even engram was a league winner last year. in his final 6 games he averaged 73 yds/game and had 50 catches on 61 targets. that is 10.1 targets and 8.3 catches a game.

I like him at his current ADP which is kinda late tbh. I think come August our opinion will be much stronger since we will know more likely what the split will be. I think Mostert rn is worth the swing but I wouldn’t be surprised if Wright cuts into his touches
Sorry you were so impressed with Caleb crying after a loss. For me, that just means he's not ready for the pros. It's a lot harder to win at this level, and his mom might be a little farther away. I'm not going to fall in love with the first quarterback off the board in this pretty offensive Laden draft, and I realize Chicago needs him to succeed, but I'm just not feeling the hype. The kid has all this physical talent but mentally he seems a little fragile. I just think since USC wasn't a winner, and every time they lost he freaked out, Chicago isn't ready to dominate the NFC Smythe right now and the kid has some growing pains. There's only going to be a handful of CJ Stroud style rookie seasons, and I'm just not feeling this kid.
I love making fun of Caleb but thinking he can’t play at the NFL level after watching him play is crazy. This is a guy that is on an offense with DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and Cole Kmet, with a solid pass catching RB in swift. March that with a top half offensive line. I don’t see how he ends up being an epic failure
Agree that historically the QB1 isn’t always that guy but man in that offense with that o-line I would be shocked if he disappointed. Especially if he runs
His name is Dre beats Ken’s barbie Mill- errrrrrrrr. Now say it with me. Kendre “Better Than Kamara” Miller. He is by far my favorite league winner and deep sleeper. Kamara proved to be extremely inefficient especially down the stretch (and that’s with a 4 game rest to start the season), he’s older, and Miller was hurt to start the year. Kamara’s efficiency was down for a 2nd straight year. Miller has all the tools to be a superstar three down back: Size, speed, shiftiness, vision, burst, and pass catching ability. Once Miller got healthy he came on very strong down the stretch and showed moments of brilliance. I predict Miller will overtake the lead back role by mid season (if not from the gate) and Kamara will be reduced to a purely 3rd down passing role. If I’m right, I’ll make a lot of money on UD as I have over 80% exposure to Kendre Miller 😜. Great stuff as always, I like your picks, especially Engram. Did you say 50k? I see 100K in your future. Stay consistent, and don’t change once you start blowing up, you will get there!
nice take. i am curious about kamara's off season training. earlier in his career he was right up there with derrick henry in the elite category of off season conditioning among nfl players. but i haven't heard anything for the past 2 or 3 years. makes me wonder if he changed it and that had to do with his efficiency drop. we saw him go from 5 yds a carry in 2020 to 4 or less for the past 3 years. he is only 28 and he platooned with mark ingram in a committee for a few years. it seems kind of early for age regression.
@@captainspock6221 I didn’t know about Kamara’s elite training, but yeah, his efficiency has been in decline. He’ll be turning 29 in July and historically RBs production starts to decline after age 28. There are of course exceptions like you mentioned Derrick Henry. His inefficiency can also be attributed to the poor Saints O-line. To be fair Miler’s avg was 3.8 albeit in a small sample size. What is noteworthy, Miller had better YAC rate and Broken Tackles rate, plus almost doubled Kamara in YPC (yards per reception). This is of course all speculation and predictions, and talented backs don’t always pan out, but man if there ever was a breakout candidate it’s Kendre Miller especially at his current ADP of 149 on UD.
