When I use the melted butter, milk and extra egg, it just doesn’t work for me. I’ve made 2 this way and I’m afraid to try again! Anybody know what I might be doing wrong? I follow the recipe to the letter. They turn out about an inch high and extremely dense. Help!
These recipes look so delicious! Speaking of pineapple cakes, I have a hack for one. Add one large can of crushed pineapple to a box of angel food cake mix. Mix, bake, and cool as directed on the box (you won't need any other liquid; the pineapple is enough.) It makes a lovely, moist cake. As a bonus, it is very low fat! I serve it with whipped cream and sliced strawberries, but it is equally good plain. Cheers!

I have a recipe that you just take a can a pie filling spray your pan first and then pie failing, and get some of that jiffy cake mix and sprinkle on top and then cut out squares of a stick, of butter and put it on top And bake it is a delicious dessert. I have done strawberry apple and then I then crushed pineapples and cherries do not add nothing to the cake mix just sprinkle it dry and then put the butter on top of it I do not have no pacific time to bake. Just check on it till it’s brown. I’m thinking 35 minutes.

When I was newly married (decades ago), my southern mother in law always made the best homemade cakes. I was ashamed of my boxedcakes. I told her this and she told me she uses boxed cake mixes too. The trick is to add a couple more eggs than the recipe on the box!!! Shame denied 🤣🤣
I made the Mounds cake a couple years ago for my husbands' birthday, but I made it an Almond Joy cake. He gave it a 15/10! His birthday is next week and guess what kind of cake I'll be making this year? I think last time I made it, it was gone in 2 days! LOL I got the recipe off the side of the generic box cake mix. I think it was Always Save brand.

It does look great. Can I tell you guys something? Please use Nestlé‘s and Hershey’s chocolate chips. A doctor told me they are the most pure chocolate without cockroaches. When they set out the chocolate to dry, cockroaches love them and climes into them. They people do not care in South America. They process with the cockroaches in the chocolate. People are not allergic to chocolate, it is the cockroaches!!!! Please change. European chocolate are really wonderful too.

Hi Valerie !! All the Duncan Hines cake mixes used to be 18.25 oz's !! Check out Catherine's Plates, she also has good cake mix mash ups !! I'll try the mounds cake. I don't like red velvet & I hate pineapple & pecans !!
You showed 2 sticks (1 cup) of butter, the ingredients indicate 1 cup, BUT the instructions indicate 1/2 cup (1 stick). You said you added one stick (1/2 cup) is that correct?
Thank you thank you for these recipes. I've just spent the last 2 days long handwriting 16 of your Boxed cake mix hacks! Since my printer decided, it doesn't want to print anymore. If it isn't one thing it's another. I bet ya all didn't know that there are printers out there that just print in black and white! While I found out too late after 90 days so I couldn't return it any longer! I like to print up my own cards from a Hallmark software. Save a lot of money that way. But thank you again Valerie for these recipes and I am going to try each and every one of them!
Your channel popped up on my RU-vid “To Watch” I’m so glad it did. I like to watch what you can make out of a box cake mix. When I need the volume of the 18.6 ounce cake mix. I use my kitchen scale and add 3 ounces of all purpose flour. I was unable to locate the printed recipes for your cakes in this episode. Love your Vlog.

Add coffee in place of water in chocolate cake,add an extra egg and extracts and milk in place of water use butter in place of eggs…! No secret there !!!
