The tory chancellor just gave an extra £40.000 to the richest pensioners. This includes a lot of ex MPs .

Ex northern rock customers did not all have poor credit ratings. The repossession rate was no higher than any other bank.

I have excellent credit scores and my affordability is not an issue, if reporting please make it factual correct. We were sold by the government who to vulture funds who do not offer new products. Northern rock was a hight street bank.. we are prisoners because "we can't afford to pay less" or we were on a hight street interest only product with an option to switch to repayment and that option was removed upon the sale

We are not bad borrowers with bad credit!! It's not as simple that. The government sold us knowing this and made 2.4 BILLION while we pay dire rate about double based rate. Mine payments have gone from £340 to £650 in less than a year yet according to lending criteria I can't afford to pay less. The rich are just getting richer, leaving people like me in dire straights at risk of repossession (NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT) having to juggle finances, go without food and other necessities just because our non lending mortgage company Landmark don't offer mortgages, no but they could lower the rates and keep things fair for us. Utter disgrace what the government have done to us.

My credit rating is not good because I owe nothing but my mortgage not because I have debts or default on payments. My mistake was because I went to Bradford and bingley for a mortgage in 2004 and their broker suggested northern rock

Ukar was a really good idea they should have kept going with the customers that had been transferred there rather than selling tranches of debt off to various companies. It made decent profits. It got the arrears down of the people involved and more importantly the number of repossessions down. Instead all sold off.

I can sense a lie here because how can you still have a mortgage after 25 years?

How many times have people got to be told but just can't be bothered...READ THE SMALL PRINT.

Or… hear me out… we don’t allow predatory practices that rely on people not reading/understanding the fine print? Why intentionally build traps into your society? Seems inefficient at best and immoral at worst

Yeah that is not the clearest you absolute idiot, we are getting tricked and cheated on by loopholes as and corrupt financial state. We are lied to all the time and you need a law degree to read the small tiny tiny tiny tiny print, allot of us might have autism or adhd and trust what we are told.

It doesn't matter, they change the T&C as soon as you sign on the line. The SMALL PRINT SAYS THEY CAN, and the cunts DO. But THEY never sign, so the contract is VOID ab Initio.
