respect him even more. I feel really sad for him and his Sky Castle twin, Kim Donghee for what they have experienced. I can't imagine how these accusations affected him and his mental health (including other actors/idols). Just thinking about it makes me feel anxious. But then, I'll continue to defend Byeongkyu, I know he did nothing wrong and everything is just a false accusation and an act of defamation.

An actors private life should be exactly that, PRIVATE. Unless/until accusations can be proven they should remain anonymous and allowed to carry on. It’s easy to point the finger and accuse someone of ANYTHING, so ruining someone’s life without knowing for sure that they are guilty is horrendous. These people crawl out from underneath a stone to say things in the hope of a pay off to keep quiet because they know how damaging an accusation can be even to an innocent person, the accusers themselves don’t appear to be named and ridiculed for what they’ve done if they’re lying. The only one I have no sympathy for is Seo Ye Ji, if the texts are real the evidence of what she did is all there for everyone to see.

I was so excited for the drama "Island." Being a fan of both Kim Nam Gil and Seo Yea Ji, it was like some kind of dream project coming true moment for me but then this thing happened. Whatever it's I don't agree with Seo Yea Ji's behaviour but I really hoped she would have played the role of FL in that drama. But it's okay now. I am quite happy with the current cast and hope that it will air soon.

I think it's justin South Korea. You can't get cancelled that easily in the Philippines. Even if actors have been proven cheating with their partners, they'd still get projects regardless and still have supporters.

KSH and JBG were one of the actors that I idolized not because of the rumors showing up but on how devoted they are in acting. Even Ji Soo his acting are amazing. People do commit crimes and people do make a lot of terrible mistakes, but if actor like Ji Soo admitted those mistakes before he started acting would all of his fans learn to think that he deserve a second chance or at least a chance to prove himself that he changed for the better? They wouldn't even if Ji Soo mentioned it to the very beginning or when those rumors blasted, people would still put him down without giving him a chance. Even if at least there's 1% goodness and 99% badness remains in a person, it means that there is still a chance for that person to turn it over and have it switched to 99% goodness and 1% badness. Please some people who love to cancel just make sure to at least help those people change others by not dragging them down but to help them be corrected.

Here in my country, if an actor or actress have issues from their past or even present we don’t fcking care since it’s their life and we’re not going to be affected by it. Korea is so sensitive that they feel hurt by someones past even tho they are not involved.

I’m glad people can express issues that bothered them, but what a person do in their past and they correct it, then it shouldn’t stop their careers. When a person does something in the present and not correct it, they should be reprimanded. Everyone has to work. I miss Jisoo.

After what happened to S3 of 2D1N, I know that KBS is being more cautious of the public. The show struggled because of a member on the previous season and because they've been on the spotlight after such incident, other members too were put under fire. The show was put on indefinite hiatus and eventually decided to put an end as they've hit rock bottom. They cancelled the show without plans for the future nor proper farewell from the show. I know it's unfair for KSH but they were under fire for such a long time that they can't afford to lose the momentum. It's not really just all about him after all. The show alone employs around 100 staffs and if they were weighing everything, it's more reasonable to save those 100 people than 1. They made a decision to save 1back then and it cost them so much. They already rebranded with S4 but if something goes wrong they might cancel the show forever. So I don't really blame them for choosing what they chose. The only thing I can wish for is for KSH to do well in finding his path once again.

It's weird how those netizen don't even wait for the news to be confirm but quickly cancel it without legit proof. And more super weird is why tf all those 'victims' always come out only after the actor become main lead/ the drama/film are like super successful. Why don't they come out early? My personal opinion, this shows how much the K-industry different from the rest of the world. Guys listen , about SEO YEA JI scandal it was him(her ex) who was first being possessive and all so she did the same thing but she was getting criticism and many of her other staff said she was really kind and hardworking and she was never rude to them ! 9 times out of 10 when an victim makes a accusation, they end up saying it was false.. honestly I find it hard to believe. Believe that so many people embark on such risky legal proceedings for what? For fun? I have the feeling that many victims in the end, either receive financial compensation to say that they lied and that everything was false, or are threatened and change their statements to protect themselves... because it's hard to believe that so many people lie, it makes no sense

There’s a pattern when this people get famous others who spite them start to make false rumors to take them down why do fans get so invested and believe so easy. These people don’t even reveal their names proof they even went to school with them but make it so big. They are many idols who did do bad things and hurt people but I wouldn’t believe EVERYTHING until the investigation is done. Seo Ye Ji has a lot of problematic behaviors. The boyfriend thing aside, her behavior to her neighbors is appalling and she has been reported to be very snobbish and entitled toward others. She used to be one of the actresses I really liked in the beginning but I really can't stand to see her in anything. Her behavior makes it hard to support anything she touches. Rumors are rumors, I realize, but when many are saying the same things, are they really rumors anymore? Probably not.

I like actors who can show their emotions on the screen and are brave enough to do whatever the script asks of them, while being sincere and true to themself and their profession. Is it necessary for an actor to be a good person, to always be kind and to be a little angel. No! It is strange that actors (who people look up to) in Korea and China need to be perfect human beings in private too. Yes! In other places and times, talented actors can be enfant terribles, womanizers, addicts, mental basket cases, or simply not nice, and still be fabulous actors, maybe because they are so wacky and the fame takes it’s toll. Is that healthy? Well, probably not for the actors themselves. But the public, fan or not, can live their merry lives anyway. Why? Because the actors are human beings and not idols, demigods or cult-leaders. I like Seo Ye Ji a lot. She’s a classy lady and fearless in her acting. I don’t know if her onscreen character is the same as in her personal life. But casting selected her for her roles and saw it was good. I don’t know if she likes toxic relationships privately. But the director selected her for her role and saw it was good. I don’t know if her colleagues and crew found it hard to work with her. But she work hard in her role and the movie looks good and is successful. And there you have it folks! Terrible peeps have played in amazing movies 🎥 and we are there to watch them 🍿. Until they become a criminal and go to jail. But that is after they are proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. 🙏!

I personally think Kpop and K drama artists face so much scrutiny in Korea because it much easier to pick on them than hold the government, politicians and the super rich braty Chaebols that own too much power and control. K neitzens feel frustrated, angry and tired because of cost of living, inflation and lack of jobs. Therefore, getting enraged by the artist personal choices in their private lives help them vent some of this anger and helps them fantasize that they are powerful and can either make or break an artists career.
