@@bargain.hunting.blonde I use Saphir leather polish on my black Chanel lambskin too and it works like a charm! Just a thorough buff afterward with a microfiber cloth, a little dermo protect, and the bag really shines. I've also given my vintage Chanel lambskin classic flap 3 series a light steam in a few places (inside lip and alongside the back bottom edge), and the creases definitely seemed less pronounced. The bag was protected and stuffed with a few soft hand towels and then left to dry for most the day. I was a little hesitant during the first go-around so I may give it another light pass. Yes lambskin ages very well. One of my Instagram followers made a great point- a vintage slightly beat up lambskin bag looks indefinitely better than a vintage slightly beat up caviar bag and I am sure it’s something to do with the age of the bag and how the leather wears! Thank you for watching 😊

Hi! I can but honestly if a lambskin bag is in need of some real TLC (not just some basic conditioning) I send it off to leather surgeons for a spa treatment.

It’s just so much more luxurious

Was it newer lambskin? I have heard some of the lambskin from newer seasons is not as durable as the vintage lamb.

The vintage lambskin is really amazing!!!

So in general I use Cadillac leather conditioner and cleaner. For my lambskin Chanel I did buy the cleaning kit from loving my bags that is just for lambskin.

So I somehow don’t have any Chanel SLGs (I have bought them for others but never myself 🙈). When I have bought for others I buy caviar just because of the wear a piece gets jostle in a bag wot other items. If you are really good with an organizer I bet lambskin would be fine ! I just tend to throw everything into a bag 😊

I haven’t bought a new lamb classic flap in a long time! So I am not sure 🤔 but in general classic flaps are stiffer bags

Chanel quality in general has gone down but I find that it has impacted both type of leather equally. I still prefer lambskin but that’s because I prefer the luxurious feel of it. And caviar can be very plasticy to me. Thank you for watching 😊

@@bargain.hunting.blonde thats true... idk i think for me yes the lamb feels good but at the same time these bags are almost 10k they shouldn't be scratching easily. I bought the classic flap in black caviar and i saw a few in lamb and they were all scratched it was annoying because none of those bags left the store lol

I would make sure to immediately dry it off by dabbing at it with a white cloth. But other than that there is not much you can do. I preemptively spray all my bags with apple gard which really helps if they accidentally encounter some rain

I do two things! 1- spray the bag with a protection spray like applegard or colonil spray. 2- I spray dark colored clothing with a scotchgard color lock spray. I hope that helps 😊

Yeah.. i have caviar i prefer caviar because i don't want to worry about my bag rubbing against something and getting stained

It is beautiful! Getting any bag wet isn’t a good idea. I have even seen LV damier ebene bags with the treated leather have puckering and marks for water. And I do rotate my bags so I don’t have corner wear issues but also I do expect corner wear in bags I wear a lot regardless of material! Thanks for watching 😊
