This is great, Justin. Reminds me of a John Meadows video. Detailed breakdown, clear explanation, showing what to do and what not to do. The touch of humor is great! Keep it up!

I like this style of video more. I love to see real training and you do give valuable insight and tips in each of your videos, however this is more concise and clear. Your a methodical lifter who brought a perfect physique to nationals and you have alot to offer. Thus purely instructional videos are very appreciated.

It’s really refreshing to finally see a good ifbb pro who knows how to train properly (with a few exceptions like John Jewett). It always lowkey triggers me if I see people with good potential who just don’t know how to train and halt rep all of their exercises.

Great tip about contractions moving the weight. Almost everyone thinks about moving the weight then contracting.

The second one is just a variation of preacher curl. You lay down on a bench with ur arms hanging off. That's a spider curl. Im a d1ck sometimes. Keep killing it bro!

I train exactly like you Just, love hearing u back it up in the podcast. Wish everyone held the contraction to each exercise. ( watching how regan & others train makes me cringe.) they don’t control or hold anything lol. Much respect fam, this is the future of real training. dY style

Justin, This is an excellent training video. It is very clear and to the point without a bunch of unneeded BS in between. You are killing the videos and the IG content. You need to get your partner Skinny Steve on some of these. He looks like he would be a lot of fun to lift with. Anyway I never comment on videos but figured this warranted one.

Good stuff man I like the fact you stated that you could be hurting your tendons and elbows going to heavy and not even working the bicep ! Feels like I been using heavyweights for tri and sometimes biceps and now I have pain in my elbows so time to lighten the weight and contract more thanks man 💪🏽💯💯

Would love to hear more of your thoughts on how to decide which exercises to place where in the session (as in, maybe placing exercises that train the short position first, or when you might not do that, if it really matters much at all, etc), and overall program design / structure (for example, how to know when volume is about right for an individual, when to push the gas and when to hit the brakes, etc).

I agree 100% with these movements. Swinging around heavy dumbbell or barbell curls like most guys do won't build big arms especially if they're a weak point.

I really like this video. Obviously the majority of your followers are not pro's who is focusing on their specific weak points. And even if they are their focus would be different than yours. The fact is striated hams are not a key focus for myself at the moment. So it is rad to get your perspective and tips on how to do more general split movements that can apply to the majority. Also there were a few times during the video where I would have a question by a point you brought up and then that question would be answered in your explanation. That said, I appreciate the thoroughness.

for the spider curls, I always thought it was better to position the hand on the dumbbell how you said not to. Part of the biceps function is wrist supination, so your able to work that as well. I do a couple sets that way, then the way you presented after its fatigued and limiting reps

Hi Justin loving your content man, can I ask you a question? You don’t have to answer, but I will say I love how you don’t let adversity hold you back. Q- do you actively try to use the same parts of your left forearm as you can with your right as to not create in-balance or does it not activate different parts of the muscle?

wait a minute... Is the second exercise really a spider curl? To my knowledge a spider curl is when your elbows/arms are hanging and not touching the bench.
