I own the Pro Max and love this little flying camera! I've been told from their support that they will be adding a vertical shooting mode to "manual" in a future firmware update, which I cannot wait for. I've got the beacon/joysticks on order as I need more finite control than what the virtual joysticks offer for how I use this little guy (commercial product shoots in a tight photo bay). And coming from a guy who is a lifelong DJI user I'm happy to add this camera to my arsenal to shoot with.
I think it’s great - it definitely needs some firmware tweaks but once it’s settled, it’ll feel really refined. Glad you’re enjoying yours! What are you using it for?
@cailife I take videos for a local car dealership that they use for IG Reels...so I use my Pocket 3 and shoot vertically. I was using my DJI Air2 but it's kinda big to shoot in small spaces. So this lil guy works great for orbits, birds eye, etc. Once I have the joysticks I can have greater control to fly down through an open sunroof for some cool interior reveal shots. It'll come with us on family trips on the future as well
This is a GREAT question, and the answer is no - I tested this when I realised in my orbit was a bush, and so I moved after I’d set it off, and it continued on its original course and nestled itself in said bush.
The mini 4 pro is a GREAT drone, and has some huge advantages. I think there’s a lot to be said for the user simplicity of the X1 range, but as there always is, there are pros and cons to each product.
