Video idea - go over your basic setup/layout for Affinity Designer, what you use as a standard layout of tools, windows, etc, things like that. I just purchased it and i know there are help/tutorials out there but i think a video where you highlight your own approach that's geared directly toward designing for shirts would be very helpful.
Thanks for the idea! Yeah.. like..Now that you have Affinity Designer...here's what you need to know... The tools you will need to use... I like it!! Thanks
Thank you for this great video. I've referred to it often as I try to get out of the rut of using the same layouts all the time. It has always been in the back of my mind to do more with the "wrap around arc" layout, but somehow it never seems to occur to me to use it. So this week I'm diving in head first and STARTING with that layout, creating a few original templates, and I'm using them to create new designs in various niches and phrases. Thanks as always!
Thanks, dude. Your videos have actual helpful advice. You give us actionable steps that we can use. Not like a lot of other channels that just tell us, "look at this stuff, now make stuff like this other stuff that I showed you." You give actual useful steps to create better designs.
Juna the only guy that goes in dept with these tutorials... I respect you alot i referred so many of my friends to your channel.. I would like this video to be a weekly video
@@DetourShirts Juna i have a question... How do i bring my new designs to the front page on redbubble, when i send traffic to my redbubble shop my old designs (which are not really good) show up and this has been affecting my sales
I don't know the answer to that one... I have the same issue... I believe RedBubble is ranking them by sales and then views... so of course the older ones have a lot more views.
Thanks! After watching this, I used "Repeating words" to make a cool design. I made the text in colors fading from white to black and overlapping. Looks great!
Fantastic 2nd part to Layout Designs, between your first favourite fonts video to the first layout tutorial my whole imagining of creation is changing, and now with these new 5 layouts you have given me the creative knowledge to do Soooo many more designs. I am always taking notes/photos on the phone when inspired, I also carry a small notebook to make sketches or jot down ideas. During this video alone I have noted/sketched almost a dozen ideas & at least half of them are scalable. Big thank you Juna | Much Love, Peace & Respect | Stay Safe
I would definitely like to see a vid regarding your process on affinity designer. Could you include on how to add textures to a design for that weathered/worn look?
I love the "this & this & that" design, have always referred to it as "helvetica list" or ampersand lists. I remember this was pretty popular a few years back with lists of series characters. And thanks for the new layouts, I will try and incorporate them into my designs
Thats what we are looking for, if you search for tshirt design tuts you won't find much so i think this is going to be the niche here to upload tuts for, I'm a graphic designer and thinking to start making channel for teaching designs for pods very soon ^^ Best luck bruh and keep up the hot vids 🔥🔥
Juna, another video out of the park and packed with extremely valuable and useful information. I loved, "...so you've seen these tshirts out in the wild".. hilarious! Thank you so much, this type of information is exactly what I need! 💖👍
Could you please do a video on how you actually use Affinity Designer? You mentioned drawing some of the graphics, so how do you draw them? With a tablet, the mouse, or what have you. Basically if you could either describe or show on screen how you do what you do to make a t-shirt would be really helpful. I've considered buying Affinity Design but I'm scared to because of lack of knowledge and also design skills.
When I design something that needs a more detailed graphic I usually just draw it on a paper and then scan that paper. Once that image is in Affinity Designer I trace over it and adjust. It takes a little while. I have some older videos on the process.
Thank you so much for all your videos they are really helpfull! :) I have a question. How do you get the brawls font to look like in the video? Cause when i downloaded it, it came with a lot of arches on the words, and i can't seem to turn them of in affinity designer.
@@DetourShirts Ah yes now it looks better :) but everything else regarding the text you change in the typography settings right? And again thank you for all the good teaching! You have some of the best videos out there, for learning to make better designs, i really appreciate it👍:)
Should I cancel Placeit and get affinity is what I’m wondering? I’m finding it very difficult to find good designs there, just takes forever to go through those designs, time that I could use designing my own on affinity once I learn it. Anyone else in the same predicament? And I find it to be little less flexible than I would like it.
What ever app works best for you.... they are both very different.... Affinity give you the freedom to do basically anything you want but it doesn't come with designs, you will have to make them or buy them. Placeit does have graphics for you to move around and they have amazing mockups.
Holigan, Irish? If I didn't like your channel do much I'd be offended bring Irish and all 🤣🤣. Keep up the good work. Holigan would be more related to English football holigans.
Your attitude towards Irish people seems a teeny bit racist. You might have chosen; music, poetry, peace keeping, Nobel Prize for Literature. It's such a pity because up until now you seem to be trying to be genuinely helpful
Are you talking about this video or the trend I found.... I do not have a bad attitude against any culture.... I'm just showing what is trending... I am not coming up with trends... I'm sorry if it was offensive
