@Don Gato....Actually. NO...think about it, every generation gets better at least technically, not with feel. That's a gift and can't be learned. I guess it depends on how you define better. In my humble opinion Carmine Appice had equally as good fills as Bonham and chops as good if not better, considering Bonham learned from Carmine. Not sure if your a drummer, but did you actually read my comment? Emotional bias is really strong in Bonham's favour. In the 70's Phil Collins was at least as good if not better than Bonham. Different style, but Phil is a genius and Bonham was very very talented. Big difference. "out of you're DAMN mind" sounds like a working class counter point. It has no meaning. In a debate I would have already won. Don't want to win just want to hear a argument worth listening to. LOL

Great tutorial, love the John Henry, from a certain age all aspiring drummers were/are Bonham devotees. And the good times bad times "that's got to be a double pedal" groove challenges us to this day.I still can't pull it off, but I'll just keep trying anyway. His version of the Purdie Shuffle is one of my favorite beats, hearing it isolated is a great way for a drummer to cop that feel. BTW, you've got his thing down, all of it, and it's fun that you make it simple, quick, just rewind for the slow breakdowns, then you speed up to show us the bigger picture. Short, sweet, and too the point, great playing and thanks.

Went to a Billy Idol show many years ago and I was blown away by his drummers groove and feel. It was easy to tell he came from the school of Bohnam. He absolutely brought every song to another level and I loved it!!! Low and behold it was Mr.Tichy. Had never heard of him before that night but was instantly a fan. Went home and searched out everything he'd done and even attended the Bonzo Bash 2012. The dude is a Jedi Master!!! Thanks Brian for keeping the word and religion of Bonzo alive and well... May the force be with you!!!

I was pondering this morning listening to "Good Times Bad Times", if you can play Bonham, you can play anything.

"Rock and Roll" intro 3:41 (count 4:02) On my iPad the timestamps in the description are not active links. I would have copied the whole list but, alas, I also can't copy/paste from the description. What a great tribute to Bohnam that he is studied and copied so well. Good on you Brian.

Awesome work! Respectfully, I'd like to add one thing though (because I teach also and it's a valid point). On GTBT, Bonham is keeping the hihat going (1/8ths) during pretty much the entire groove and through the broken triplets. This obviously would be a "next level" thing to add to what Mr. Tichy has done here. I have several students working in this and getting very close to mastering it! That said, awesome work sir!!
