The Zelda 2 Enhanced PC Edition also has a built in Randomizer if you wanna play it with things in different places! :)

Hyper DBZ is so good! I've been wanting to build an arcade cab for years just to put this in it (Just a note, Hyper DBZ predates FighterZ by at least a few years. I was playing it back in 2016 and I don't think it was brand new then)

Final Fantasy Renaissance. Adds a bunch of new classes, some new content, new mechanics, some QOL updated, achievements.. absolutely worth looking for.

Of those 5, I've played MM Unlimited, TMNT Rescue-Palooza, and Zelda 2 HD. All great games, and I agree that they're worth playing! As for a suggestion, I've been into the Make a Good Mega Man Level (MaGMML) games, recently playing through the 3rd one. Given that that's a fairly long one, I'd recommend starting with the 1st one to get a good idea of what to expect from the series as a whole.

While I will concede that 2 is better, I must disagree with your assessment of 1. Having played through it again shortly before 3's release, I believe that 1 is still quite good, and worth playing. Maze of Death is a level that has grown on me over the years, Neon Gravity is an absolute joy to play, and I believe that all MaGMML players should experience the brokenness of City War (in its original form) at least once. Though I will recommend playing the Remastered version of 1, as that has infinite lives (which became standard in later MaGMML games) and a fixed version of Rush Jet. But I won't stop you from seeing for yourself how broken Rush Jet is in the original. lol

The Zelda 2 remake from Hoverbat is SUPERB. Any fan of Zelda 2 will love the additions to this game. It feels like the perfected version of this game. And, there is even a new post game if you beat the game twice.

Having played the Zelda 2 HD remake recently, I can confirm that they added ALOT of changes through out the game. A viewer of mine was trying to walk me through it on live stream and at almost every turn, he said "wow this is totally different!" I was never really a fan of OG Zelda 2, but this game has completely changed my mind on the game, it's very challenging and very fun to play!

If we're including ROM hacks, I'd like to recommend _New Super Mario World 1: The Twelve Magic Orbs Powered Up._ It's quality is absolutely insane. Also, if you like _Mega Man,_ then _Mega Man: Rock N Roll_ should be right up your alley.

I would love it if someone made a combination of the first 2 NES Zelda games into 1 game. With the over world playing much like Zelda 1 but palaces would switch to a sideview.

The updated version of megaman unlimited has an option to enable charging the buster you know which has been on it for years (and yes I have that version with the option and a 10th boss whirlpool man)

I would definitely recommend Final Fantasy Renaissance. Fixes the problems with the NES version and adds more classes, abilities, and whathaveyou.

There is even a remixed version of the music in Zelda 2 that jams hard as fuck. As a person that LOVES the Zelda 2 soundtrack, I was caught off guard on how good the remixed music is.

I think you sold MM Unlimited very short. The soundtrack is incredible, the Robot masters are just the start. The Wily Castle stages and the boss fights there are crazy, there's a Prototype Z that for all intents and purposes is Zero from the X series. Beating Zero with classic NES Mega Man is a trip, and then you can play through the game as the Prototype. It's really good.
