Good balanced review. I was an early adopter of these because most earbuds don't stay in for me. These do. The transparency is shaky, but the fit and sound quality outstanding.Great for working hard in noisy environments with great battery life.
Just a update. You can now change to transparent and anc mode with one earbud in. Thank yall for yall's time putting these videos together! It really makes a difference on either to buy a pair of earbuds or not. Keep up the great work!
It's not really necessary anyway. The whole reason why we wear one bud is so we can listen to music while being able to here our surroundings. There would be no point turning on the noise canceling or transparency because it would only cancel one ear
@@eric_t123 I like to be able to hear with both ears so having transparency with a single ear is nice even if it's not 1:1 hearing with my other ear. My main gripe is that they do remember your ANC setting but not particularly for individual bud use, so I can't have it automatically switch from ANC to transparency mode when I put one bud into the case like some other products
I bought these, i was looking for good sounding earbuds with touch controls (pushing the earbuds against my ear to me is really uncomfortable) did’nt care too much about the anc or waterproof aspect and i started doing “research”, I was on the fence because never heard of the brand but I must say that you guys convinced me when you were compairing these with the senheisers, you said “the liberty pro sound more fun for genres like edm and hip hop” and that convinced me. I was surprised truly, these sound great, i know that sound quality is subjective and to each their own, but these sounded better than i was expecting, one thing that at first kind of bum me out is that they are not loud, but after some use i noticed that they don’t need to be loud, the anc helps alot masking the noise and is pure music what i hear, i find the sound and loudness of the earbuds satisfying at 80% volume in an iphone, so thank you i guess and keep the good content coming.
I love my LP3s. Had them for around 3 weeks now and they keep getting better with firmware updates. I listen on transparency mode the most as I walk in town and walk my dogs, one that I am working on bike reactivity. The transparency amplifies the sound so I hear any bike and can keep my dog's focus before he reacts. Been a game changer for me as I can talk on the phone and listen to podcasts and music but can still be safe while walking and train my dog. Also love the sound and they are the most comfortable ones I have tried. I have tried many budget earbuds and the Sony xm4s. I took the xm4s back because I couldn't stand how uncomfortable they were for my small ears after 20 min. The anc is perfect for what I use them for. I use these to cut out most sound but not all as I use these for being out and about and I don't like to ever be completely oblivious to the world when I am not at home. I have my Sony over the ear xm3s for that at home when I want to cut out basically everything. Imo I think they deserve the hype but I do think comfort, sound, and what features it has is personal to an extent and not everyone has the same preferences.
Does it make a pressure in ear canal due to ANC.? Or other link of air fatigue. I guess their is no pressure releasing mesh chamber. Plz do reply sir ..!!!!
I paid 169.99 but would pay $200.00 for these. I currently have Bose, Sony, Jabra , Jaybird, Beats pro, airpod pro. For me Soundcore, I’m definitely not a spokesperson for them 😂, are the real deal. The product support is amazing. You’re buying more than buds. You get great support through their app as well.
I completely agree, I love these buds. I took the Sony WF-1000 XM4's back due to ear fatigue. I also find the Soundcore to be better than my Sennheiser CX ear buds as well.
@@Mikeyp1054 well if i may say, its all about experience. (According what happen on me) i bought some earphones, and buds. Not the high end tho. So, What im looking for ? >> Experience
Spot on! Exactly how I feel about these. When I first got them, I was like why hasn't anyone mention about putting back them into the case?! No big deal but still, comparatively inconvenient.
I love them but this case annoys me a great deal when putting them back in and having them disconnect from my phone. I still love them and will keep them. The sound and features outweigh my gripes.
Picked these up after your review and they came today and appreciated both the pros and cons you mention which gave me a clear choice in the cornicopia of earbuds that are available. thanks. as to the buds, i love them!
LOL! I was a little worried when I first saw the video title, as I just received my *L3 Pro's* yesterday! 😱😄 While it's only been a day, they turned out to be everything I'd hoped for!¹ I'm temporarily using a _Comply_ foam ear tip, but I had no problem with the original tips. I just like the _Comply's_ wax guard feature. I really couldn't afford to buy these, and had to sell my *Sony WF-1000XM4's* right away, as a result. You're right about the customization. It's not terribly straightforward. And normally I eat that stuff up. I was looking forward to the "pro" presets. But since I was blown away by the out-of-the-box sound, it's just more out of curiosity now. 😁The irony is not lost on me that you put up my *DHRME* acronym comment (thanks, btw!☺️), which also happened to include me saying how much _"I love my Sony WF-1000XM4's!"_ 😋🤦🏼♂️ I do love them. But I still had a problem with the fit. It was the number-one reason I continued to buy _all types_ of earbud tips.² Sadly, I was never quite as blown away as everybody else by the Sonys (and I'm a big Sony fan). I've had to adjust the EQ virtually every time l changed music styles. But once I did, they were the best sounding earbuds I had. Ultimately, with these *L3 Pro's* I finally found the sound signature that's perfect for me!🥰 Along with a fantastic fit…again, _for me._ And hey, at least I'll still have my Sony _WH_ XM4's.🎧 _As always, you guys are the best!_ ··•✺•·· ¹─ My one regret (possibly too harsh a word) is that I probably should have gotten the black, as the fog gray is a little flashy for me. I picked this color specifically to stand out from all my other earbuds. ² ─ And I have some very _specific_ opinions on the subject as a result. 🧐😏
I’ve tried the Bose QCs, AirPod Pros, and the non ANC UE Fits. So far, the SC L3Ps have been the most comfortable for longer wear of the ANC ones (I don’t think anything could beat the Fits with the custom shaping). They’re a bit finicky to find exactly how they need twisted into your ear but once you find what works for you they’re good for hours. My biggest complain like you all said is the weak transparency and that it always sounds like my ears are plugged, which I didn’t have with the other two heavy hitters. I’m mixed on whether to return and try the Sonys (discounted right now) or just enjoy what I have and save the money.
that issue about dropping the buds in the case is so true! i think having to turn them around is something you can get used to (as i did with the L2P) but i can't just drop them in! they don't always sit themselves on the contacts! with the L2P, as long as turn them in the right orientation, i could drop them in and they would seat themselves in position 100% of the time. with the L3P, it's more like 80% of the time...and i always have to wait a second to check that it's good.
My L3Ps replaced my L2Ps almost a month ago, and I am VERY happy with the upgrades, including richer and cleaner sound for listening to music, which is my primary reason for getting these. Because of the excellent battery life, I really never use only one bud in my ear (didn’t with the L2Ps either)-music audio is my reason for purchasing them, phone calls second-zero issues with either. I have some hearing loss between 4 and 8KHz, which makes much of my music listening a muddy experience. Not with the L3Ps-thanks to HearID, the high hats and cymbals are there now in all their glory. And because I’m entrenched in the Apple ecosystem (the AirPods and AirPod Pros, again, sound too dull in the upper frequency bands for me), with multipoint connection, these were a no-brainer! Thanks again for another excellent review!
They did just put out a firmware upgrade that enhances the ambient mode. I agree that it was a weak point but it seems much better now with the update.
I was concerned when I first caught glimpse of your video when looking for a possibly Liberty 4 Pro. I was wondering if there is something I missed. Because like you guys, I own allot of headsets. And although I am not going to go on about all of them. I will state that for the price be it full or half price, these are worth it. I have never had a set fit my ears the way these do. I can honestly say that I can wear these all day long and not be sore. I will agree, out of the box, the high pitch sounds are pretty harsh and it took some tweaking to find that sweet spot. But after finding it. Wow. I could hear the sounds of fingers going up and down the fretboard and hear background sounds that often couldn't be picked up. I often use these to cut out the noise doing the lawn or just not wanting to hear the kids yap back and forth about how good they are doing on a video game. So, I use ANC 90% of the time. Transparency mode does stink, but I haven't heard a set that really did well with it. All in all, if these broke, I WOULD buy another pair.
I'm relieved to realise the anc is turned off when I am on a call. I was nervous when first attempting to shop for some ANC earbuds, that one of my ears would sound deaf, whilst the other ear was open to listen unimpedid. Anyway, great review! Thank you!
Great video guys. The issue about functionality while using one bud is a critical quality of life thing, and the price-based bias for reviewers is pretty interesting. I think I’ll suck it up and buy the XM4s but goddamn I’m so confused
Great review. One of the few that brings up the issues with the earbuds. I had the liberty 2 pros before switching to pixel buds and due to constant disconnects, I'm ready to make the switch back
Why would you want to use anc or transparency with one ear bud? Lol... but with this new 4.58 update they certainly made the transparency mode better. Love these bad boys lol
Great video... I like that gave some points from the other perspective but then rolled it back around by saying you still thought they were awesome and worth it.
Really useful review thank you, I didn't know about any of these negative aspects. The large case and the buds not always going in correctly is enough to deter me from buying.
Thank you really appreciate your channel. These are just too big for me don't want to deal with that anymore. My daily drivers are the JBL Reflect Minis talk about EQ control these things are for real. Thanks again much appreciated. 🤔🇺🇸👍💯
1. The price... Now the price keep changing from $159 to $129. It seems to be rotated so if you waited for couple more weeks the price will drop again. At $129, this is definitely the best bang for the buck. 2. The size... I always carry these earbuds plus one more pair of different brand in my front pocket and never have any problem.
They just received an update. The transparency is much clearer but it still may need another update or two to get it perfect. I at least like that they are aware of this.
It's strange, I also found that the treble was very aggressive out of the box, and the HearID test made it even worse. After a few days however, they sound pretty amazing and the bass is sublime and real. A lot of audiophiles say that "breaking in" headphones is a myth, but apparently these do need some exercise out of the box. ✌️ &❤️
Agreed, just bought them 2 days ago. They need time for the internals to "warm up" I absolutely love these buds. Especially after buying the galaxy buds pro at $193 usd. They did not say in my ears at all. I would recommend SOUNDCORE to any and every one. Their products are amazing.
Sounds a lot like Life P3 ANC modes. I'm still amazed that the sub $50 Soundpeats T2 has better ANC and transparency than many more expensive buds. Like closing or opening a studio door it's that effective. So why is it so hard for others to get right without spending far more?
Did you guys or anyone reading this feel Liberty 3 Pro has something wrong with the tonality of the treble? It sounds metallic to me and the mids/voices also sound thin. Everything else about these is exceptionally good...
Yep Mids/Treble we're very thin/ sibilant sounding, vocals didn't sound full bodied at all, had great great sound stage, but I returned them for that reason.
The bad transparency mode swayed my decision to not pick these up while they are $20 off today. I use my transparency mode on the Sonys and it is excellent. This lets me keep them in all day. I need to talk to people and use the phone all day for work. Thanks again!
Good video, i agree not being super easy to put them back in the case, but for I $120 this are the best earbuds of all time. As an Uber driver the transparency more is just right, some others get too loud
3. The comfort... I agree with you guys. It took me a while to decide to buy these because the earbuds are bigger than my Elite 7 Pro which is the most comfortable for me. Not to the point of being unbearable like the XM4 though. Still rank these the third after Jabra and Bose. 4. The single use... I don't have a complain about the functions because all brands are the same. You'll lose half of the functions because you're only use one side of the earbuds. That's the users' choice, not the earbuds' fault. Another thing I've noticed, the ANC and transparency mode work fine when using only one earbud. 5. Transparency mode... took me a while to get used to those white noise. It doesn't bother me as much as when I first got it.
Dhrme great vid as usual!! I can add that case issue with earbuds charging or staying connected I had that happen just the other day went to charge em and switched to the active 75t took call from my dad it kept cutting out sure enough I was still connected to the 3 pro. That was kind of a what the hell moment lol but otherwise I've really enjoyed these. For me it always comes down to sound amd I feel these are second to none altho I haven't had the pos pi7 or the eq nor will I lol but otherwise I've had a ton. Lastly these I bet will be 149 again in coming weeks at first release they advertised the 149 as black friday pricing so I'd keep an eye out for that and will lastly add I'd live to see you guys revuew the new beats fit pro.. guessing anc transparency will he better than their similar studio buds cuz of the h1 chip but if they don't sound better I don't know why someone would grab em especially if they can get the beats studio thru Costco as they will be 99.99 on black friday... but would live for someone to compare them to eachother!!! You guys kickass and hope ya both have a great weekend!!!!!
I find the case too slippery for my hands. Dropped it many times trying to open the lid. I read the previous gen had a rubberized feel, like the Truengine 3 SE. That should have been retained. I actually like the XM3 case. Nice and chunky and I too have BIG pockets!
Simply the best sounding earbuds I've ever owned. My big complaint is the rubber ear wings don't stay in place. I ended up gluing the ear wing in place.
My favourite for music.i hear instruments I never noticed before. After update perfect for calls, the ambient mode much better too. Not perfect, but on a high level imperfect.
I don't even understand your review. You said the sound library pro is good or not very good. Also you said on your title from your review don't buy them. Because i am a little bit confused here. Please tell me are these library pro earbuds any or not.
It would be really nice if you could set the music to pause when switching to transparency mode. The only time I use it is when I want to talk to someone.
Back on Amazon for £109 .... I've been waiting for the price drop but I'm going to pass - it's not going to beat the BTR5 2021 and IEMs of your choice. I also believe they are not worth the price but it appears that the " true wireless " market is inflated by consumer demand
This set out of the box is awful sounding. I cannot understand how Soundcore let these go tuned so badly. The highs are ridiculously tizzy and thin as well as the Mids. The Mids were metallic with vocals. What I had to do was eq these to a crazy degree, burn them in for quite some time and change the horrible tips. After these things, they are fantastic
YES!!! I got liberty 3 pro Abiut a week ago, and after one hour I returned them the same day. The vocals felt hollow or metallic like you say, and the bass was overpowered but not the GOOD bass that you want to hear. Also the size were masive You really look goofy with these.
ok , so I'm serious I've been in the market and on the YT looking for a good pair of BT Earbuds, I'm all for the sound, and I was about to hit the trigger for the Sennheiser TW M2, but then I found these Liberty everywhere on the TY reviews, I think after what I just watch in your channel I can say that you are the real Honest people around , for you how you compare the sound and Liberty EQ , can it pair to the Sennheisers? I think that I rather sacrifice single Mode and multipoint for a GOOD sound, but I'm interested on your opinion
the way of puttin the earbuds in the case is difficult. When I receive a call, I have to manually press the earplug and I find difficult to press the button. I prefer physical buttons. and the last thing they don't have a vocal assistant for the different mode (connected, anc, transparency). I don't find the anc that great either. but the sound is awesome
Hey guys Could You compare the Liberty Air 2 Pro with OPPO Enco X. They are priced extremely similar here in India. Would Love to See a Comparison video!
Honestly, I've been burned multiple times by youtube reviews of soundcore buds, I've never liked them. It's probably a personal preference thing but I find their chosen sound signature terrible. I couldn't even sell the Liberty Air 2 Pro second hand in my country. I will say though, I do agree with you guys on the tips sizes provided, I've never seen a company provide that many in-the-box before. (I currently use the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, just as point of reference) I don't know what I'm missing here but i just don't find anything to appreciate about this brand, but to be clear this is my own opinion and I am not forcing it on anyone. I am just genuinely curious.
I think a lot of people love the fact that there are so many different customization options, especially at prices $170 or below. Personally, I love it, but I get where you’re coming from. Did you try all of the EQ options?
I also have been burnt by bs RU-vid reviews of Chinese tws (though my 1more stylish is an awesome backup set that's 2 yrs old). Bought and love my Bose QC earbuds. Bought 2 pairs lightly used. The list of issues with these will only keep growing with more testing. The Bose are built like tanks
My bose qc buds will be at my house today! I'm looking forward to the balanced sound profile and textural/tonal fidelity. Would you happen to notice any difference in how well musical instruments are portrayed on the Bose versus the L3P? I find most earbuds to be way too tailored towards hip-hop with all of the bass and underwhelming treble/mids. None of the buds I've tried thus far could reproduce an electric guitar or bass guitar, or any of those natural instruments the way I know they're meant to sound; more often than not the chorus portions of a majority of my songs are turned into this muddy clashing of elements while the boom of the bass and some high hats would be preserved. This makes finding a sweet spot EQ for the buds I've tested (the Liberty 2 pros and 3 pros included) impossible because nothing I do can breathe the right amount of life into jazz, rock, metal, blues, classical, synthwave, or 70s/80s music. I'll admit the L3P come fairly close in terms of richness and clarity (not to mention there isn't any terrible distortion or a lousy Soundstage like the Sony XM4s have) but still miss the mark because I know how the crunchy low riffs in "Bad Boys Running Wild" is supposed to sound or that the guitar tone in classic rock songs shouldn't be so mushy-sounding.
I think the Sennheiser CX Plus and Momentum 2 do very well with overdrive and distortion. I know what you mean about that crunchy electric guitar sound!
Well I just got some and I am very impressed good sound quality exellent bass and volume and don't distort even on highest volume which is loud, found the hearing test actually made them bad when done so reset them and all was OK again which was rather kind of strange, plus didn't really like the so called sound around mode but other than that I find them exellent so far in the high quality sound mode, so I'm happy with them and sure I could beat them at the price they are selling for now on Amazon.
THanks to be honest guys, like 2 years ago I got Skullcandy earbuds over RU-vid review but guess what I returned same-day man ! That thing on RU-vid review was king of earbud but in reality it was garbage , so what you guys do is great job
That's exactly how I feel about mine. I was considering trying out the new Beats Fit Pro thingy's but the sound quality on these is exaclty what I was looking for. ANC isn't the best and maybe even slightly worse than my Jabra 75t's. But sound quality on these is definitely better than those. I like the way these look overall but I really hate the case situation. It's always a chore putting them back in, whereas my old pixel buds and Jabra's were so easy to get right the first time.
I’m in a similar boat. For me, I can quite get them to fit well and they somehow always feel loose, and big in my ears. I don’t like that they stick out of the ear as much as they do. So when I tried the new Beats Fit Pro, I have to say they just fit and felt amazing in the ear(which is subjective, I know). I’m tempted to splash out on them. BUT, the sound on the Soundcores really is great. Amazing bass and I actually really rate the HearID EQ. The app is also great. My second pair of earbuds are Samsung Galaxy Buds + which are sooo much smaller and lighter, and fit really well, but don’t have ANC or as good a IPX rating.
I have them myself since two weeks now. A had to discover also that under some circumstances the buds did not flip into place. Reason was the silicon-wing, which did slide out of place when they were pulled out of the ears. Just put them back in place and they will slide into the case easyly.
@anthony adventures hello sir i want to ask are u having issues with your jabra 75t? I’m debating to get the jabra 75t or 7 pro and liberty 3 pro. I really like jabra but i heard there were some issues with white noise and left earbuds etc.
This gets a big dislike for the cons you've chosen. Honestly , who would expect to use anc or transparency with only 1 ear bud ? Maybe someone with only one ear maybe? C'mon lol
Transparency with 1 bud does make some sense, gives a more balanced experience, rather than the bud feeling like a plug. But it's such a minor point that I'd imagine not many people care about that. ANC with one bud would indeed be very silly, can't really think of any use case for it.
I mean they admit that they're kind of searching for cons here and that they think it's a great product. And they were airing the grievance of one of their commenters. I admit it's a niche feature but being endorsed the earbuds pretty wholeheartedly. Especially when they compare them to the Sony XM4.
I am glad to see somebody else sees their design flaw for putting them in the case and getting them out. You must flip them around in your fingers to turn them the proper direction to get them in the case. I do love the earbuds. I bought the purple ones. Their design is just not good.
I used to struggle with the case (L2) until I discovered the trick to get them in and out, now they are probably one of the quickest and easiest buds to use. You don't need to turn them around, just push down on the ear tip with your index finger and they will pop out and into the right position to put into your ear, return them in the opposite direction and they will slide right into place
@@marka6487 I don't struggle getting them in and out of the case. I think a better design would help. JBL' s race earbuds are similarly shaped and in a case alot easier to use. I have over 30 pair of earbuds.
@@jeffreyjones6237 I have about ten pairs. If you try my method, you will find that it is actually a good design and they are very easy to get in and out and place in ears, without needing to turn them around. They are actually easier than ones like the JBL where you have to pull them from the top.
I have had mine maybe 5 months. Use them a couple hours in the morning. The right one isnt charging. The first time, i thought it was me. So im very diligent to make sure they're in the case right. Well its not me! Any advise will be appreciated, PLEASE 😊
The sound ist compared to the Sonys wf 1000xm4 a joke.. yes the bass is slightly stronger but muddy .. the treble ist even unenjoyable at the lowest setting and the mids are pretty recessed .. they do not respond very well to the EQ.. ANC is solid for this price.. I had both and I’m owning beyerdynamics 1700pro so I’m pretty audiophile .. you can find better sound at this price point
Hello brothers. First of all hats off to your unique way of presenting such tech reviews. You have earned a genuine subscriber. I have a query with respect sony noise cancellation. I am student and was planning to get sony mx4/mx3 soley for the purpose of studying. Since i need almost pin drop silence for studying i thought the noise cancelling feature would help a lot in putting down the noise level around me. I have also heard that using noise cancellation for longer period of time causes headaches. My study duration is almost 12 hours a day due to coming examination. Can you guide me whether i should go for it. ?
Well the good thing about SoundCore is you can EQ the f*** out of it. I'm not sure if that's the case with Sennheiser. Sennheiser certainly has a better reputation among audiophiles. But I haven't tried their true wireless
They sound very different but each very good. Its like a Ferrarri and lambo. The Soundcore however has a better low end. If I could afford them id pick the Sennheiser mtw2 over the Soundcore. That sennheiser sound imaging is very unique and breathtaking
Soundcore obliterate MTW2 in quality/quantity of bass and microphone quality for calls. Mids, tonality of voices, treble and overall sound quality is much better on MTW2. Soundstate is almost equal.
Just received these buds. They sound really good. I don’t like how I have to connect the earbuds to the app. Even when I’m already Bluetooth connected & listening to music. It should Auto connect. I hate the case. It’s slippery & the slider feels cheap to me. Other than that, I think these buds are really good. Especially for the price. Thanks for the video!
Thank you, I've been looking and searching for some good Earbuds and the most important thing to me is the sound and I was ready to get the Sennheiser CX plus because after I did my research the sound on them seems to be the best but also there is no wireless charging so now im thinking about getting these because they seems to have more features but my Question is what u guys think got the better sound Quality the CX plus or the Liberty 3 pro ?
Hey DHRME, can u please advice, if they are good choice for a GYM ? If they will fit proper, and dont get broke because of sweating (water) ? Thanks for advice.
They're pretty decent. Not the most waterproof out there and we never got a good fit, but everyone's ears are different, so what works for us, may not work for you...
