although I have freshwater and reef tanks, Id really like to get into making terrariums too because I love plants so much and Id love to keep isopods they are my favorite. btw do you have any idea how good your voice is? you could also do asmr
Where can you suggest online i can buy some starter terrainium plants as im just about to get started but my local plant store doesnt have any suitable plants and there are so many places to look online and i dont know where to start
I feel like you are reading my mind! A few weeks ago I was looking into getting springtails and you upload a video on it. Today I was looking at adding some new plants to my collection for terrarium cuttings and you upload this!
That superglue on the glass can be taken off pretty easily with a NEW straight razor. Just carefully scrape it off. If it's a new razor it shouldn't scratch the glass. Use the middle of the blade not the corners. I'm assuming the plants won't tolerate acetone, which is the real trick for removing it.
Hi Ben, thanks for sharing so much and being so inspiring. A quick question: is ficus pumila white sunny and ficus thunbergii toxic to isopods? I'm planning to put some in my isopods' terrarium enclosure, but having some doubts about its safety. Any info would be much appreciated! :)
I've done really well with saxifraga stolonifera because it will give a lot of little sons under good care and pepperomia prostrata because it climbs beautifully and cuttings do really well (even single leafs sometimes!)
I finally just got oak leaf fig for the first time. I LOVE it! I've already added it to a couple of small terrariums, as well as setting up a propagation bin for it and a couple of others.
The rainbow moss i have does great when using colored terrariums, and tends to go pink and fluffy in that environment. That's the only unicata I've been able to keep alive, though. NEVER outside of a closed environment and only using non-soil substrate.
I put some pieces of my codonanthe in a terrarium because I couldn't keep it alive. I was shocked at how well it did. Also, Peperomia prostrata does amazingly
Hi, this was a very inforlative video! Teach us more about how to do cuttings and wuch plants are suitable for it. Is a simple Hedera helix possible to propagate with cuttings?
Love and subscribe to your channel. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge, but here in the US, I’m trying to find something like your molar clay or lava rock. Is turface, calcined clay or expanded shale any good? I have a bag of the shale already and looking at calcined clay at my local lumber yard, but concerned about the ph in them.
Love your videos, they are getting me a great start in terrariums. I can't find anything online about the "All things fungi" friend you mentioned. Do you have a link?
iv wanted to ask what do you do if you get soil mites? as iv been having some trouble with them i they eat all my springtails no matter how meany i have. is there away to get ride of them. with out having to completly destroy my vivariums?
I noticed in you last videos of isopods and springtails that you do not put anymore the net after the rock false bottom. Why? Is it better with isopods to not put it?
Can you please make a video on exactly how you did the bioluminescent mushrooms?? I have been wanting to do this for so long but can’t find much info on it
