How do we establish goals? A real problem in psychotherapy is what do you say after you say "hello"? What we say after "hello" that is meaningful in helping the patient to live a more adaptive, full life is an art more than it is a science. There are some principles we can consider. One thing that we can consider in an Ericksonian approach to psychotherapy is establishing a clear outcome.
