The Nintendo GameCube is my all-time favorite console. If you've never played one or maybe got rid of yours a few years ago, here's why you should pick one up this year!
I've had a GameCube since 2001 (the year of the launch) and it's still my favorite gaming system of all time because it's a nice little colorful device with an amazing library of games.
I have a Spice Orange GameCube that's modified to be region free. Absolutely love it! By far my most favorite console from Nintendo. Lots of fun memories with it as a kid.
Great video. My first console that I bought with my own $ was Nintendo GameCube Platinum Edition bundle with Super Smash Bros Melee in 2005 and I still have it. The Nintendo 64 and the GameCube are my favorite consoles. I have great fond memories with this console. I also have the jet black GameCube. Here's my collection that I enjoy: 1.) Super Smash Bros. Melee 2.) WWF WrestleMania X8 3.) WWE WrestleMania XIX 4.) WWE Day of Reckoning 5.) Def Jam: Fight for New York 6.) WWE Day of Reckoning II 7.) Midway Arcade Treasure II 8.) Need For Speed: Underground II 9.) Need For Speed: Underground 10.) Need For Speed: Carbon 11.) Need For Speed: Most Wanted 12.) Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit II 13.) Mario Kart Double Dash!!! 14.) NFL Streets II 15.) X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse 16.) Burnout 17.) Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects 18.) Army Men: Sarge's War
I absolutely love the gamecube to the point that i currently own 2 and am getting into the custom gamecube modding world. The game titles on this console are just on another level.
I just got my first GameCube and I already love how it looks. No reason whatsoever to get it since I own a backward compatible wii but I absolutely wanted to get one just for nostalgia reasons
Never had one as a kid. Just picked one up along with a Retro Prism Component cable set. Excited to explore a new library of games I've never played before. I'll be picking up a gameboy player eventually.
GameCube has excellent graphics and a really good hardware (much better than the disc read error prone PS2). I've had mine since 2001 and it's still my favorite system ever.
I still have my Black GameCube from when I was little my first ever game I played was Mario Party 5 I still play Mario Party 5 daily on the exact same GameCube and it still works and runs like a charm I just love Mario Party 5 cause it got me into gaming as a whole
GameCube is criminally underrated. It has too many amazing classics I still enjoy on it (Legend of Zelda Wind Waker, Tales of Symphonia, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros: Melee, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, and Starfox Adventures).
Doing God’s work Franco🙏🏼 the gamecube is probably the console i had the best memories with, hope people today can appreciate what the gamecube was in terms of its library of games.
I also have a silver one lol some of my favorites being: metal gear solid the twin snakes, star fox assault, all 3 prince of persia games, star fox adventures, twilight princess, sonic adventure 2 battle…..just to name a few
The Game Cube is still a great console, in my case I kept my (mini DVD drive dead) original GCN and had to put a GC Loader to revive it, not to mention that I got the GB Player (my console is the purple or whatever name the color is but the GB Player I only found it black colored, but I don't care about the color department) and I enjoy the console a lot.
I'm selling my Wii for the gamecube today, I play mostly GameCube games on the Wii. The problem is I have to have a charged Wii controller everytime I want to play a GameCube game, the amount of cables a Wii also has turns me off, the wire for the sensor is huuuuge. GameCubes have always retained their value too and will probably continue to rise through time.
@@gimmixxx8767 I had a controller, you need to power on a Wii controller to select the GameCube game. Plus the fact that the batteries in my Wii controllers kept dying even when switched off. Happy with the purchase I made.
Friend had one back in the day but never had one myself. I got one about a month ago for $79 at a local store and did some research and it has the addition video digital output. Bought the GCHD Mk II. Now just got to watch some videos on which games to get.
I truely recommend paper mario a thousand year door, i've played most of the paper mario games and this one is the most fun it has great characters a fun story and the scripts can make you laugh from time to time. Ofcourse windwaker sunshine and double dash are amazing aswell, i personally don't really like the kirby or donkey kong game on this console, they are quite different from their line.
Okay let's just be real when the Nintendo GameCube first came out back in 2001 it had a better launch titles of games in the PS2 and if you have friends in the family you won't regret buying one best multiplayer library ever in history even to this day
Ok so im hearing you but a gc compatible wii is half the price and size for 2xs the machine and access to a plethora of emus so my point is you should buy a wii in 2022 get a decent usb stick and a sd card and figure out what homebrew is
Absolutely fair enough. I just don’t support homebrew/piracy. BUT, if that’s your thing 100% go for it. You can find a GC Wii for about $50 online and it’ll even read some damaged discs that a GameCube can’t. Thanks for watching!
@Franco Scarcello ill watch more of your videos just because you sir are a gentlemen..... yeah sometimes buying an 80$ mario party can be damn near impossible to afford but my 2 oldest sons love playing with me and the misses so the few madio partys i dont own i did go emu.
Honestly I bought a Wii to play GameCube and Wii games BUT I just bought a spice orange Japan only GameCube and Game Boy player (with disc) from Japan.
I’ve been looking to get a GameCube recently. I have a Wii but ever since I got a Wii U I kinda don’t need it anymore. And with a GC I’d be able to play GBA games on it. I’m probably gonna get the jet black version
I have no need for the GameCube anymore ever since the analogue pocket came out that allows you to play Gameboy /Gameboy advance games. because the Wii allows you to play both Wii and GameCube games even with the GameCube controller. plus, GameCube games are way too expensive now.
I have a silver GameCube I have all Metroid’s and Luigi’s mansion and Mario sunshine and I love it plus the gameboy add on which I have all the Zelda games. And the two Metroid fusion and mission
Dude kid you not I had been eyeing them for some time as I'm a collector also and had this as a kid myself and today got on offer up saw an Indigo with all cords original box two memory cards smash bros complete resident evil 4 and Dr muto and Mario Cart double dash for 45 bucks I went and got it with in ten min older lady cleaning out storage thing works great box is good shape no scratches on the system nothing so glad I got one the library is immense
Spice orange gamecube with matching gameboy player xeno mod chip and bios changed from Japan to American and it plays any region picked it up on eBay for 209 from Sawa also not mention I have the boot dial for the gameboy player
I picked up the game the day it came out. I'm honestly really surprised at the direction the selling price has gone. Considering that it made zero splash when it came out and no one knew or cared about it, I would expect it to sell for like 13 cents, not a rent payment.
I've got a GameCube that was gifted to me actually way after it's prime and I got a lot of pretty cool games for it nothing major like Mario games but slowly chipping in to get what I need for it I've got a black one with a matching black Game Boy player and I've got the disc hoping to also get a black GameCube screen so I can play on the go
I bought a black GameCube recently, but on startup it keeps asking me too choose the language and also the date. I'm hoping its just the battery not something else because I also have a platinum GameCube I bought in 2005, and on this, only the date is wrong.
I got a GameCube yesterday for $80 in black with a memory card and Medal of Honor European assault to be honest I’m surprised at how good the graphics are for a console so old. Also how do you play the gameboy advance games on it? That’s something I want to do but don’t know how
Indigo with black Gameboy player with GameCube style memory card with both Pokémon coliseum and XD gale of darkness and Starfox and Godzilla with zoocube GBA adventure Island and real Pokémon crystal soon
2022- alright let try that paper Mario game never played that… $130 ok maybe smash bros $70. Alright how about double dash they made a lot of copies $80. GameCube is crazy expensive you’re going need deep pockets to collect for this console in 2022.
@@franco_scarcello Really patient though. I’m on Mercari. The Japanese versions are cheaper (for now). It depends on what you want. I got a Wii U before deciding to plunge into Japanese games on the Cube. I already had a GameCube my brothers friend (I suppose) gave to us and by the time I got nostalgic, BOOM! It wasn’t worth feeding those memories. It wasn’t until recently that I felt comfy with getting any particular titles that I wanted and in good shape at a decent price. I lost my original GC in a house fire and was too college focused to collect in 2011. To get a GOOD picture for the GBP. You need outside software. I’d rather get a GBA consoler at that point.
@@franco_scarcello The original software for the GameCube is a stupid 60 bucks no matter where I go and the 3rd party Swiss disc is about 30 dollars more add 90 to 45 your paying 135 for that anyway. I just don’t have enough GBA games to even make that plunge and I want a Super Nintendo style controller to make them playable. Add that into the mix... no thanks.
I do will need a dongle for the adapter. It’s just too complicated. Too many pieces. I already have an adapter dongle and a 2 way portable G Bros adapter from 8 bitdo for dongles the Switch and PC. If I find a huge lot of GB GBC and GBA games then I’ll consider 1 of these options.
I went to this retro game store one time and I had like $100 from my birthday I was planning onto getting a Nintendo game cube but when I saw the price it was $100 I couldn’t get it so I went to buy a knock off super Nintendo they can play two types of games super Nintendo and Nintendo entertainment system and I had $16 left and bought Carl’s junior And that’s it
Pokémon colosseum, box, gale of darkness and channel. spyro enter the dragon and a hero's tail super mario sunshine coming tomorrow freedom fighter castween need for speed most wanted Starfox adventure Godzilla destroy all monsters melee the Sims 2 and robots with Gameboy player disc and am adding a cartridge with at least 5 GBA game on it with GBA Pokémon games to play on it 😂
@@franco_scarcello It's this thing called Xbox Dev mode which is essentially a sandbox where you can run UWP apps and so libretro made a UWP version of RetroArch and it's great, it plays Wii, PS1/PS2, GameCube, Dreamcast and many other consoles full speed. Definetly check it out, Dev mode costs just $20.
Why spend money on a gamecube plus having to spend money on the games when you can get a Gamecube emulator (Dolphin) and it's games all for free? And if you have a high end Tablet/smartphone, it's runs perfectly 🤔
@@Danielwastakenn disgusting for using emulators? So nintnedo can charge $20.00 for there online subscription to get to play there NES and SNES games plus another $49.99 subscription to play there N64 games and its not even there full library of games... now that's disgusting
