Something worth noting after initial setup. In my experiences, setting the EPA to 50% before plugging in servos can save the servos, especially the little Chineasium mini's IF they decide to go full send in either direction. Great vijaeo👍👍
Thanks for the tips. I have a few of these radios, 1 I use, and 2 others I got on sale, as spares. I like them. And you can't beat the price of the receivers, especially compared to other manufacturers. Also, having 6 channels is nice if you want to control things like lights on or off etc. etc.
@@rclunatic I don’t drag race. I never was able to do speed runs like I wanted. Anyplace I can is too far. Plus since May I haven’t been able to be active. I’ll be back though. The remote is amazing. Tons of features. Easy to use and setup. And the range is 1900 feet in one direction. So for speed runs it’s a good buy. Less than 100$ as well. Can’t go wrong. Tomleyrc has some awesome videos showing it’s capabilities. Cheers.
I took out a buggy that I just finished building, I noticed I needed to adjust the steering end points because it was flexing the servo in it's mount at a full turn. Could not remember how to do that on my RC6GS, but I remembered this video and you covered it! thanks!
Just got my first transmitter. This answered a lot of questions about the setup even though I have a Radiolink AT9S a lot of the concepts seem to be the same across most models. Great video. I'm trying to setup a tank crawler and having a really hard time with the configuration. I think it's because my stick mode is different than how I want to use the sticks. :/ Next youtube search is for stick modes.
Awesome info & very straight forward!! Just the info I was looking for. I have been using this controller for ~2yrs & wasn't sure about the steering & throttle exp settings. I do speedruns & I needed my speed sensitivity for the steering really low. I have been using endpoint settings to reduce the travel & speed of the servo. But it's a pain cuz it's hard to turn the car around at the starting & ending points of the run. I would have to increase the steering travel endpoints to turn the car around & decrease it for the run. Because at 120+mph, you do NOT want to pull that steering hard & too far in either direction lol..... Bad things happen 😄 For the throttle, I had been using the punch control on the Castle ESCs. I will have to see how it works out for speedrun setups, cuz these cars will literally spinout out of control when taking off at just a hair tap of the throttle. Thanks again for sharing 😎 👍
Thank you so much for all that great information I just received my radio link for channel receiver controller. It’s gonna take a little time but I’ll get used to it it already performs a whole lot better than the Spektrum STX2. 😆
I use many of those settings on the eight vehicles I have bound to my Radiolink RC6GS V2. I find steering expo to be the most useful, especially on vehicles I use primarily for straight line runs. With expo set at around -30, it's easier to keep the vehicles straight and not have the vehicle veer quickly at high speed. I find setting servo endpoints is easier with this radio than on other radios I own or have owned.
thanks for this 317 RC put me onto this video as I needed the Steering EXPO help big time! Watch out for me putting your tips into action on the 8s Traxxas Rally this weekend!
So with the throttle expo setting for example, I could adjust the settings if the truck is lifting the front end too much on take off, correct? Currently my son just grabs full trigger since he hasn't mastered modulating the throttle yet. I love the jackstands you have your trucks sitting on in the background! Very cool!
I know you can ch mix for 4w steering, but is there away of of mixing a toggle switch in so you can turn it off , crab steer and normal 4w steer , Like you can with other tx,s
Hi, I would like to ask for your help if it is possible: I have this radio model but (I don't know how) the "beep" of when the radio is turned on and the "beep" of the keys is gone Can you tell me how to restore the sound ?? P. S. I also tried to reset the radio and remove the batteries, without getting anything. Thanks a lot if you can help me !!
@@ExocagedRC Thanks for putting me away, I contacted the official Facebook page and now I'm waiting for an answer because I didn't understand what happened. Thanks a lot again!
CAN YOU HELP ME OUT?… RG6&xlx2 my Kraton wants to act like it’s in rock crawl mode or something. Motor wants to copy throttle so tightly that it will not coast down hill if there’s ANY throttle input at all, it won’t want to roll faster than what the throttle input allows. It rolls perfectly free in neutral yes it does but, if I’m doing 10-20-30-40 mph, I have to let off the throttle iMMEDIATELY if I want the truck to coast freely and not “jerk” and stumble because it wants to copy the throttle command even if it’s returning back to neutral. No aux wire, no modes assigned to it neither. It’s got to be something with the transmitter.🤷♂️ help plz thanks.
@@ExocagedRC …. So what’s the fix?¿ I haven’t heard of other ppl with xl2’s talking about this problem and many ppl do speed runs with xlx2. It would be doom’s day for speed runners bcs there’s no way to avoid the motors behavior.. please tell me you know SOMETHING LOL 🤷♂️
@@ExocagedRC ….. since your so well known and respected, would you consider doing a short video on the subject or live chat to see what the rc community knows about this? Btw man thank you for entertaining the topic with me I love your Chanel Rock on💪
I’m using this radio and receiver on my limitless, which I use for drag racing, I’m having a hard time to get the steering straight! Can you please help me
Exocaged RC savox sc1258! I tried turning it down epa 90% stexp-54 stspd: turn 50% return 75% gyro on std 7% rate! Off the line for drag racing, can’t figure it out! It goes side ways instead of straight no matter what I try
