A nice addition to ur earlier one about keyboard shortcuts etc. Perhaps u guys have already done this but how about a video about computer hardware I.e specifications of laptops that will work well with serato. Ram information and how to keep serto running smooth and quick etc. I particularly struggle with a slow laptop and sluggish performance, I have watch various videos on this, but would love to see ur take on these issue. Hi i just buyied a ddj 400 but it haven't the beat slicer function. I know, that I can make it with the midi settings but in my rekordbox It doesn't work😕 Can you make a video about the slicer on ddj 400? I love your videos and hope you read this commend.

I tried to do the Column Neaders part, but it doesn't work like that on my new Apple Mac Air. When I right click along that bar, it adjusts whatever I'm close to eg Key, BPM etc. There is no option to get rid off it all together. Can anyone help? Thanks

Is there anyway to change the comment (make different comments) for the same song that's in seperate crates?? For instance if I have a wedding dance floor crate with Uptown Funk in it, I'll have a comment with information regarding how to mix it in. But then I also have a wedding crate specific for my current wedding and they want Uptown Funk played for the bridal party entrance. So for that crate under Uptown Funk I'd like to make a comment that says "bridal party entrance", but when I do that it automatically changes the comment in the dance crate to "bridal party entrance" instead of leaving it how it was. I understand it's the same song, but it'd be so nice to be able to change the comment based on what crate it's in.
Ok hundreds of RU-vid videos but how do you hook up external Hardrive and make it searchable like virtual dj ? I’ve tried dozens of videos and yet to find out how to add a external Hardrive and search out a song on the Hardrive, thoughts?
Why whenever I close serato pro then go back in the numbering always upside-down. I have be clicking the arrow beside # to arrange back the numbers in order.

might seem basic, but i came here looking for why serato pro refuses to save any crate, playlist, loop or otherwise that i create after i close and reopen. i've scoured settings, but there's nothing that seems to help with this. Tips please?
I need help anyone,serato won't read my Windows Media player playlists, they are just blank, so I had to just add all my music files but serato has broken them down into artists only so I added all of them and now I have three thousand songs with no organization, do I really have to go through all the songs and start adding them individually to specific crates or is there a way I can go into my PC or windows media player and make playlists that WILL show up in serato and I can just add the playlist from serato to the crates,,

Is there a way to change the date in the date added column. I lost all my tracks and had to download them again and add them to Serato so now I have thousands of tracks that all appear added on the same date so tracks that are three years old are mixed in with tracks that were added a month ago. Appreciate the help.
Thank you for this useful tip but, i came here for different issue that is after editing ID3, be it like editing genre "Bass House" from "Dance". Its saves the edit for a while but, next time I play the same track its genre is set to its default as Dance. It happens everytime, Frustating!!! even recreating database, rescan ID3, analyse or reboot doesn,t help anyway. (tracks are not locked, can be edited. Using Serato Dj for windows) Is there any other way in serato or any other software to look upon because I have 1000s of tracks with wrong Genre to be corrected. ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!!! so im new and just got my ddjsp3, loaded serato pro, and wiped my mac to use just for music. no other program is on it. when i point to my music from my hard drive, NONE of the tracks have a bpm number unless i load them to play them. am i doing something wrong?
Hello Crossfader, here's a question that I can't figure out. How do you delete lost files in Serato SMART CRATES? Every time I've tried command and delete the music file and this is the message that I get - ASSOCIATED TRACK'S' CANNOT BE DELETED FROM CRATE. Please help!
@Crossfader, I've just figured it out hahaha. All you have to do is go to *ALL AUDIO then select all the lost files then Command and delete. This will also delete all the lost files in SMART CRATES!
I noticed having Traktor Pro 3 and Serato DJ pro on the same laptop brings issues. Every time I analyse with Serato first and then do the same with Traktor I lose beatgrids from Serato! When I analyse with Serato after Traktor my Serato beatgrids remain and don’t disappear. I don’t know if this is a common experience but it always seems to happen and on Mac OS . So now I will always analyse with Traktor first and then Serato.
