Good vid Paul I definitely like the point about size to many jag/ dovii / umbee floating about in 5/6 foot tanks simply not big enough , I love the Lyonsi as it tops out at 12 ish perfect for a 500/ 600 litre tank
Red devils are my favorite fish I wish the barred red devil I had was half as docile as this one I couldn't keep anything in the tank but gravel which he pile up on the sides and a very sturdy heater .even considered putting cardboard on the front of the tank cause he would freak out if you got near the tank
There could be a sixth reason: hardiness - these guys can survive and thrive in a wide range of waters. I can't go without one do just purchased one locally. Crossing my fingers he'll be okay the the community for a while.
@@bigfishlad4847 bro absolutely I have fish that I can pet and push around of course in a sense they’re just attacking my hand but still awesome interactions. I love the white in yours sadly I never could select from any that had white they were ALL solid orange. But still good colors. Still love that white tho.
Beautiful fins on that fish dude! That is how I keep mine too. My pleco is ripped on its fins tho big aggression level even more than that shown in your vid. Still impressive species and beautiful coloration.
There's so many of me mates who say flowerhorn or oscar make the best wet pet or full of personality, but honestly red devils aren't that far behind they are a close third separated only by preference, hell I rank a red devil having personality as much as a flowerhorn, oscars are fine.... the only problem i have with oscars is that they sulk...... Personally red devil is my number 1, the reason flowerhorns aren't my number 1 is because it's man-made/hybridized
