I’d add the LV Epi leather. I own a Twist MM and that leather seems very durable. Also, in case people don’t know, the inspiration behind the épi leather is the movement of the corn field during a summer day, and the actual style and texture of the épi leather are inspired by grain fields. For French speakers especially, this will make sense :) hope this helps anyone interested in that leather

I have Coach bags that I purchased in the 70s which are still perfect. I’ve been incredibly disappointed with many of my Chanel purchases. They have not held up. The Coach doesn’t need to be babied. Great leather, well made.

Great picks. I love pebble leather. My most concern of the durability are scratches and cracking of the material. I’m so afraid of lamskin or smooth leather. I will scratch the bag so badly. Love canvas but afraid of cracking. In addition, there are the corner wear and tear and lose structure but of course some of factors we can’t avoid such as normal wear and tears. I so enjoyed this video...besides the information you share of each piece... the close up view Viv is TRULY EVERYTHING to me. This may sound strange but many of these bags I've never seen in person and probably never will. This Chanel 19 is STUNNING seeing the leather so close even the YSL Calfskin. I agreed Viv, the Chanel 19 is my favorite bag of my all bags because of the goatskin leather, usability and it goes with any, I mean any, outfit! Also, LV canvas has proven that it’s worth every Penny. I threw it across the pavement (probably traveled at least two feet) to run after my kids who were heading into heavy traffic and it barely has a scratch!

Can I firstly say how beautiful you look, Viv! 😍 This video couldn't have come at a better time for me: I've been looking at buying a Coach bag in the colour Chalk, but not sure if it would be durable, or if there would be any worry over colour transfer, so this helps immensely, thank you. 😘 I find my LV Odeon bag great; it has the coated canvas body and the strap and corners of the bag are all in the treated black leather. Also my Pochette Metis in black Monogram Empreinte leather is holding up really well! Do you have a luxury shoe collection? Or maybe a video dedicated to all of your gorgeous perfumes - I know you do a pick a perfume of the day, but it would be gorgeous if you could show them all together and discuss the notes that they are made up of. Love Chanel 19 but it’s too expensive so ysl Lou Lou puffer bag is a another good option. It has pillowy buttery soft leather and quite durable as well. I accidentally spilled coffee on it once, rinse it & just wiped it off. Had a couple of scratches but it can be buffed away. So thumbs up for ysl 👍🏻

I bought Lv bandou damier last year. I have no issues about the canvas and the leather. But the hardware is such a problem. When I only wear it for few weeks, it was oxidized pretty quickly. Try to ask this in a forum, apparently it's happening to the bags that produced after 2019, especially lv bandou. Sad! 🥺🥺

All great choices! I would have to add Chanel aged distressed leather. My reissue and my limited Paris benzance bag are made of that and are so durable! The leather feels thick amd doesn’t show scratches. I am thinking about a Chanel 19 in the black goatskin. I have a large grey in lamb. I dont have any caviar because I prefer lamb. Couldn’t agree more on the ysl leathers and the coach tilly. Mine is pink. Also tho I would add LV epi leather. Always enjoy watching you viv

I have that same Ysl camera bag but in the bigger size and soft calfskin leather in a pink nude color, im a mom of 3 i don't baby my bags(i toss it on the bottom of my car) its just as great as the day i bought it. I want to buy another bag and was thinking of getting a Fendi baguette, i was considering the chanel classic flap(lambskin) or lady dior dlite in blue canvas but i I don't want to not be able to use it. i have ysl mini lou in white and ysl small loulou black, my next purchase is gonna be lv palmsprings mini in reversed monogram. Your video made me even more sure of my desition to buy it 😄👌 i also have speedyb 25 monogram and it's sad i can't use it as much i want due to rain in Finland. One lower price brand i love and have a bag and clothes from is ralph lauren, their bags are so good quality.

I would totally rock the black top you have on. Question: I was under the impression that Chanel 19s only came in lambskin b/c that's the one I saw at the local Neiman Marcus in the US. Thank you so much for responding!The tweed is lovely but leather just makes my heart sing ❤️ I'm a scent girl myself and nothing better than a great leather to sniff (as odd as that sounds lol) Between the lambskin and the goatskin, you would say goatskin is more durable and carefree but still soft and smooth like lambskin? I have a few designer brand bags but have never made the Chanel jump! I always thought my first would be a classic flap in GH but when I saw the 19 at the store, I instantly loved it!

Love your videos. Just wondering if you use anything to treat your bags? I just got the soft antigona and did use a leather spray for some protection. It doesn’t seem to have left any marks but just hoping I’ve done the right thing 😊

I have used leather conditioner, but only once or twice hon, doesn’t need to be over done and Cadillac spray on my vachetta xx

hey which one would you recommend chanel medium classic black lambskin vs beige clair in caviar? i have no luxury handbag let alone chanel. I want to add black but heard so many bad things about lambskin. I feel i want to add beige mini or woc. Black caviar is so expensive on preloved. Hi Ritika, my choice would be the black medium Lambskin, but it def depends on you’re personal preference, the beige Clair in caviar is gonna be more durable but I just prefer Lambskin 🥰
