@@ktomorful Here in the UK Honor Magic5 Pro 12GB RAM 512GB Storage version just been reduced to only £799 on Amazon UK. Very good price compared to a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512GB Storage variant. Honor Magic5 Pro better battery life, overall better camera performance in term of image accuracy ie more natural colours, no oversharpening etc.

I can get the Honor Magic 5 Pro for around 850 euro if I extend my subscription for 2 years paying around 25 euro per month. That's a huge discount knowing the phone's listing price is at 1199. To put it in context S23 Ultra 256GB is around 1150 but with a subscription you get only 100 euro discount.

From Germany here: Unfortunately, we barely hear of Honor over here, and only got the 5pro (no regular 5 or ultimate). It started nearly as expensive as S23plus here which is massively hyped, but by now, while S23ultra 12+512GB is still at least 1150 Euros, the Magic 5pro was sold for 760 Euros now during Black Friday weeks. Thats just insane.

I am using hm4pro.. there is really rarely got update (not even on android 13 yet) Certain apps cannot open, need to uninstall and install again many times. The curve is really bad, too curvy. Camera quality actually really like potato, bad quality. Hard to find casing, need buy direct from china.

The only reason why I will choose Honor is because of their price for 12gb + 512gb are pretty damn good and also for camera hardware, otherwise I still prefer Samsung for their One UI, design, camera features, SamsungDex, fast update etc

From the looks of it Honor Malaysia did well by pricing the Magic 5 Pro at a good price and including 512gb in the mix. From what I know yes, software update is better on Samsung but these days people change their phones every 2-3 years. I rarely have anyone in my circle who's using a 5 year old phone as their main device.

Ive always had Huawei, but my p30 pro is on its way out, no Google assistant and fingerprint sensor not working, so I've but the bullet today and ordered the honor, after hours of videos and reviews, I think I've made the right choice, plus I'm fed up off Samsung, Google and Apple taking the main market. I've got a great deal on the phone with id mobile, £38 pm for unlimited everything for 2 years

Everything that you said is true about the camera and performance. I got Magic5 Pro and it is really great device, also cheaper than S23 Ultra and have fast charger and some basic silicon casing and screen protection. Only feature that S23 Ultra has is the S-pen, but I don't need this.

I got the honor 5pro, glitchy at best using gestures for navigation. Had to swipe up 3 times to get recent apps using nova launcher. Sent it back and stuck with s23u. After probably 250 comparison shots it took the better photo, especially zoom and low light.

Honor has a great desktop mode and the pill shaped cutout is way smaller than the iphone's. True, it's bigger than samsung's punch hole, but comes with 3d facial unlock that works beautiful and it's placed on the side which is better when watching vids for example. So although it's bigger, it is not placed on the horizon line (to put it like that) and that's usually where the action is. I have the Magic 4 pro and it doesn't bother me at all. The samsung is a great phone anyway, so in the end it comes to your preference.

It’s what pushed me to buy it instead of the normal 5 versions, although I do like the lighter and thinner hand feel of the 5, I just cannot oversee the difference in other specs, such as camera and battery.
