In regards to the last point I would say that if you are playing at 100% skill level, like the most complex you can think of you will uncover weaknesses in your playing. You definitely need to be pushing yourself and consciously looking for weaknesses though or your point totally makes sense. So basically what I'm saying is playing can be a part of practicing, but you do need to actually take the time to work on the weaknesses you uncover.

I couldn't agree more! Challenging yourself through harder ideas and concepts and also improvising with them is an essential part of practice to me. I did a video about improvising and how to practice it and part of it covers exactly what you said about finding challenging things and new ideas to practice. Thanks for watching the vid and taking the time to comment! Here's the video if you are interested 😁 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--cNANOV3Jes.html

I've been using a timer in my practice since I saw that recommended in one of your other videos. It's a great tool for getting me to focus on one exercise at a time. I may have 5 or 6 exercises for a particular technique. I set the timer for 1 or 2 minutes. Work on exercise one, stop, reset the timer, move on to exercise two ... It keeps me from wandering :)

Thats so good to hear mate. It's really helpful at splitting your time up and adding balance to your practice routine.

Writing out a daily plan is so important..also.keeping to the plan and not getting sidetracked..splitting practice time into smaller chunks....ex....if you have two hours per day..then try and fit it into three smaller chunks....great video😁lastly ..singles and doubles are cornerstone of drumming..so make these priority

Totally. This is a really helpful approach if you have VERY limited time (family life for example) 2x 10 minutes is easily achievable

I’ve been using your ‘3 single stroke exercises’ for the past week…cannot recommend that highly enough as part of a practise routine, that, along with exercises from the stick control book have been big game changers for me in terms of stamina and speed.
