These are great, coach. I've got some totally green players, and they can't even visualize where this happens on the court, let alone the game situations to which you're referring. Would you be able to demonstrate this with some helpers, and then show us the drills? Thanks, and keep it up!
Can you do scoring off the dribble and catch and shoot videos I was a great scorer in changed in a bad way to a passer shooting one shot a game help me out please.
Hi coach I've found a 12-week vert training program and it says I have to work on my legs 3-4 days a week, and I plan to work on my core on rest days. How can I still work my basketball skills (conditioning, shooting, and dribbling)? Wouldn't that be overworking? I need a guide thanks
If you're going to go that hard on training -- which is possible -- then it's critical to sleep at least 8 hours and eat super clean. No junk foods. No sugar. No fast foods. You need to be conscious of EVERYTHING you put into your body. Or else you won't get the results you're capable of getting. - Joe @ TeamEGT
YES SO THAT WONT BE OVERWORKING????!!?! IM REALLY HAPPY. THANK YOU. I've cut down "bad foods" since 1 1/2 years ago (I also saved more money) and I can have that sleep since our school just ended now. :) I don't wanna overwork but I have this friend or rival that I want to be better with (top prospect in my country), I know it will take more than a year, but there's a 0.1% chance and I'm risking it all to get it!!!
Sounds like you have a plan. Going hard is part of life, just make sure you're listening to your body. And if it needs extra rest at certain points, rest. - Joe @ TeamEGT
Anything that you have really. It's just about the spots on the court. Getting to a certain spot, making your move and or getting your shot. - Joe @ TeamEGT
Hey coach, I love basketball and I’m willing to work for it. But the thing is, my school is messing up my work that I wanna put in. I go to school from 7:15 to 4:30. And the school is ranked as one of the best in the nation so they give out a like 1:30 hours of hw. Is there a way I can put in real work and get my school work done? Thanks.
Get up earlier. At the end of the day, nobody cares what your challenges are -- if you want to be great at something it takes great dedication and sacrifice. - Joe @ TeamEGT
Dude, I have almost the same schedule as you - but I wake up at 4:30 in the morning to get 2 workouts in; and believe me, Im not tryin to brag, because every day I wake up, its hard. I want to fall asleep again, of course. However, I know that the NBA is right within my reach, and I need to get it before the time runs out.
Bro I'm in the situation as you but a little worse (not trying to brag). I'm in one of the best schools in my country as Grade 8 but in order to be great you gotta SACRIFICE SOMETHING. May it be your acads, games, family time, etc. Everything entails sacrifice so if you afraid to lose something you ain't gonna get anything. I regret that I'm only starting to be serious (training everyday) when I'm 14 and I need to seriously outwork everyone. I train from 6 - 8:15 PM and I sacrifice my games and entertainment for that. You gotta sacrifice something bro.. you can't have it all.. There's a reason why nobody's perfect. Hoped that helped.
I’m a female and get made fun of for loving basketball. Do you train any girls by any chance cuz I’m new to your channel and haven’t spotted any girls. I’m still going to train hard and get off the bench!
I'll add it to the list. Not sure when we'll get it produced though. Make sure you're subscribed and have notifications turned on so you'll be notified. - Joe @ TeamEGT
