For me Baazar Meat stands out the most of your list,. In downtown you would be surprised if you ever tried Hugo's Cellar, prefer it over Vic and Anthony's at the Golden Nugget.
Thank you for doing all the leg work for us! And for taking the trouble to create and edit these great videos! There's a lot of work involved and we don't take it for granted :)
All of these are great! I would add Oscar's downtown and Jean Georges at Aria. Not sure I could remove one from your list, they each have their own special side dish or ambiance that make them a must visit.
Figured Prime kinda covers JG since both are Jean Georges. Unfortunately we had a negative experience at Oscars the one time we went a couple of years ago, bad service, bad table And overcooked steak 😢 Might have been something with COVID at the time but would need to have a better experience. So hard to narrow it down honestly Vegas is a steak city now for sure
Great, great breakdown for each steakhouse! We still have yet to try Golden Steer, among a couple others you guys shared, but have some ideas for future trips! We love pretty much all of José Andrés restaurants so Bazaar Meat is also on the top of our list! As always, we appreciate you guys sharing your experiences to help us, and others, plan their Vegas trips!
I just started watching you all by chance while verging on ICON videos. THEN, I found your Vegas foodie videos & I've been hooked as we are planning an upcoming trip there. All that being said, I'm wondering if you two have ever had a bad meal or experience?. I've googled every eatery you've vlogged and their bad reviews are INCREDIBLE & PLENTIFUL. I want to believe your reviews, but I'm struggling with the negative ones concerning horrible service, old/disgusting food & dirty restaurants. Now, I do try to take complaints with a grain of salt, but I'M SO nervous, especially given the almost extortionist pricing.
Thanks a lot and welcome. We certainly have had bad meals in Las Vegas. We don’t try to be outright hateful like a random reviewer on google or yelp. It’s much easier to be a keyboard warrior and much harder to put your face in a video and talk total trash. We also do our own research and try to go to the best spots we can since our meals are limited to only so many each trip. Some that we have not enjoyed or felt they were overrated and have videos for include: Casa Playa at Wynn Gallaghers at NYNY Sugarcane at Venetian Marrakech off strip Raku off strip Peter Luger Steakhouse at Caesar’s Ellis Island Village Pub Nellies Southern Kitchen at MGM Grand Urth Caffe at Wynn Craftsteak at MGM That’s just scrolling through the old videos. Like I said we don’t come out and just dog a place but the more people see our videos they can tell when we are disappointed in something.
From these 5 I’ve only been to Golden Steer and it’s by far my favorite in Vegas so far. I am going to Bavettes on my next trip so let’s see if that can live up to its Rave reviews.
Iv only been to Golden Steer & was massively disappointed. Nice to experience, cool place but all in all the steak was massively overpriced & overhyped, nowhere near what I expected. Want to try Barry’s or Oscar’s next, want to try a rib cap.
Cut is certainly up there for food but our service was not to the same level and we tried to pick places that offer something more than just great food. For $300+ per couple the food is expected to be great
I love your choices and have tried 3 out of them so far am looking forward to my next trip to hit Toca Madeira and was wondering what you would think of doing Joel’s Chophouse review or what you’ve heard? Thanks Lori!
Have fun! We loved Toca Madera, a little warning it is pretty loud in there and gets louder the later it goes, but can be fun if you know it going in. Joel''s Chophouse...Where is that?
Ruth’s Chris is good but we tried to avoid national chains by sticking to places you can’t have in every other major city. We have not had Tender yet but hope to at some point when staying at that end of the strip. I will say both of those are probably a more budget friendly than these in a good way
Howdy peeps ! Hope you had a great time on Icon . I think your list is great . As you said there are so many dang steakhouses to choose from in Vegas . I love Prime and SW. Barry’s is on my to do list . 😎😎😎
We don’t have one specifically that does that but do have individual videos for Barry’s, Andiamos, and Vic & Anthony’s - all were quite good. Lots of people swear by Oscars but we have eaten there once off camera and had a poor experience
Great question Casey. We have not done a ton of steakhouses at Caesar’s properties but intend to change it this year some. The best ones people have talked to us about is Peter Luger at CP and Gordon Ramsey Steak at Paris. We found Peter Luger to be just too basic for our liking. We like aggressive seasoning and more modern side dishes and apps than what they had. We do have reservations for GR Steak in 2 weeks. Lots of people we trust have told us that is one of the best so it has been on our list for too long to not try it out finally. We also have a reservation for Bugsy and Meyers at Flamingo in April, heard good things but not to the same level as those other two. That and Jack Binions at Horseshoe seem to be on the tier two level for Caesar’s from what we have heard
@@JoshRachael thanks for the info! Enjoyed your Perer Luger review and agree so will pass on that one for now. I’m leaning in your recommendation of Barry’s! Always fun to go downtown! Great videos and hope to see y’all in two weeks!
We really liked Barry’s. We have heard some mixed reviews but it was the best experience we have had downtown and wanted a downtown spot on the list. The chef is a local as well so it felt good to not just target big names. Also warning we had been drinking with Steve and Shawna from Vegas Our Way before and after this meal so we had a good buzz going. Hope to see ya next week!
Great video and I do mean great ! My - what was that appetizer you had at SW's ? Onion rings or ??? I hope they were because I am an onionaholic LOL ! Also we must try Barry's for those totally private booths to enjoy our steaks in. Cheers to you both and thanks again !!!
Our appetizer was actually flaming bone marrow at SW but I think what you are referencing were Funnel Cakes that were hung in a tree 😂 The booths at Barry’s definitely gave an amazing feel to the room!
@@JoshRachael Well yum city - I'll take that desert dipped in those lovely looking sweet sauces ! For bone-marrow lovers, that SW experience has to be the best !
Ambiance and service from our experience put Barry’s over Andiamos. That can definitely change by each persons experience but we did not enjoy our table at Andiamos as much as the booth we got at Barry’s. The little things matter in making a best of
Not for us. We like places that have more aggressive seasoning and more modern sides and apps. Peter Lugers is extremely classic but we prefer Golden Steer if going for classic style
If you’re willing to drop hundreds of dollars for a steak dinner, go. However, you can save hundreds of dollars by going to Sam’s Club and buying that 40 ounce tomahawk or a package of filet mignon’s and grill the steaks yourself and I guarantee the flavor will be just as good.
@@URKlewless You missed the point entirely. The point is it’s not worth it going to a high end steakhouse in Vegas or anywhere for that matter. People who pay $250 for a Tomahawk steak are just plain dumb. If people would quit going, watch how fast the price would tumble and maybe then it would be reasonable to go.
@@ThePoacher-j3b I could also live in a van down by the river but I enjoy living in a house even though prices keep rising. The good thing is that we are all able to choose what we want to splurge on and this is one of those things for us. And trust me we do exactly what you are saying we should do as well. Here is a video of me making some Sam’s Club Tomahawks in the backyard a couple months ago EASY How to Reverse Sear Tomahawk Steaks on a Pellet Grill ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4SpYN-YNoYU.html
@@JoshRachael I did see that brunch video and all the food and drinks looked awesome the lobster eggs Benedict looked awesome actually it all did definitely on my next las Vegas brunch bucket list. By the way when you have a mimosa ask them to add a small amount of Grand Manier on the top and slice of orange up or on ice it’s delicious with a Wolfgang salmon and caviar pizza trust me I had it in Beverly Hills Spagos now I make it for an appetizer or Sunday brunch!
Let’s clear something up! Golden Steer IS NOT the oldest steakhouse nor is it the oldest continuously operated steak house in the city! That would be Bob Taylors which opened and has been in operations since 1955!
@@JoshRachael Your “list” is irrelevant to the fact that you clearly said that Golden Steer is the oldest, and it absolutely is NOT! I live in Las Vegas and have been to almost every steak house in the city! BTW, the BEST steak house in this city is Echo and Rig!
@@JoshRachael the Sunday Brunch is has been a popular destination. Booked out till May!! The Steakhouse is pretty darn good. Wish they added some premium items like A5 waygu and a few other items. Still not a bad place. Boulder Station Broiler Room used to be a low key place in the station properties as they used the same meats as T Bones and Hanks. They say otherwise, but inside sources says they do. Unfortunately, Broiler Room when down in quality and made some changes since Durango.
Hi Guys! I don't remember ever seeing y'all at Michael's Restaurant in SouthPoint. If you've been there I apologize. When I was younger, I traveled Alot! In ALL my travels, Michael's is the Finest Restaurant I have ever been in. I Highly recommend this Fine Restaurant. $$$$$ Very Pricy and Limited seating. The Dover Sole is the Best I've ever had and You'll love the Steaks and Deserts. Give it a Try, You won't be disappointed.
We have seen videos and heard mixed reviews but it looks sweet and a total retro experience. We struggle to get too far away from the Strip or Downtown but this one is absolutely on our list to try.
