Thanks for this list, Jess! It’s definitely something I need to put more effort into sorting out and staying on top of. I’ve been freelance for nearly 20 years but before starting the handmade business accounting was easy because I had only a handful of big income payments and hardly any deductible expenses. Switching record systems to stay on top of several dozen expenses and customer purchases has been a big shift and I’m still struggling to figure out and develop new habits. 😅 I’ll have to check out that bookkeeping course!
Wait quarterly?!😶 I'm still trying to make and buy cheap tools and sold like 4 or 5 things in 8 or so month's. I definitely haven't made any profit yet😅 I don't know how to price, or book keep. I'm going to do the deep dive on your channel and website and see if I'm still feeling like going back to work as a drone for someone else and keeping this as a hobby 😅😂 ( God I hope the tax man doesn't gut me for money I don't have for being late🤣) I new i was jumping in the deep end but I had no idea...thank god your channel finally popped up for me! I have a lot more to learn than I thought and you're a godsend at the perfect time.
After trying out wave you need to be aware it does not work in Australia. I then tried zoho however found it was too complicated and did not do simple accounting. Your video was great but products did not live up to expectations 😢
