It's good to hear people have the same attitude towards these bikes over the pond. The lack of noise is really huge as almost no one cares lol. I'm just over 1500 miles on my Sur Ron and I love it! I ride with full regen on. It helps me a ton in technical single trails out here in Southern California. I think once my skill level increases in the hills, I'll lower or turn off regen.
Yeah for sure man, huge scene for them here in the UK just a different vibe though. The surron really has been a game changer for the bike scene!! Regen is definitely useful on the trails and saves the brake pads too. I’m still stuck between having it on or off, wheelies are a lot more fun without it aha. It’s worth a try turning it off and seeing how it feels but I definitely agree it’s a useful feature for certain styles of riding. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 💯🔋⚡️
Matt I have developed a new 72V 50Ah battery if you want to double your range and power, I have 3 and you can have one for £1300. I will also be able to supply you with a controller kit for £350 if needed. Don't waste your money on the anodised trinkets, sell your old battery and controller for £400 and upgrade to 72V as it will provide so much more fun whilst also making exciting content. I have a 72V 32Ah for £950 if you don't have the budget for 50Ah.
Because this model of e bike has such a dirt bike look about them. People tend to overreact when they see you on the bike trails. especially, if you come across one of those people who loves to get upset about things.
I’ve never cut the wire, i dont even think my bike was ever restricted. Have been able to hit top speed in sport mode since day 1 of owning it with out cutting any wires. Does doing said sequence turn off the speed restriction for you? Or just do regen?
@@mattfrancisofficial I’ve only ever tried those sequences in your video with the little extra wire that lights up and comes with the bike when you buy it. That only changed my regen, didn’t unlock it. I’ll try without it and let ya know. However the sequence on my channel will unlock the bike… 🤷🏻♂️
Update: yep the sequence on my channel will unlock the bike. The sequence you showed in this video is strictly regen. You can unlock it tho after setting your preferred regen level, which is nice:) 🤙🏻⚡️
To my knowledge no there’s no website but i bet there’s an app/website available to use to find out. There are apps for locating footpaths so i guess you could use that as a guide🔋⚡️
If you opt for the road legal surron they can be insured, MOT’d and taxed for road use. The light bee x is the off road version and not for use on public roads unless made road worthy and registered! 🔋⚡️
The L1E is the road legal version. Depends where you live to determine which you should buy. If you have plenty of private land available to use then LBX, if you’ll have to ride on the road at all then L1E for sure!🔋⚡️
These are standard rims that come on the surron but i changed the tyres. Ones in this video are Kenda k270. There are plenty of after market options for smaller wheels though!
