The real #1 mistake as a completely new player to osrs is worrying about efficiency like is being suggested here. Just find something you like and have fun doing it.
The early questing thing is really good, but i still wouldn't recommend doing anything other than F2P when you are a literal noob and don't even know if you like the game yet. If you are a complete starter, then just get everything base 40 in F2P (other than runecrafting and prayer) while also completing all f2p quests. You will learn the basics of the game a lot better that way, while also creating memories that you will look back on.
I just came upon your youtube channel and looked at the subscriber count and was surprised... I expected so much more tbh, you produce high quality videos that are entertaining as well as informative. Much love!
tldr: playing the game for personal enjoyment is a bad thing, skip early game (its boring and doesn't teach you any basic game mechanics), only worry about getting all the skill capes as efficiently as possible, Vanilla client is bad (for some reason using the vanilla client makes the big green clicky xp boxes disappear), Scamming is a thing.
Number 1 mistake I see players make; when they reach 1500 total level and see their favorite number 420 world they can now enter! It has happened every day for the past 8 months, a newb comes to ge, engages with the same regular troll named RangedGoddess The newb usually repeats something another newb said earlier and the echo chamber of toxicity never ends because noobs constantly get 1500 total
Imo that's the problem with osrs nowadays. It's all about being "efficient" and leveling up as fast as possible or you are doing it "wrong". Most of us agree, our best memories on this game was being a noob and being inefficient. Just play how you want and enjoy the journey.,
#5 really depends on what you are after. Ofc it's faster to get to level 30, but honestly if someone is a noob they should familiarize themselves with runescapes combat system first before jumping straight to 30. Tutorial island doesn't do it justice. Plus you get nice loot too killing cows and imps and learning how the RS economy works.
Something to add. Theres no need to buy membership right away, you can get pretty far in F2P content and then get mem. Down the road so you dont waste real money on stuff you can do for free
Most noobs do is they work so hard early to buy bond and become poor again. Bond is somthing you can buy when you at least start making 3 to 4 mill gp per hour
"give me some coins, I'll double it".. oldest and the most obvious scam ever... Was a big thing back in 2005 and it still is... Are ppl really falling in this trap..? 🤣
Yeah i agree questing/complete achivment diary early game and mid game is most important thing to do specially if you are doing zerker pure. Otherwise you are fucked late game.
