My top 5 are: YSL Capeline; Celine Parade, Atelier des Ors Pomelo Riviera, BDK Gris Charnel and Dries Van Noten‘s Soie Malaquais. Regrettably, I‘m not keen on gourmand/too sweet perfums, and BR 540 smells medicinal on me, like hospital. I usually tend to go with rather freshies, but have some wintery, heavier ones in my collection.
I do agree this is well rounded! I love all the fragrances you mentioned, except have not tried the lv one. I especially love bitter peach in winter, it hits different! Your comment about cloud being the 360 version and mfk the 4k is so funny and honestly I see that, I could even throw in sdj 68 into that mix as well (love it though). I always try to recommend Cloud as a more affordable option for BR540. A lot of people complain and say that they smell different and my response is always "I hope they do for that price difference". It is really an amazing dupe!! I will have to try the JM Mimosa & Cardamom fragrance because I have seen a few other people recommend it!
Bitter Peach had to grow on me! I originally bought the travel spray and was confused at what I was smelling (it was the patchouli). Several months later, I revisited the travel spray and fell in love with Bitter Peach! Eventually I used up the travel spray and graduated up to the 30ml. I think exposing my nose to patchouli in other perfumes influenced me to revisit Bitter Peach. There’s also a cosmetic company store near me that I need to check out as well.
Run to the cosmetic company store or at least call ahead to see what they have in stock and to get price checks! Bitter Peach had the same ending for me... Hated it at first... then loved it... then put it on hold... and then purchased it many months later :)
