Am I the only one that actually hates playing whats popular? I hate going into a raid or trying to find a group and I'm 1 of 12. Every Xpac I look up population numbers and will roll a low represented class. I started this Xpac off running BrM monk for that reason.

Play the role you love even if it's not meta and if eventually it becomes a meta then that's a bonus. But if you intentionally dislike a class that you liked before because it just became popular then that's a different thing. I have a friend who also dislikes and hate something that's becoming popular and intentionally jumps to something unpopular just to say he's different from the others

@raynathanielcaparas8064 i do the same. But it isn't so I can be different. It's because I'm not trying to compete with 50% of the player base. Thats why I won't play Ret Pally or Frost Dk. It's way too popular right now.

Yeah I play demon hunter bc it’s just so fuckin cool, but now that there’s so many I might switch my class for the xpac.. I just started last night so not losing much progress

I wish we could've seen a more cosmetic focus with hero talents. WoW is lacking in class/fantasy themed gear sets. One season, we'll get a cool tier set for a class, and then next, it's horrible! Demon Hunters have cool tatoos that are covered by shirts. Weapon illusions look odd on warglaives and can't be applied to hunters' arrows/bullets. I'd love to see the return of Order Halls with a cosmetic renown system that's not tied to player power. Give us better-looking gear and class weapons that match and proper illusions. It would be so cool to see mythic cosmetic gear sets that change how your class feels and looks to play by altering spells and abilities without adding unnecessary player power. Something like a Necromancer set for locks that change your demons to be undead, a Druid of the Flame set that gives you all matching forms. Give me backhand glaives for Demon Hunters like how Valeera's daggers look. Imagine the Warglaives of Azzinoth without the front blade 😍😍 we seriously need better cosmetics in this game.

There is no way to ever not have a meta in WoW or any other online game with various distinct classes or heroes. There is no such thing as perfect balance, it's not a blizzard thing its a fundamental fact of game design

Blizz will always have a financial motivation to constantly shift which classes are op. Imbalanced classes drive revenue from faction changes, 70 boosts, and buying gold, and longer play time as people who can't afford p2w will grind out new classes the old fashioned way.(Edit: not advocating for or saying I agree with this practice, just that I'm not gonna wait on it to go away )

@@parabellum8506 that's not a blizzard thing. Any long running online game will continue to buff and nerf based on the meta to keep the game from stagnating and becoming repetitive and unfun
