@@BobBob-eb4io Hopefully maybe they took him as a prisoner just like those doids from Bad Batch, we can only cross our fingers so they haven't killed him and somehow managed to escape ...
Nobody's talking about that b2 massacre, he even tried to warn his comrades to get out of the way, they probably didn't hear him over so much gun fire, and then Yoda slowly lowered him into a full on firing squad
The poor b1 battle droids. Even the ones that actually did a good job, like that one in legends that killed many clones for a chip that would’ve had his comrade b1’s replaced, only for him to destroy it so they could still be in the fights. Then he was just destroyed after he destroyed the chip
Many people said this before, and I shall repeat it, we need a redemption ark of sorts for the droids, like a surviving fraction of CIS droids out on the far outer rim lead by a lone tactical droid in a troubling position to keep their fellow droids alive and optimistic for the future of droids. perhaps.
@@lordwarlockthangwrath8662 well I tried to be a bit more original than using the 2nd or 11th Primarch which almost everyone else uses. Made Zach the 26th Primarch from a batch of back-up Primarchs the Big-E made in case any of the ones from the main batch became unusable before "birth" from the tube.
@@26th_Primarch neat. My friend who introduced me to 40k prompted me to come up with mine for an RP. Names Ethan Starick, primarch of 21th legion, AKA The Enlightened Legion.
Droids deserves better because they could be treated or acted sometimes as human more likely assistant to humans that they could help you on somethings as they are in a good side with you
The droids always had it rough, they deserve a world that only droids are allowed....which would be an interesting idea for an upcoming star wars series lmao
Actually, the bad batch shows a knee level of battle droid sentiance with that one shot where they surrender. Also, I think that second one is stretching it a little bit. MAYBE anakin could've done something, but I dont think you would do that for a biological combatant if you were presented with the same scenario
Actually think about it the Jedi heard their screams, but they didn’t answer. They were blind and def those droids had pure emotions. They were just followingorders like good soldiers.
Truly demonstrates that the only real difference between the jedi and the sith is that the sith admits what they are. Both sides had slave armies fighting for their own selfishness
I like to think that the republic captured the powered down droids and made them the droids that served under r2-d2, and they’d have a reason to fight the separatists given general grievous’ treatment of droids
Why would I want to like 100 or so droids to a distant uninhabitable planet to organic life and let them go free and prosper as the droids they were meant to be
I always figured they just got downloaded into new bodies again and again, at least one or two Legends canon things say that. Nevertheless, nobody really gives them consideration.
Really??? This is a complaint??? What Bout addressing the Droid on Droid violence. How is it Annie's fault a Droid forgot he cant fly? An is the levitated droid NOT capable of stopping itself from shooting its weapons? Or did Yoda also sense where his "triggers" were an aimed and fired him too like a force machine gun? An the last one.. Even if im GAR... Its been MORE brillant to USE a whole army of Droids against its former employer. They did it anyways with R2 an his squad. Jist think of what he coulda done with WAY more then a handful. All they had to do was reprogram an then reactivate them all. Come to think of it. THIS woulda been a perfect strategy for turning the tide on the Separatists. Just pickup, reprogram an send back out all the defeated enemy Droids they could get they hands on when destroying was unpractical. Even programing them as Trojans to actually turn on their brethren with specific codes or timers, etc. Make Sep leaders question ALL an ANY Droid survivors afraid theyll suddenly attack or attempt to assassinate them or maybe even suicide bomb them perhaps later. The practical applications are endless. The CIS woulda NEVER expected it. Im surprised someone like tech genius an expert Anakin which whom we all know is as good with Droids as he is flying an fighting an leading Clones or someone with a similar background never thought of it on a mass scale. Would it have been so hard to train batches of Clones equipped solely for disabling an reprogramming enemy Droid forces to use AGAINST Separatist worlds an troops.. They could even make it seem then that CIS was singling out an attacking its own at will i. Specialized frame jobs to so distrust, etc... But here i am starting to ramble an make a whole alternative BUT probably VERY interesting an not so 1 sided timeline then the Canon we know
Exploring the Old Republic, much worse has been done to Droids. Some were torn apart for the entertainment of Drug Lords, Republic and Sith Troopers alike. Druids are always given the bad end of things.
B1s are shown to be capable of being extremely effective, three became very capable soliders by just being on the field with clones, they sacrificed themselves to save the mission, and the only one mourning them was R2...
@@aguy7848 Yea the b1's are just as smart and lovable as anyother droid and yet the creators make them seem as the "bad guys" but really they are more of the good guys and every "Good faction" in star wars the more you think of them and how they treat the "bad side" they look more and more like the villains it is just messed up that the b1's are treated like big walking machins that have no feelings even though they are able to feel pain and emotions and are sometimes smart and yet the republic treat them like this it is just like japan during ww2 were they never took prisoners and even if they did they were treated with no respect at all and the comparison that I made to me feels accurate idk what you would think it is just how to me it looks and sounds like.
@@Maltatata how so? Both sides, as well as the war were created by sidious to give rise to a situation where no one would be able to resist him. The clone Wars is the perfect example of a war without a good side.
@@Azaghal1988 Yes both sides were used to propel Palpatine, but the separatist believed in their cause, kinda like the Revolutionary War. Colonist revolted against Great Britain. The Republic was like Britain, trying to hold onto the separatist. The separatist would’ve been the good guys if they were led by the right people, the only reason that they’re bad is because they were led by Sith Lords. Although the Jedi had their own flaws as well. Neither side was truly good, but the Separatist were a bit better.
@@michaelandreipalon359 technically, clones are expendable too and are treated only a little better than droids There is no difference, one is flesh, one is mechanical parts, but on the inside, all are treated and programmed the same You have a bias because you watched the Clone wars Would you still watch the clone wars if it was about battle droids? Also, don't give dumb answers like "bUT ThE JEdi TreATED thE clONES WeLl" No, thet doesn't count, so do fucking research AND then come to me and explain why clones and better, with actual reasoning instead of biased opinions
Honestly it's a bit scary imagining the existence of most droids in the SW universe. Created in a galaxy-wide civilization filled with other sentient lifeforms, forced to die from a confusing existence while greeting a guest like you are programmed to. They didn't even know they had already been in battle before. For a Jedi you think Anakin would have noticed those droids were harmless. F to pay respect
I think he was pretty pissed at that point. Got to remember that he was on a time limit. Fail and his padawan and wife would die. So that might play a factor.
@@CoolMyron fair, but as a powerful force user and experienced fighter, I feel he might have noticed the droids were no threat after the first few stood still, not like 12 lol
The first episode of Bad Batch in the beginning reel also showed that battledroids are capable of surrendering which makes all their deaths in the rest of the war even worse.
At 1:34 just imagine this scene except replace the Droids with Tusken Men, Women, and Children. Pretty much shows Anakins Mindset when he rushes in. It makes me think that in some small way he enjoyed killing people unarmed or not. An this is coming from a guy who is friends with two droids and understands them deeply. But don't show that to these droids who are forced cause of them being programed that way from their creators.
B1s were always some of my characters since phantom menace And the clone wars definitely humanized thedroids. Not as much as the clones obviously. But still.
RIP all those droids that where destroyed across the course of the war and beyond. They deserved better,. Can we get a Rodger Rodger in the chat for those battle droids that sacrificed themselves in vain
Yes. They were fully sentient, and felt emotions, pain, and everything else. For some reason people laugh and cheer when a droid gets decapitated or falls off a cliff, but when it’s a clone that dies a quick and painful death, people cry and mourn for the clone. Oh well.
Small problem with that: because they have an undying conscience, they have to experience getting scraped, sliced, blasted, torn apart and put back together over & over again making their lives psychology painful & endlessly insufferable. That can also be a problem with immortality.
A backup isn't the same as the original. That's like saying you have a twin sibling asleep in the basement. "Oh, Bob just died. Nevermind, go wake his brother. They had the same upbringing so they're basically the same person."
*"Hello There my friends! I hope this week has treated you good! I'm always delighted to see progress in your daily activities, soon you will reach the "High Ground" as well, take care! The Force will be with you always!"*
It makes you wonder why droids, especially scout and long range models, weren't fitted with small unfolding solar panels (or scifi equivalent) so they would never have to face running out of power and instead could enter a low power state while waiting to fill up their batteries. Kind of like the real life scout robots we send to other planets.
Probably the same reason clones and their equipment are phased out in the early stages of the empire, and why as a result the storm troopers and their equipment are less effective; the cost of production would be too high. If you're producing millions or billions of something even a minute reduction in cost of production per unit will save you tons of money. Corporations in the real world will pay people ridiculous amounts of money to reduce production costs per unit by only a few cents USD for high volume products.
Are we to forget about the pair of B1s from when they escorted Poggle the Lesser to the temple but the sandstorm killed them? Or what about when the B1s on Onderon at the market square were killed by the the civilians just cause they were there under orders to keep order and peace on a world they had no choice to be deployed to? I feel like there are many more examples of this cruelty and tragic fate that fell upon the B1s like on Agamar the B1 squad lead by the OOM Command Droid B1-268 where they went to greet and ask the Imp Stormtroopers of their intentions there before being blasted by them and crushed by the AT-AT walker that was being deployed for no clear tactical REASON!
Damn, seeing this video actually made me feel pity & sympathy for all those neglected CIS Battle Droids who fought in the Clone Wars. Really goes to show that the Republic Clone Troopers weren't the only tools being used to fight in the Clone Wars!
This is war lol. Had the CIS used Organic Soldiers i am 100% sure the Jedi and Clones would have slaughtered them just as quickly. Obviously with more calls for surrender.
Have you ever considered doing a video about the other force-sensitive groups in other races and planets in canon and eu? This could be the nightsisters, the kel-dor have the Baran Do Sages, stuff like that. Force users more affiliated with their race or planet rather than the jedi or sith.
