Bleeding during pregnancy is common, especially during the first trimester, and usually it's no cause for alarm. But because bleeding can sometimes be a sign of something serious, it's important to know the possible causes, and get checked out by your doctor to make sure you and your baby are healthy.
In this video I go over 5 of the most common reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy including implantation bleeding or implantation spotting, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical infections, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and subchorionic hematoma (when part of the placenta separates from the original site of implantation in the uterine lining).
