PEQ is awesome for guitar specific preset tones such as having a preset for les paul one for tele and one for strat. You can even set these for different pickups such as neck verses bridge kinda thing. The PEQ is a great secret sauce to use for sure. Thanks Leon!
They dont crap when you crank up the master, it actually reacts similar to how the real amp reacts in which it opens up the midrange and makes it less focused. To me a low master gets you that famous Recto scooped sound, but if you really want to cut and make it react faster, you crank up the master a bit.
Hi Leon I came across some old gig tickets from the 80s I was lucky enough to see Dokken/ Accept in London George Lynch was on fire and the mighty John Sykes twice with Thin Lizzy and once with Whitesnake his performance tone and playing was sublime great times indeed
The Grinder boost was such a welcome addition. I know it’s just a tilt EQ but it’s handy for aggressive modern tones. In your opinion, does it negate the need for engaging a low cut in the amp block? I usually set mine to 200 hz to tighten up the muddy bass.
Ferocious video thumbnail! Is the ‘Grinder’ boost input similar to the Fortin Grind pedal which acts as a bass cut and selective mid/high spectrum boost to clean up a muddy low end? I used the Neural version of that with the Nembrini Cali Reverb and it worked well. 👍
Would you recommend a FM3 and head rush monitor for a bedroom player? I love a whole bunch of different amps and I feel like this is a good way to have a little bit of everything
Love your stuff Leon ✌️about set it up axe fx3,: I just got an axe fx3 and Yamaha hs 8 monitor, how do you run the out of the axe? +4db or - 10db? +4db correct ? What about volume out 1 on the axe? I generally keep it just below 12 o clock. what about out 1 led ? is it normal that my leds never get past green ? would be nice to hear some tips from you, you have a fantastic sound, cheers my friend , stay safe
@@LeonTodd thanks :) kinda bass heavy , need to cut some basses out , but that's expected , saving up to get a couple of adam a7x , they must be glorious sounding :) about my question ? do you think it is safe to push out 1 volume past 12 o clock ?afraid of blowing up stuff ha ha ha also about out 1 led, is it normal that my leds never get past green ? keep up this great channel , love it :)
hello leon , maybe a dumb qeustion , but when your just playing at home are you using studio monitors for your axe fx sound or plugged into a power amp / speaker more often. i don't have monitors and wondering if they sound ballsy enough to substitue a proper cab at bedroom levels ? im looking at yamaha hs8 or a boss katana 2 with the power amp to run an fm3 through when it arrives ... thank toy
