The Ampex has the best tape flange I've ever heard. TBH I own the Studer but don't use it much, the Ampex does all the heavy lifting.

they should realease the cracked versions :)) No seriously, if I make music from my music I would definitely buy them! Or maybe by the time I make the money, I will opt for different plugins already, the ones I know they really work for me. There are so many good bundles right now.

Can i use it as AU plugin? I just don't want to buy their hardware because modern computers are miles more powerful then anything they can put in that small box. In modern workstation computers you can put many cores CPU. Also there are better quality audio interfaces then UAD can offer like MSB Technology.

nope, in order to use the plugins you need the hardware to host them. the hardware also works as a license dongle you can choose to have multiple cores on the apollo hardware, there are different options. theres also the ones where it only has the cores, no interface, so thats cheaper. they also have the cores sold separately so you can build it into your pc if you dont want the box this is a lot more practical to have, use your pc's cpu for other plugins, with the price of all of uad's stuff you're gonna still be using other plugins. also, uad plugins can demand a lot

George Macken agreed. I run UAD primarily during through session tracking. Also after in mix downs but might grab an octo satellite soon.

If you did not want a satellite or an interface, you could choose the pcie card option. That should give you the most bang for your buck. Just a thought

you said the drums without anything which I liked and then you put the effect in there and I did not like that at all, and as you went a little bit further you explained a different effect but that sounded like the drums without anything on them. So confusing.

Why would you add 3 or 4 instances on all drum tracks? You could just bus them all to one track and change the settings there

+David Leon There is a difference between the accumulated effect of having each drum track run through the plug-in, which sounds more like tracking to tape. You get a nice effect using the plug-in on the drum bus alone, but it is not the same as using it on each track. These are great plug-ins.
