Thanks for the reviews! A question on the curtain motor - is it at all possible to set it up in such a way that will open the curtains to a central position rather than on both sides of the track?
Hey Martijn, love the vids, thank you. Do you perhaps want to make a series of vids for starters? Like, which items to get first and the cheapest and to build on and progress from them there?
Great video! I was wondering if you need to buy a complete new curtain rail for this or if theres a possibility to fit the motor on my rails that I already have 😁
I didn’t know about the laptop cooling feet and cable magnet thing. I have the jump starter. Really good 👍🏻 I have used it 3 times to jump start and the battery still shows full charge
Really wish Martin could test out the Xiaomi Jumpstarter on a car or like he said, to charge your mobile phone. More infor can be given ie. some jumpstarter has a limit to the amount of times one can jumpstart and can be recharged - no mention on these.....
Hi Martijn, Great stuff! Keep up the good work. I knew about the Aqara Curtain motor, but can you explain a bit more on that one? Maybe an installation video on how it works? I would love to use them in the Netherlands with normal curtain tracks, is that possible and how does that work? Veel dank uit Nederland! :-)
There's a slight problem in the video, regarding the pads for the laptops in your video ;) More and more laptops these days, and in this case especially Macbooks are dissipating heat through a vent going from hinge to hinge
Of all the smart product brought out by companies, Xiaomi has the most extensive range and at an affordable price. My intire home is smart and Xiaomi is the main player. Can be a bit tricky if you live outside of China (Australia here) in regards to severs and connection but other than that it works well. Next item list for me is humidifier and dehumidifier.
tip concerning the xiaomi pen. I bought a pack of 10 off aliexpress in september and they all stopped writing, or wrote badly within a week of use, 0/5 would not recommend. awesome video though none the less.
Why are so many Xiaomi products not labeled as Xiaomi? It makes it really confusing to determine what is genuine or not from a country notorious for counterfeit products.
Because what Xiaomi does is a lot of partnerships. In short they just add their name to the product and take a portion of the income from it. Those products are usually a bit more better in quality then usual however you still get what you pay for it pretty much. The problem is usually some resellers adding Xiaomi branding to a product that doesn't even have it or at least I've noticed that a couple of times on AliExpress.
Ok I understand that most Xiaomi things are innovative and cheaper then the competition... But that pen is just you paying for the name. I can't find a reason for buying that pen...
