Adam, on my old hard floors for stubborn stains I used a steam mop. I would steam and let a small area sit for a few seconds and go over it and the stain would come up really easy. I’m not sure if this could be included on a vacuum mop combo but a mop robot these companies could possibly implement a heating element for a zone cleaning feature that steams on one pass so it could soak, and go on the same line and do a clean with a high speed brush on the way back. This is probably the only way on a small bot I could see these types of stains coming up. What’s your thoughts?
I thinks theirs a couple flaws in this attempt. 1. Lidars and infared sensors. Where interfering with each tripping them up. Thats why you see them circle each other allot. Two they didnt have a pre mapped floor plan. So most the time was them conflicting with each other and trying to map the space. The next test should be two max. Starting each o. Opposite sides. To allow the sensors not to conflict. I bet theyed be waaay more efficient.
I have a x1 Omni myself. The biggest issue is the mopping pads. They have an issue of not immediately soaking up the water that is dispensed on the back of the pad. I ended up ordering some cheap pads off of Amazon that soak in the water instantly and it made such a difference. I agree that an almost 1600 dollar robot should’ve improved their mopping pads but i guess for all the people out there looking for a fix that made a huge difference. But I do love this robot, in my experience it has been truly hands free besides just emptying and filling the Omni station water tanks. Which is not very often
I appreciate ur videos and all…. But ur “stains” are very tough to see because ur floors are not conducive to seeing stains. U need like a white floor or something…not ur floor.
