Alright, two things: 1) Sleepers don’t have a price limit. They’re simply cars that look pretty ordinary and/or can be confused for an ordinary car, yet surprise people. 2) I literally said these cars are obviously fast and that CAR GUYS would OBVIOUSLY know of them. Yet I still see comments saying “Who would think the M8 is slow??” Look at an M8 through a NON CAR PERSON’S perspective, they’re gonna literally see it as just a nice BMW. Not some earth-shattering, M car that can destroy Corvettes, super cars, super bikes, etc. I mean, getting a 2.5 second 0-60 in a big coupe (that isn’t even fully electric) is unheard of!! It’s all about performance RELATIVE to what you’d expect out of these cars from the perspective of NON CAR GUYS.
Some people forget that we don't all think the same. This video wouldn't exist if we all thought the same. One of my friends mistook a Shelby GT500 for a Camaro, a Corvette C8 for a Lamborghini, a Corvette C7 as a Ford GT, and a Ford GT as a Ferrari. He wouldn't have thought any of there cars were fast.
I'm very into car design and even I first thought they're ugly, but now after some weeks it grows on me, at least at the M models. I still think it should stay exclusive for M3/M4 so they're more different from their other cars.
The grille actually looks pretty nice, I hated it at first but now that I see it it fits in perfectly with the lines on the hood, headlights and general design/character of the car.
Like, no offence but none of these look "slow" or "normal" to me other than the cobalt and the volvo tbh, you must be living in some pretty nice neighbourhoods my dude
in london these cars are pretty normal except the chevy (these are very rare) BUT there all the lowest trim possible for example s6 and s7 are common see so a rs6 or 7 will sneak in if it was debadged. if u drive a new wagon volvo then ur just a cop.
Here in germany these cars ar normal, you see them everywhere. Especially where I live these cars are considered normal, here people drive Porsche and Range Rover, Urus and some Aston Martins or AMG GT63s. On the other hand, the Chevy would be a rare sight, just like any American car. Here something like a Corvette, a Challenger or Camaro is a more exotic sight than the 500th Huracan, DB11 or Aventador.
@@DefinitelyNotEmma I guess this is what we call different cultures then lol, here in Qatar I am used to land cruisers, porcshe caymans, Nissan patrols, Toyota corolla, and a lot of G wagon, and pretty much no one buys stock trim here, so anything that remotely looks the part is definitely acts the part too, I don't think I've seen almost any car that wasn't the highest trim or almost the highest (apart from the occasional company driver's errand car)
My favorite sleepers of all time are the Buick Roadmaster Estate, sharing the same engine as the C4 Corvette, and the PT Cruiser GT which has the same engine as the Neon SRT4
E63 for sure; dream car. Still, love my 2016 SHO. Black on black; tinted windows, 32,000 miles. Resonator delete. K&N air filter and cold air intake. Flowmaster 40 series race muffler. H&R lowering springs. 415 hp; 395 lb.-ft. Body roll and dive virtually eliminated. No torque steer. Essentially a Mercedes E-S Class tweener, size-wise. Kind of like a V8 550 with a solid AMG sport package. An extremely safe, family-friendly, long-distance hauler. Parked next to a naughty 2009 C63 AMG. Homicidal monster. Not fit for family duty. 6.2AMG badges are dead giveaway in this little-bitty thing.
I don't see any BMW or Audi as a sleeper. It may be just were I live, but we expect a bimmer to be fast. Some BMWs are actually somewhat reverse sleepers, as a base E36 316i will get smocked by a normal Mercedes 190E (not the cosworth). But maybe it's different in America idk
come to australia and you see them everywhere but they are a holden vf commodore and as utes as well you should google the holden vf ute, its the same as a chevy ss but as what americans call it a pickup truck
What about the W12 Continental GT and RR Wraith. They are well known for their level of luxury, but not necessarily for their performance. Looking at Carwows latest videos, a Conti can run with a 991.2 GT3. The wraith isn't too far off on a rolling race with the Conti.
You left out the F90 M5, in my opinion the big bulky sedan silhouette passes off as a better sleeper than the coupe styling on the M8!Also,Imran @evolve has been decimating all cars right upto the 992 turbo s with drag times of 10s dead
The M8 is not a sleeper, it’s big and sleek She’s big and she’ll bite your head off. For those who know be out the history of the m8 you can agree they’re all big beasts
the reason they discontinued the chevy ss is because holden got shut down by gm and holden is what makes it as the holden vf commodore and they ship them to the us and rebadge them as a chevrolet ss
No average person would look at a BMW M8 and think it should beat a modern Corvette. Nobody. Yet the bimmer does just that. Sleeper status for me. Price is irrelevant for sleeper cars
Chevy SS is fr a sleeper though. I find it hilarious when my buddy revs his SS sedan in a crowd of cars and EVERYONE is looking for a Camaro, Vette, Challenger, or Mustang lol 😂
@@Andrei-eb2du yeah bruh i watch him all the time he almost got me convinced to buy a corolla. he calls every car brand an endless money pit like alright these cars wouldn’t be in the streets if they were that bad lmaoo
I wouldn't consider any BMW a sleeper. I mean, bimmers are supposed to be fast, right? "The ultimate driving machine" Sometimes BMWs are reverse sleepers, for instance a 116d, which has the same engine as a diesel mini. You expect a BMW to be fast, but most small hot hatchbacks will embarrass a base 116d.
The new bmws look amazing except for one thing. The grills are HIDEOUS It's like they heard us making jokes about it and thought it was a compliment. No BMW, it's because you're making yourself into a laughingstock by ruining your cars!
HMMMMMMMMMMMMM I don’t know but I think that he may have had some help from his brother bladed because all of the pictures are the same and I recognize lots of the lines
