I've said it many times, I'll say it again. This man is showing you everything you need to know. Take his advice and you'll see huge differences. For example he's very obsessed with right kerning. I personally never cared. After I subscribed and watched him for a while, I started changing my kerning. And my works look way better. Listen to this man, love this man, subscribe to this man. 1. contrast //what need to see 1st 2. grid //keep designing tidy 3. typography max 3 same family - display typeface 4. image to deliver content //low opacity if needed 5. zoom out/bird view thanks^^

Posters are such an important aspect of advertising. So many times it was a well made, thought provoking poster that got me interested in partaking in an activity or event. These designs came out awesome Will, as always!

Hope you started already. It looks like he is using illustrator but could be InDesign, both are Adobe products. Adobe, although expensive, is the industry standard. Catch the sale on Black Friday to get all the programs at a cheap low price.

Hey Will, how do you know how large (columns and rows) the grid should be for your project? Does is scale with the size of the art board or?

It doesn’t really matter too much, just enough to give consistency! There are ways of doing it with specific numbers of grids but I don’t always do that.

Hello will, I am extremely impressed. You are genius. Your content is full of knowledge. I have one question and I request you to please reply me if possible. While making grid you make 7 vertical lines? How did you decide this? And what about horizontal lines? Is there any specific spacing? Please do reply me

17 By 21 is a nice vertical grid. Gives more lead space for posters in my opinion. :)

can anyone recommend the best way to learn illustrator? I've had it before I wanted to make simple posters for my business but found it hard to use. I know it looks so simple when you know how but if I wanted to do something but didn't know how to describe what it was I found it hard to find an answer online.

Don't be afraid to copy others' works. It's okay as long as you include your own elements or unique ideas into it. Start with a free template available online. If you want to learn poster designing using Illustrator, that's one way to learn.
