i am lvl 30 but i never played the DLC even though i payed for it, lol so when i did turn it on i was level "0" i got up to lvl 14 to qualify mud tires and max out the following trucks tayaga voron cat 745 int 1700 ford f750 and completed imandra with just these trucks went out with f750 and went straight exploring for v10 engine upgrade found it, recovered to lake kovd, drove back out towing the int 1700 with a radar trailer' also the bed weighs the ford down for scouting i run the utility attachment and a small roof rack only. ( makes it an awesome rock crawler) int 1700 can not scout hardly on imandra, map is to brutal, but chained to the f750 with radar trailer it can be used to radar the map. used the tayaga to turn on power plant and fix power poles to open the garage. do this first right after f750 v10 upgrade. used the 745 cat to pull loaded trucks everywhere as the map is so brutal. used chained tires on tayga so when i hit the ice waterfall i could use the tayga to pull the cat across it. tayga also will pull the large trailer with the plane. ( btw helpful hint : you have to carry plane pieces out 1 at a time !!) don't pile all 3 pieces on trailer it will not secure! and ONLY the big flatbed at the airport will activate the recovery ( the one at the trailer store it doesn't recognise i learned the hard way) and crane the armored cars and planes ( i had 2 tayga's) voron was used for radar with a low saddle fifth wheel. for empty trailers ect. I didn't use any azovs as they fall over easy, or not powerful enough, or run out of fuel to quick and can't maneuver for piss. map is huge and roughest yet flipping and recovery will make you want to scream. i Don't recommend ANY azov. also there are fuel trailers hidden everywhere . as soon as i hit the lvl, i put gas tank on 745 cat and still used it A LOT ! BTW warthog is a disappointment it falls over way to easy. ( i was excited for the damn thing, what a disappointment) so there you have it from another prospective. imandra can be conquered starting at lvl 14. but it is a hard hard map. btw mud tires wont always save you, the ice on some of the roads is so bad even the mighty taga or cat can't traverse the roads. they just spin. trucks of lesser abilities are a waste of time on this map.

Voron AE can also be useful for new metal detector module.

On all other maps, Tayga with small crane and semitrailer is one of the best cobos. The semitrailer used with care is the best anti-tip device when the trailer is at angle with the truck. For this the twinsteer is very tippy since the whole body is always in line while the semitrailer at angle will make it over crazy banked turns. The downside is having to make a trip back with the semitraile to not litter the map. I've restarted a new game and used mostly the GMC (now awd), the AE, the twinsteer, the azov 5319 and flatbed tayga for missions to get less use of trailers littering or having a trip back. In lake covd and imandra the trailer is a major downside since the map is very big and having to get that trailer back is a pain.. and for some trucks the fuel is just enough for one trip to do a mission then recover it.. Speaking off, would like a hardcore version like in mudrunner - no recover for big trucks, only for scouts, or since you have a carage to spawn a new truck, no recovery at all! No trailer store (just use the trailer available on map, and make it hardcore to have one of each in some places. This will get very crane and rescue and refuel active on the maps. With recover option is like a cheat. I want the old mudrunner feel to use what you have on hand. Maybe even delete the option to spawn any truck at garage. (and to transition to a new region make a story about going to the port to load the truck to travel from michigan to alaska, then have the truck to go to airport in the valley to go to tamyr, then go from a heli-zone or something to go to lake kovd. This will make it the very hardcore game with careful planning. If you tip the truck.. bad luck assemble a rescue operation, manage the fuel, have some dedicated trucks for fuel transport.. just like in mudrunner.

If you have it, the khan marshal is very nice. It does not break the ice. Lack of trailer and only mud tires make it less useful for some icy narow steep climbs but in genaral for deep snow and rocks is a good scout (and again it hardly breaks the ice so it's a beast of a scout at lake kovd). The big Caterpillar makes the best scout/rescue vehicle. Even if it's huge, those giant tires go to mud, and ice, and can free itself even from fully broken ice, can be a real rock crawler (the articulated pivoting body ensures nice grip), and does not get suspended on rocks as it can free itself with the help of the steering that actually moves the whole nose making it very efective to unstuck it from rocks and other obstacles. Also the fuel addon is a must since it gives a lot of ful and secont the fuel trailer covers the rear wheels and makes a smooth side making better at not getting stuck on trees or large rock walls. - good for scounting too since it can climb almost anything if it has space (some of the narrow rock pasages are a problem for it but usually it goes over it fine) Sure the downside is lack of chain tires and lack of trailers. The big Antarctic truck is a bit the same to caterpilar but more tippy and can carry loads, making it a very useful transporter in imandra. Unfortunatly the tatarin is no longer a useful option because of the rocks (gets suspended on the rigid body a lot) for scout and prototype trailer i use YAR For big crane job and trailer i go for the 10x10 azov (the one with long overhang in front) - with care gets the job done and the tweacked model makes it less of a problem for the front bumper. (or use two dedicated azov 5319, one with crane, one with bed and maintenance trailer for fuel. but the other combo is the CAT dragging the 10x10 azov with big crane and 4slot trailer. The cat provides the fuel from addon.) For small crane and a 2slot bed i go for azov 64131 - slow but gets the job done. Tayga is still usable but hauling crane and semitrailers will litter the map with semitrailers after each job. can't have small crane and bed at same time. (the AE has this option but will lack the trailer ability that means no free fuel at trailer stores). For this reason sometimes i go for the twinsteer now in AWD and chained tires, this goes nicely but can be tippy if route has sharp bends and can get middle suspended on rocks. The AE is useful for metal detector but quite low fuel and very thirsty. Same for the other azov 5319

Hmm... Ford might b quiet a good idea for scouting but am still gonna use my Tuz Tatarin anyway. Never let me down =)

Lake Kovd is ok for the F750 but Imandra will easily render it useless from the get-go. Paths in Imandra are no joke - any tire smaller than 47inchs & engines weaker than an A power-to-weight rating will mean spending the night out in the wild or a reset back to the garage. I agree with the AE4380 & will add that the Grad is essential. Imandra requires good fuel economy & good stability. Not many trucks have these 2 traits. I will also add that there are a handful of heavy hauls in the Kola Peninsula through thick snow, large boulders, deep water mud & shoving through irritating trees. So having heavy haulers are also essential. And the only 2 suitable for Imandra are the 73210 & the DAN. The 71inch vehicles are also useful for the worst routes with snow so deep that even the 64131 cannot traverse. The cat745c no longer holds its head high as invincible as I've learnt tipping it over a ditch on a seemingly harmless road. So, since the risk of tipping over a 71inch is always there, we might as well go with the 4220. Imandra is no laughing matter. I wish Saber Interactive won't repeat trolling SR fans again with such a map. Only the best trucks can survive here & it's no longer which one is king of the best but rather, I found myself deploying my entire fleet for the contracts.

Another good scout for Imandra is the DON 71 Its good because its so light that it wont break through the ice, and it can be used as a deployable mini scout because its light enough that most trucks can be pick it up with the loading crane easily and it will fit in the back of most trucks that can have a flat bed or sideboard bed with a loading crane installed, and its also a fun little truck
