@@AH23794 It's more subtle than a lot of saturation plugins and that's pretty much what real transformers deliver. Even driven hard, it doesn't destroy the audio. It'll mellow highs and all transformers cut sub lows a bit but each transformer model is a little different. It's not expensive. I'd grab it!
I think it would be a great video to limit the number of plugins Dave can use to max 10. All EQ, reverb, delay, effect, saturator, etc. has to fit in those 10. I would be super curious about the choices.
Thanks for sharing Gullfoss. I am trying the demo and I'm pretty impressed by what it is doing to my tracks. Really nice. Just CPU hungry, but it is worth the hit for what all it does.
intheblink I find it best to strategically place it on my master bus and wow the results were incredible, and it’s only one load on the cpu (along with other mastering plugins)

I use Gulfoss on certain occasion, primarily on an initial mix buss. Soothe is something I use to clean up harsh vocals but I've been using the Isovox to record my vocals which makes the initial recording clean so I haven't been using Soothe as much. Kazrog makes things thick. El Rey makes things thicker
I am onto the third plugin and to be honest I'm struggling to hear the differences between the plugins on, and bypassed. This isn't usually the case with the se types of vids. Are my ears just not trained enough?
the echoson is modeled after the benson echorec an old delay effect mostly for electric guitar. there's also a tape delay called a echoplex that sounds wonderful.
at some of these examples i really couldn't tell the difference between on or off. one of the examples where i could tell the difference was soothe though. i think it's because i have soothe myself so my ears are trained what to listen for when someone uses soothe. maybe i'd understand what changed with the other plugins enabled too, if i knew them.

I'm not sure what Soothe does that a well-aimed EQ doesn't. Still, anything that gets rid of unnecessary harshness is good; it was so nice when Rhianna stopped sounding like a high-passed chainsaw!
Sometimes there is harshness only in the chorus during loud notes on a vocal. Soothe can deal with that when it happens. An EQ can dull out the other parts of the vocal that are not harsh.
that's one of the reasons I really like and appreciate this man, I mean if he wanted the money he'd probably earn some decent cash considering how many software he promoted and praised and the best and most fascinating part is he does it for FREE. For the sake of developers who really need the marketing and the word about their plugins spread and to simply help them with nothing in return. Not to mention that Pensado, one of the most known and respected mixers in the world, shares his knowledge at absolutely no cost, whereas many other producers/engineers who are younger and less experienced and trained sell their courses and books (not judging them by any means, just noting). Dave is the rare type of people you can undoubtedly call a human being.
he probably is getting paid for the product places. his website has a link to a $220 analog-style eq plugin that does basically the same thing as the free ones.
same here :( the only thing I found is that Joey Massari goes by the name Ocean Beats, he has a massive youtube following so I'm not sure if he would reply if I'd ask for the song
I really believe most people were unable to hear almost any difference with most of the plugins what's the cause, I don't know, but it also would've helped to use 'bypass' first then the 'eq' rather than backwards I discovered Gullfoss earlier today and it's pretty amazing
