For anyone this may help. I’ve had the 11inch now for a couple weeks and the combo touch folio is PERFECT! I didn’t want the large screen because i still mostly use this as a tablet. I have larger hands and apples 11 inch magic key board really shrinks some keys like tab and delete. I could hardly type on it. The combo touch doesn’t have nearly as small of keys and is almost a full size keyboard and I have had no issues typing on it at all. Also i have used the function keys way more than I would have imagined. Especially the unlock and locks keys. As for the ipad, its excellent. I’ve not run into any trouble with the M1 chip. Was super excited that I was able to transfer old photos and documents from my college laptop that had just been chilling on an external hard drive. Im also upgrading from an air 2 so that might be half of the reason why i love it so much.
I’d pick the Logitech over the Apple Magic Keyboard even if they were the same price. I like being able to separate the keyboard and still have a case. Plus, the kickstand is AWESOME.
I love the concept of the logitech combo touch BUT…. In less than two weeks of use i noticed a crack on the hinge. So i went back to the store, which is one of the biggest electronics chain store in my country. They said that im am not the only one who experienced such. they even had units that had the same crack out of the box!! In my opinion the crack seemed to be the type that will grow bigger over time. So… even if i liked the upper row function keys and the additional protection, i chose to fork out additional money and buy the magic keyboard. I aksed if they had problems with the magic keyboard, they said they have never had any complains or returns. The apple magic keyboard takes up less space and the typing experience is better… but i did miss the function keys… and the ability to take off the keyboard and snap it the other way and use the ipad as a tablet
After 2 months of using the magic keyboard, I am really loving it. It doesnt take much space on the table unlike the combo touch and very much advantageous in cramped spaces, a crowded table, on the bed, etc. As a touch typist, I am enjoying the feel of the keyboard. I am not missing the shorcut buttons on the logitech combo anymore and I have adapted very well. I do like the overall slimness of the keyboard over the bulkiness of the combo. The ability to charge via the keyboard while being able to use the ipad’s port for a dongle or for a big monitor is a huge advantage. Protection wise, when i go outdoors, the tablet+magic keyboard fits in a pelican designed for tablets
Yo I got this case on a whim when I first bought my iPad cause it was CHEAPER than the magic keyboard which I’m surprised he didn’t mention. I freaking love this thing and it’s worth the purchase!
Adding a Keyboard to my iPad changed the game. Haven't even touched my MacBook or iMac in over a week, since I bought the Magic Keyboard. You are right about the lack of function keys on the Magic Keyboard.
Heyooo, I would really love to see a m1 iMac, MacBook, and iPad Pro setup when the new OS drops with universal control. Once I get enough money that’s the setup I want. Ideally it should work as three separate monitors while 2 of them being portable. I dare you to do it!
Personally. I think the Magic keyboard case is fine enough. Having a whole separate keyboard & mouse is a bit overkill. Now only think I would give credit to that dock station is being about to rotate. That’s dope. Also I wish developers would do is accept keyboard inputs to play games. Now that would be a nice addition.
Yes yes and yes. Aside from the price the magic keyboard case is phenomenal. And yes developers should definitely use it more, i play a couple games like lol wildrift and brawl stars etc and it would have been great to use the keyboard
@@wploehn your not wrong. I wouldn’t buy it. Especially not for the price they asking for. I think the skinny base stand is what makes it look dumb. The look of a IPad Pro with its Magic Keyboard is still unmatched.
@@warfare112593 i agree with u plus he is removing the key board from the logitech so its still the same as the magic keyboard. and i think the magic keyboard looks sick on the ipad. what do u think am i right?
@@shakoobi I definitely agree. I think the main reason it looks dope is because of the “floating” style of it. Literally no other case company (or atleast what I’ve seen other than this one) is doing it. I do think it is a bit overpriced tho but I would still recommend it. Ever since I bought one. I haven’t taken my iPad Pro off of it.
I can’t imagine an artist using the dock or the logi case stand the way he demonstrated, since you can’t lean your hand against the screen reliably while doing that. No one draws with only the pencil touching the screen.
Personally don't understand why anyone would buy a docking station for 400$ for an Ipad. If you want to be a hardcore user with keyboard, trackpad/mouse, mounting station, external monitors etc. Buy a freaking macbook :D
I have the combo pouch and only have ONE problem with it. It's heavy as mofo. I switched over to the Smart Keyboard for a little while because of the weight while at work and man did I miss the Combo.
just got my ipad pro 12.9 inch and magic keyboard and absolutely love it, and you bring the best accessories and love the new logitech keyboard as well!!!
Love that Logitech keyboard way more than the apple keyboard. Cost is much better too. I originally bought the apple keyboard but wasn't a fan so I returned it and got the Logitech.
Alright, late to the game…just saw this video. Thanks for sharing the information on iPad gadgets. I’m always at a loss for what to pick up and this was helpful. Btw, what AirPods Pro case cover do you use. Mine is just a cheap silicone one and the case top always flops off my AirPods 😡. Recommendation appreciated!
Thanks for your video, especially introducing a perfect alternative to magic keyboard. As a learners, I have to frequently switch between drawing/hand writing mode (with pencil) and keyboard... It's very inconvenience to do that with Magic Keyboard. Normally I have to take ipad out completely. Although it's an amazing product. But seems I prefer to have Logitech Combo Touch because of its flexibility. Thanks agains.
for me the main point why I use the apple magic keyboard and would recommend it to others is the usability on the couch, in bed, etc. I'm a student working 24/7 everywhere and these cases with the stand in the back require more than just a pillow on the lap, my old iPad (magic keyboard not working with it) made me a little aggressive when I had to readjust it everytime I move my big toe
As someone who’s tried the Logitech keyboard i can say that it’s definitely the more versatile case compared to the magic keyboard, however there’s a couple of things you also need to take into account. The first is that you need more desk space for the Logitech keyboard when using it for typing, and the second is that using the Logitech keyboard in bed is a nightmare. In both scenarios the magic keyboard offers a better expectation but only in those two scenarios. The Logitech keyboard is clearly the better option to buy if you can work with these drawbacks.
hello! why is it awful when using in bed? Is it not stable enough, or? I already have a pc and want to use my ipad when i'm typically not at my desk so I am curious about your drawback! thanks!
@@tee1209 Well the issue with Logitech case is that it’s primarily designed for use on a flat surface. Using is on your lap is far from ideal as it takes more room than Apple’s own Magic Keyboard. Also if you want to relax in bed and not hold the device then you’ll need to find a way of angling it towards yourself. In this scenario you would like end up relying on pillows or some other item so that you can get a comfortable viewing angle. With the Magic keyboard it’s a bit more top heavy so it isn’t ideal for Lap use either but it’s somewhat manageable and in the bed scenario the Magic Keyboard can actually tilt the device towards you which helps get a comfortable viewing angle in bed.
He started off the chanel doing average reviews, then grew dramatically. He can’t change his name so most of his viewers have grown alongside him. Understand the issue though.
If he was an average consumer, he wouldn’t have anything to review, because, you know, an average consumer wont buy every tech product they see. He’s called Uravgconsumer because he explains things easily to the average consumer.
i just got my first ipad after 40 years on a PC , you have one great you tube channel.. i am stunned how much every thing cost for apple , but they all seem to be first class . oh yea , after 3 weeks , i no longer have my ipad . baby took it . so i guess i am getting another ipad . i subscribed . i can see why you get so many views really first class you tube video in every way .
I have watched so many Combo Touch videos and I Gotta say the two things I wish there was is a caps lock indicator light and I wish there was a escape button instead of a home button.
I have watched many people review the Logitech keyboard, but the way you did it actually made it hit home. But it was literally bc of the Home button 😂. That is a gamechanger bc I keep wanting to press Escape on my Magic Keyboard lol.
What i miss on the Logitech Keyboard, is that additional USB-C Port for Charging The Kengiston Dock looks more like what i‘m looking for but the Price doe :/
I have the Magic Keyboard in the white and I love it. I have a computer so I don’t need it as a desktop set up. I use it in the kitchen, laying in bed and a whole lot other things and I love the premium feel of it. It’s costly but worth the price for me.
My wife just got a ipad pronto start her business here on long island. This video helped to see what products work good with it once Its done being paid for
Logitech combo touch is Cheaper and offers more protection than the whack magic keyboard case it looks sleek, but people who have new iPads and wish to keep them that way. Only if the magic keyboard actually offerered more protection
Man you totally rocked that whole video! Thank you so much for the info. Haha you would make a great salesman 😎 but yea, very professionally done and super informative. Thanks again I need all the heads up I can get. New sub and bell rang my good Sir! That dock is sick
Love the function keys on the Logitech case/keyboard but it’s funny that society is now at the point that we can’t reach just a few inches forward to do the touch screen gestures lol. Either way great product would love to get it when it goes on discount for my 2018 iPad Pro
I have the Apple Magic Keyboard, and touchpad , now after watching this presentation I am looking to get the Kensington dock. The logitech touch is nice but I don’t carry my Apple iPad Pro 12.9 to many places. Thanks Enjoyed the presentation And information. Very useful
The home button key is cool and all, but on my bluetooth keyboard without that key that I have I set up a keyboard short to go to home so I press Command + Q Just like the macbooks, but the standard keyboard shortcut for home on ipad for some reason is FN + H.
Yes it is a great cover but I had it for 4 months the space bar and the arrows didn’t work anymore. I felt very sad because it has the keys of volume and lowering down brightness. So I had to buy the magic keyboard
I like this keyboard because of the versatility if you reverse the keyboard you can attach it so you don’t lose it it just added weight versus totally removing it
Looks a bit like the pro version of the Incase AirPods Case with Woolenex that I have for my AirPods. Should be able to get through the Apple store under cases and protection and AirPods.
You’ve convinced me to go with the Logitech keyboard..I’ll be driving to boca chica Texas from Los Angeles to watch the Starship go orbital & i’ll be picking up the new I Pad-&- Logitech key board..Thanks..
I like the Logitech keyboard and also the stand. But: I would hate to take the iPad out of its case every time I use it with the stand. So ist it possible to use the stand with the iPad IN the case?
