5 MORE Remarkable Unmarked Locations in Fallout 4 

Each time you've uploaded a Remarkable Unmarked Locations video, I initially misread it as "Unremarkable Marked Locations", which sounds equally as interesting (like F3's Abandoned Car Fort, on FNV's Mole Rat Ranch)

With all the threats of the wasteland, it’s a wonder that independent vendors like Leonard Moore, Eleanor and the cat shack vendor manage to survive. You have to set up defenses and arm your settlers to fend off settlement attacks yet these lone vendors get by with at most a pipe gun. I could imagine raiders leaving them alone because they might trade with them, but they’d still be vulnerable to ferals and mutants. One of my favorite vendors is a randomized human NPC who resides in this underpass near Hangman's Alley. They’re constantly stirring a cauldron and when you ask to see their inventory, they say that they have the best scrap in the Commonwealth.

I remember the Prost bar quite well...I fast traveled to the Boston Common area, at the wrong time! That Super Mutant Behemoth Swan was awake, and it was the first place I ran into, to get away from him. I picked up on the Cheers theme pretty damn quickly, and it's pretty creepy

People are quick to criticise Bethesda but they don't realise how much content is actually in the game. Other games only focus on the parts of the game that you have to complete to finish the game, Fallout gives you license to go anywhere and find or do things just because you can. They put so much time and effort into world building.

Dude. You underestimate the cats chance of survival. Not counting humans they are the only animal species that exists in the wild in every environment and on every continent on earth from rain forest to desert from the tropic to the poles you can find feral cats. They can eat almost anything and need so little water they can survive off the moisture in whatever they eat and can even srink salt water.

I don't think the guy is a cat farmer simply because there is a graveyard. This shows he has a love for each individual animal rather than viewing them as a product for a means of survival.

The rocket shack was a way for Beth to show off their physics engine in a fun way using in game assets. Also my theory as to why Gabe is fighting the ghouls is that Gabe has been recently ghoulified, and he's in that in between stage from human (Threat) to ghoul (ally). Perhaps he didn't act like how the ghouls low intelligence perceive ally ghouls should behave like. And triggered their aggro mode.

I've never watched The Walking Dead, but my theory, based on how you've described the character of Father Gabe in that programme is that maybe because Father Gabe didnt allow church followers to take refuge in the church with him the feral ghouls attacking him is a reference to that. Like the feral ghouls are the zombies getting revenge on the guy who didn’t save them from becoming zombies? Also, I've always assumed that Gabe attacking the player is a bug that Bethesda never got around to fixing. That's just my theories on it though. Also, the Rocket Shack has been one of my favourite spots in Fallout 4 for a while now, despite it being such a small unmarked location. I just find it ot be so nice, peaceful and fun!

I always love finding their little staged setups of weird situations like the one in concord where the guy got fired and he stuck his boss in the bath and electrocuted him or something like that represented by manuiqins 😂 or the teddy ears playing poker lmao

The opening line of Cheers theme most definitely fits the Fallout world. Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.

Alternative theory is the the cat cabin vendor loves the cats that live with him, however when they do die of old age, illness or other wasteland issues… the settler merely takes a practical approach to disposing of their bodies. Once they die of natural causes or whatever, he strips the edible meat from the body then buries the bones and the rest in the little graves. But of the others, I didn’t know about was the shanty merchant south of coastal cottage. I don’t tend to disturb Swan or the Carhenge Behemoth. They’ve lived in one spot for decades and don’t hurt anyone unless they get too close so I tend to let them be. I had fun with the oxygen tank shack though. Did you find the ArcJet Mars rocket engine on the back of a trailer?

Note how he noclipped into the hidden diner. It's so hard to get to, he couldn't be bothered to actually get there ingame to demonstrate...heh.

Leonard consistently has plentiful amounts of a number of types of ammunition. I consistently find him to have over 200 rounds of 5.56mm ammo. It pays to kill the nearby Mirelurk Queen early in order to keep him alive. It’s always nice to have another trader to unload your gathered weapons on!

There is a place called Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo Tx very similar to #2

I remember finding the Diamond city diner on my first playthrough and being so disappointed, I was sure a place so hard to get would have some crazy loot. And also the rocket shack, came upon it once then never again, always wondered if it was from a mod, but now I'm certain it's not, thank you!

I still want someone to do an in depth review of the trailer on top of the hill outside of the Medford Med! It is a unique place with many question marks and no answers! It's the only perfect trailer in the game. It had a steak dinner with wine on the table. Outside is a white picket fence ,garden,, but had a protectron and gun turret! Who, why???? Inquiring minds want to know.

The bar is superb, with serious nostalgias, and I laughed so hard at the rocket shack!

Wow, I never knew about the hidden diner. The game really is remarkable of all the things in it. 500 hours in and I still find things not infrequently. And how stoopid was I to miss the Cheers connection for that bar. I feel both amazed and moronic.

I feel like the hidden dinner could work with the “settle anywhere” mod and a jet pack enabled power armor suit. Like an end game spot nobody could ever reach but your character.

I remember when i first saw the cat trader i thought they were a raider so I sniped them, I felt bad when I realised they were a trader but when I found cat flesh i stopped feeling so bad

At the cat cabin, I think those graves are more of a human size. Perhaps the vendor decided he wanted to live there and the previous occupants didn't want to move? In another video concerning the hidden diner, one commenter said it was based on a diner at the stadium this one was based on, so its inclusion in Fallout 4 is accurate. As far as they went with making Diamond City look like the real stadium. Getting up there is much easier in power armour with a jet pack installed. I visit the rocket shack in every playthrough. It's a lot of fun.

Father Gabe is easily pacified with high Charisma at gunpoint with full points in the Intimidation perk.

See I always assumed that the man at the cat shack only sold the came meat because the cats had passed away on their own and he needed meat for himself, the fact that he took the effort to bury the rest of them and even put up tombstones is enough to tell me that he isn't raising them as food. Livestock farmers don't go through that effort.

I came across the crazy cat farmer early on in my very first play through. I didn’t buy the cat meat at the time because, being new, I didn’t have the caps.

Couple huffs of Jet makes for extremely easy access to the Hidden Diner.

This playthrough, near walden, I spotted a random encounter with 2 wastlanders trying to kill their former friend because he is a synth. I convinced them to let him go. He then ran straight over to car henge, where we got snacked by the behemoth.

Theory about rocket shack. It's a shoutout to the NV sidequest where you help the ghouls reach outer space. . .or not. Rocket shack is the 'or not' option.

There is a weird spot close to paladin’s bunker that has settlers buried upside down to their waste and cars in the tree tops.

Cats would thrive in the waste, and probably mutate to be a serious challenger. They would fare much better than dogs at the least. They are stealth little ninja hunters that can hide high and low, and dont need large amounts of food, and can usually survive off the water in the meat they scavenge.

No idea that cat farmer existed. Guess I got a new way to test out that mini nuke.

Maybe the tanks were a warning system to let others know the place was under attack. They may have better way of setting off the tanks. Also it may just be the game physics that are making them so wild. It could have been meant to be easier to use for the in world people.

How about the garden gnome shrine on top of the Vim Factory? It is very creepy and a completely hidden gem. Someone's homage to the humble garden gnome… or a gathering of the leadership council of the garden gnomes plotting their global domination.

I wonder if the Feral ghouls in the cathedral are Father Gabe's followers and the story mirrors TWD more than is suggested? Maybe they turned feral and he didn't and they're getting revenge on him with the limited intelligence they have

Prost Bar IS marked, as are other items that you've said are unmarked. Just look at any map from the GOTY Survival Guide.

Not really an unmarked location; I forget where it's at; by a river or sea of some kind but but if you have a powerful scope one can get a good look at it. It's a cabin in a no-go zone for the player character. It feels so close that you seemingly can reach it but you can't. It's a well built cabin, not broken down and obviously someone lives there. I once stayed 12 in-game hours near there once and I thought I saw an npc but Radstags came upon me, and I had to deal with that; and nothing after that. Another place by Corvega in Lexington on a broken bridge that I'm sure those on PC can get to, is a truck with a cooking station but I've never seen anyone up there, and I've tried with Psycho Jet to get over there but I always miss the edge. There's also an unmarked area one can get to by Coastal Cottage (NW) past the edge of the no-go zone; a small cave of a Deathclaw; I would recommend not killing the Deathclaw, and to do that you'll need high stealth. I've been to every unmarked location (I believe), I like finding the places I can't reach and using a scope to see their stories.

Honestly a cat farmer wouldn't be that crazy in a wasteland or a dog farmer/butcher ik we see dog trainers in fallout but yeah in that kind of environment im sure people would resort to whatever to survive. If people would go canibal im sure they'd eat companion animals

Is this kind of stuff is the reason I liked fallout and I was so disappointed in starfield the first planet that I had the chance of landing on immediately went to the first structure I saw just to find out none of it matters in this game unless you are in a special designated couple of areas.

The hidden dinner is a real location, there is a cafe in that exact spot atop Fenway Park is ' State Street Pavilion ' which has its own staircase to it from the street.

This kind of storytelling is fine, but by the time you get here, the story has already happened. There's nothing for you to do. There's no way for you to affect the outcome.
