@@LeonTodd still experimenting but currently have the 3 switches on the FM3 doing presets and banks (on long press); one dual switch is for drive and rotary, the other dual switch has one switch toggling between scene 1 (rhythm) and scene 2 (solo) and the second switch does a simple scene increment. The idea with the second switch is if I need a special kind of a sound, say like your rhythmic delay, I can toggle to that and then toggle straight back to scene one (rhythm) with the first switch instead of having to go back to the first scene via two stomps as decrements. Hope this makes sense? 😅
Thanks for the wealth of information Leon! I recently got a FM3 and your videos have helped so much. I also got one of those NUX switches, set it as a present inc/dec.
Just got my fm3 the other day largely from watching your videos about it. Wanted to say thanks for all the Good information. Makes the whole experience much better!
Always great tips, man. You're the man. Hey, Leon, what about other videos explaining how use midi controllers in the FM3? Assigning footswitches to control scenes and stuff. It would be SO HELPFUL, man! Thanks a lot!
I built a similar box to have two extra switches in the mean time I don't need to play live. Instant access to 4 scenes and a tap tempo/tuner switch. I could see myself gigging with just this.
What's up Leon, killer work as always. Question - I have the same NUX setup/FM3 and have it set up the way I want....except....is there a way to have the NUX's LED's on/off according to what effects are enabled/disabled? I've tried several combinations on the switch on the NUX as well as setting on the FM3, but can't figure the lights out. Not a showstopper, but would be nice to have. If I'm seeing your video right, the LED's on your NUX are only blinking, too and only flash and then turn off, regardless, right?
I watch just to hear ya play brother. That American lead is just brutal. Killer sounding, and especially when you add in ths delay, etc. Love it. I always liked either chorus or phasers just barely to thicken up the tone. Very cool. Hope you're well sir.
@@LeonTodd fighting the urge to expand is against our nature...but it really is fun to challenge yourself to keep it small and give yourself less options
Hi león, i have many questions. 1. Nux pedal have 3 modes (latch/Open/close) in this video what mode you use? 2. Cable A (red un your vídeo) go to fm3 in??? Cable B&A (grey in your video) go to fm3 in???
Is there any way to setup the stand-in switch in Momentary mode? For example: Pressing down engages lo-fi, and returns to normal upon releasing the footswitch
I use meloaudio midi commander, why in every scene or preset change, from button 1 to another button there is a sound delay such as pausing for less than 0.5 seconds
Hi Leon, thanks for this great video! I’m starting to learn more and more to use the fm3 in a live situation. Which pedalboard do use for putting your fm3 on ?
Hi In fm3 in the Standin switch menu, under the external FM3 sw1 (tip ring) and FM3 sw2 (tip ring) there are 8 more switches FC1 sw1 sw2 sw3 sw4 FC2 sw1 . . ........sw4 only the Layout function can be assigned to these 8 switches. I can't find anything in the manual or on youtube about those switches and what they do...help would be appreciated.. Thank in advance...
I have 2 switch boxes with 2 switches each....I set mine to do Presets/Scenes/FX/and Looper....let’s me go right to those layouts...comes in handy with the FC-6....
Is there a 3 switch pedal that I can add to the Fm9 ? I got used to having 12 switches and spending another $500 on an FC6 doesn't make sense financially.
Awesome videos ~ question ~ how would I use the FC 12 switch one to control the amp blocks input boost/type (808 etc)? Not very knowledgeable in today’s hi tech modelers!! Not sure what to do even after reading the FM3 and FC 12 manuals ~ Cheers
Hi Leon! I’m using just as you, an expression pedal on pedal input 1 and an Ampero Switch which basically work as your NuX on pedal input 2. My intention is to use the switch to go down (1) and up (2) each scene. Is that possible? If so can you tell how should I setup for that? Thanks in advance.
HI Leon thanks for all this information. I've connected to the fm3 a similar dual switch but when I engage , let"s say a drive pedal it stay on even if I go to another scene. So my question is how to change that beheviour? Thanks
I have a question for you. I also have the FM3, and I normally set my input to never reach the red led. It goes to the orange at maximum. That's because I normally reduce a little bit the input. Is there a problem with with that, or I'm losing signal? To be perfectly clear, I don't tank it, I just take enough so it doesn't go red. Thanks
Hi Leon, I'll bet you had some mighty fine caffeinated coffee before you shot today's video!!! Man you were going so fast, Racer X : ) Peace Brother : )
Your three goto patches are similar meat n' potatoes that I use live. Of course, I love how your's sound over mine (tone envy). I would really like to copy your FX specific parameters of those 3 settings into my G-Major2. So how can we make this happen? My sister likes to travel the world and has been to Perth. After she leaves Maui, how about I send her to your house with a spiral notebook and pen?
Hahaha yep send her over, I'll put the kettle on! On the g major try the dual delay with a quarter and does eighth now values, add some chorus and +/-11c stereo detune
@@LeonTodd She's a tea freak alright. That's her only vice. Oh, and you may have to hear some scripture and join her in prayer too. Or you could just whip out some Stryper all call it good!
@@LeonTodd I have to admit, I have never used the detune effect until now. I am impressed at the width it adds. As the sole guitar in a live band, I have spent years looking for ways to fill sonic space. Now that I have gone completely cab free and run stereo (with a vintage ADA MicroCab) to the PA, I'm looking forward to hearing these my new patches on stage. This is exactly why I appreciate your channel. You offer more than studio or man-cave player. You provide live settings that are tested and proven. Thanks!
