SHO jobs particularly in surgical fields like orthopaedics are the worst- continuous bleeps during calls, not allowing to concentrate on the work.if it is a large hospital-you had it-you have to run from one ward to another in every corner of the hospital,making on calls a nightmare.And the worst part it -you learn nothing in your surgical field after all the hard work as an SHO.

Hello! First of all i like your videos thank you so much for making them . I am an 1st year mbbs student and i am looking forward to work and study in uk after my internship. So is there any chance that after 4 to 5 years the rules and selection process will be changed for IMG's or more IMGs migrating to uk or something like that?

Quality of training and lifestyle is variable depending on specialty. I don't have any idea about US training. I don't think any IMG have realistic chance to become an ophthalmologist in the UK or US so choice does not matter.

@SumanPaulDoc

Research is not mandatory for good jobs. However if someone applies for the same job with some publications, then they will be given preferances.Unless you are looking for surgery career then research is not really needed.

You can get ENT jobs after MRCS. However AVM is a medical specialty in the UK (post MRCP) and available in very few centres.
