I know this isn’t new, but I’m turning all my builds into 5 minute videos which will become a playlist. Just a fun little exercise of editing and clarity. Who’s ready to build something? 🎉
I'm starting my antique) window greenhouse as soon as the weather clears enough, probably March. I've been watching any video I can find with a simple build, even if they aren't the type that I'm building. I figure I can learn something from each one.
Nice little recap of the full-length version :) You and Dave sure have been a positive inspiration for a lot of us! These projects are sure a lot of fun to grow with ... best advice for anyone just wondering "what if.. " is to jump in and do it. Lots I'd do differently if I get a chance at another one, but I've sure learned a lot! Enjoy, Brooke!! We gone, too ... God Bless you and yours
I love how strong of a woman you are. Thank you for all of your inspiration!! Have you ever considered building a cob home or a "cobbin" with pallets? I'd love to see you build one.❤
Brought back so many memories of the time I spent learning of the Wonderfulness of depending on yourself. And Maisey looks young and chipper. Thanks for this
I sold my house and have been living in one of these for several months now. I’m building a second one and hooking it to power so I can escape the heat in summer. My plane is to never have a mortgage again. I’ll just build more tiny cabins as I need more space. If you’re physically unable to build one, maybe someone can help you. Just make sure you check for building codes and permits before you build, if you plan on living there permanently. Unfortunately many governments have decided to dictate what type of shelter we’re allowed to live in, despite our species living in much more meager structures for hundreds of thousands of years
The original video was the first video I watched on your channel. That cabin is still my favorite of all of your projects. Of course, I am REALLY looking forward to the Alaskan Log Cabin!!!
I remember when you built this A-Frame cabin. I'm glad you are going back and making your builds into 5 minute videos so we can revisit your creations and enjoy them again. I never cease to be amazed by your drive, determination and abilities! All this and you still manage to remain humble and thankful to God for your blessings ... you and your family definitely help keep this world beautiful. Thank you!
Back in Dayton Ohio. After 30 yrs. THINK IM GOING BACK to TN. 😊... Miss my mountains. But I've been planning my tiny home for mths. And when spring was approaching I woke up 1 morning and I discovered I'd had a stroke. 😢. But in the past few wks. Walking almost completely normal. No cane, no walker absolutely no crutch what so ever. Watching u with all ur little power tools, the 4wheeler , just u girl. Ur awesome girl. I'm impressed. Ur great with a hammer. EVERYTHING. INSPIRATIONAL as hell. Yeah... And if dropping ur pencil thru the cracks then u did FAN FABULOUS. ( LOL) Haha. And I hear that, peaceful and going fishing. Crappie n bluegill sounds good to me. Homemade slaw n fries. Keep giving life hell. I really enjoyed ur video. 😅. Got er done.
My favorite you tube friend in another of her magical places. Girl you’re just unstoppable…. It’s amazing how we feel we know you just by you sharing your visions and bringing them to life….. you make me want to: Get you…. Go wild and LIVE the dream….. Dream it then make the vision live….. that’s you…. Just don’t dream coffin 😂😂😂😂 If I could build that would be an awesome place in my back yard…
I love these little cabins, but mine gets unbelievably hot in the summer. I have a dark green roof too and later learned that is one of the worst colors if you’re trying to keep the heat out (love the color though). I live in the Deep South. I’m building a second one, but this time I’m putting a radiant barrier under the roof with an air gap. Hopefully that’ll mitigate the heat, but won’t know until summer. Anyway, your complete build video was a huge help when I built my first one. Keep ‘em coming
@@alivewithhemp4989 I’ll probably try to vent it better in the future. I really like the color, so I’m going to try other options first. It’s not bad most of the time
You make it look like you know what you're doing. Did you come up with the plans yourself? It's such a perfect "woman cave". I remember the time you struggled to close that wall and had forgotten it was tied to that swing frame. I felt so bad for you ! That's something I would do so I felt your pain. If it were me, I probably wouldn't have included that in the video, but that makes you "you". The you we all love and admire.
I remember when you built that and you were so funny because you were trying to get the side door to go up and you couldn't figure out what was wrong with your struts. LOL it is so great to see somebody doing what I wish I could do. I'll just continue to live vicariously through you, Bush radical, and black spruce.
Hi Brooke! So happy to catch one of your fantastic videos first thing on Monday morning, here in Australia. I loved every moment of the videos you made while building this little A-Frame cabin. What a fantastic little sanctuary you've built all by yourself. I love your drive, motivation and persistance. Thanks for all the inspiration and fun!
I love this cabin! I loved learning and watching how you built it. I loved seeing you transform that area from rough bush to a woodland sanctuary oasis. Just hearing all the birds singing and having your pup with you is the deepest and truest kind of pleasure a nature-lover can have. I only wish I could have been there to help you, but knowing it is possible to build this tiny beauty by ourselves is comforting. I'd love to have one of these on the back side of my property as a little book-nook get-a-way. Thank you for the positivity, the video and for all that you do! Take care, be safe, and keep warm. Love, peace and blessing to you and yours! 😊💖🙏🏻
Brooke, it is perfect and it is great. It's all of those things because you built it with your own two hands and it is a wonderful thing that you've done and you'll enjoy it for years to come. Kudos to you, my dear!
I so love this cabin Brooke. Enjoyed every video you have included it, and this short one is no exception. You amaze me with your talents and abilities to carry out these big projects!
You have such a tranquil piece of property, Brooke. Nothing like the woods and water of the UP. This is such an inspiring build, and I would have never got to know the music of Ben Wagner without this build. Great job selecting clips and editing this down. Looking forward to one day having an opportunity to revive the spirit at your new camp!
I always enjoy watching. I've built a firepit outside in the backyard and the 5 grandkids are gonna enjoy some smore's and I've been chopping and cutting wood with my Christmas Chainsaw... You have inspired me!
Thank you for doing this video! I enjoyed watching your journey building this cabin. This quick montage was fun and an insightful reminder of the work that goes into building. We paid our final mortgage payment in November (17 years early) and our last debt in December. Now we are saving for some remote property to build off grid. 🎉
Oh how I loved re watching this! It sure makes you dreaaam 💭 It's that time of year where winter really shows us her true colours.. so bleak and grey (and very little sun 😔). The audio alone transports me back to warm summer days.. I really miss the birdsongs and cicadas growling 🪲 We sure can't wait for what this year's projects will be!
Now that I've seen ur A-frame again, i want to build one for myself, too! i feel like something as small & basic as this would be a nice hideaway if u just wanna recharge ur socials batteries, or fish, or write, or paint. great job building it all on ur own. 👏♥️
I remember when you construct this A frame loved watching this build as well as your other builds , And definitely looking forward to your upcoming cabin build. Don't think I have missed any of your or Daves videos.. London, Ontario , Canada Your an amazing confident women with some epic skills .
Loved watching it the first time, and loved watching it now. Just absolutely fantastic Brooke, love all your builds even the overnight brush shelter's ❤️ just incredible.
I wish i was tech smart enough to do what you're doing! Because i'm doing the same thing at 63 but have no clue how to show anyone! Even with cancer treatments i'm doing pretty damn good and ha ing 2 dogs and pig that was a rescue thats ornery than hell. You ate awesome and love watching you
Love this build! My daughter & I have wished we could build something similar in our back woods, by a shallow little pond we have, but I fear the heat & critters here in central Oklahoma might limit our use of it. The snakes & spidies might think we opened an airbnb just for them! 😂 But we still dream. You're so inspiring, Brooke! Love & prayers from the Cook girls!!!❤️🙏🏼❤️
I remember this build! Loved it! I wanna do something like this for my grandkids but I think I want to add like a 3 foot knee wall. The thing thats sticks out most with me that made me laugh so hard WITH YOU was when you forgot to release the rope and trying to figure out why the side wall wouldn't go up after you added the hydraulic lift arms.
Hi again BROOKE Remembering when you built it and all the work you put into it and the clearing of the close area. Your reveal was soo fun to see the cutest little A frame ever! That is a make ya smile kind of place for sure. Your colors and decor are so you and so perfect fitting it's own special personality. Am excited for the first cabin you'll be building by yourself. Congrats for your progress I know you're making with your health plans. Keep on keepin on and catcha next time. God bless...
we know neither a 5 minute build or editing job: but glad to have so much of to date; for some reason what sticks out is that busted...bldg that you cleared out and up, making good use of the land. from nz: i could watch that; see and listen, knowing what potential that land has, and you've dealt with it. gr8.
