Yeah, Filipinos used to help koreans and japan was being cruel to filipinos but everything changed now japanese is being nice to philipines and koreans are being so mean to filipinos.

I have a Japanese friend here in Cebu and he's so friendly and fun to hangout especially when we go to disco together to find some cute girls. 😂 when I ask about what he likes here in PH (Cebu) is that the girls here are cute and all the people he meets here in Cebu are fun to hangout and there's no problem with the language barrier since we respect each other's bad grammar and we don't mind that as long as we understand. And the only thing he misses about Japan is the food.

My take as a Filipina who dated lots of Japanese guys and even married one: 1. Tbh, being an introvert makes dating an "average" Japanese man way easier because of their default introversion brought by their culture. As an introverted Filipina, naturally they are my most comfortable kind of people to be with as they don't smother me. 2. I might say I'm not too sweet or emotional like the "average Filipina" but it prepped me with the varying emotional distance the Japanese men have shown towards me. They are not the kind of lovers who will bombard you with overt expressions of love. To them, the little things matter but really subtle. Again, with my personality, that seems compatible with me. 3. The looks thing is so true. Idk if I'm average here or something but the Japanese guys I've dated and even my husband went gaga with my looks, especially my eyes and my yaeba (some canine teeth showing). Another thing they told me is that I kinda look like a Japanese woman but with fluent English skills and that's cute to them. Lmao. Such a weird compliment but okay. 4. If you are a busy person and who loves periods of independence to do your own thing, a Japanese guy is perfect as they tend to understand my schedule and my work (I'm an engineer). They don't chat or call too much but when we go to dates or have an occasional long call, conversations are meaningful. Tall about quality over quantity. 5. They express their love in the most unexpected and unique way. They make the best lovers too. But this is just from my experiences though.
Wow I wish we could adopt those qualities from them without changing our good qualities. I think some people are being too much clingy is because they're too afraid they might lost their partner since most of the shows here in PH is about adultery and it affects the mindset of most people towards securing and having healthy relationship. I find that very toxic and unhealthy not just for relationship but as being. I hope that Pinoys/Pinays will be more open minded and think for their partners welfare also when in a relationship. PS. Sorry for my bad english. 😂

However, most of my Filipino friends in Osaka have either “cold” married life or failed marriage. I guess it’s just initial attraction but it’s not enough to last. You’d be lucky to have marriage that works out despite huge cultural differences.

Family members would often say that if you don't succeed in life, just marry a rich person or a foreigner. It's pretty much the American equivalent of 'if you want to get rich just marry a doctor or an engineer', which is also smth common here in the Philippines especially coming from the older generations smh
i am an english teacher and had experienced to teach a lot of Japanese students here in the Philippines for an english summer camp and I can never ever forget all of my Japanese students for being good and polite

I really really understand what you are saying. I often talk to Filipinos recently and I found they are so friendly and openminded. I'm not saying Japanese are not friendly but they have something we Japanese has to learn. Like appreciating for small stuff. You know people here tend to make things so hard on ourselves because we are perfectionist. ( in general I mean)
It's just a perk we had for being a country prone to colonialism and stuff. We usually don't even care now though unlike other neighboring Asian countries where they still can't move on from WW2 Imperial Japan. The bad thing to it is we're too much mixed , a lot of us had blood and names originating from all the countries who came here. My name alone can confuse foreigners. I'm 100 percent Filipino, at least as I thought I am although I'm interested looking past my ancestors. I'm also interested in learning Japanese language.

I don't want to argue, but if its your great great grandparents is Pilipino and Haponesa then the only half pilipino half hapon is their offspring which is one of your parents. then if this half going to marry a pinoy or hapon then there might be a slightest chance to get that hapon and pilipino blood that might mixed again its like 1 out 5. if the genes of one of the blood is strong then chances of getting that blood again is nearly 0% if the family grows big... This is like selective breeding its like if one of the offspring gives characteristics of the parents shall be takin and breed it to the other offspring that has similar characteristics, selective breeding method is to maintain that bloodline more like "select, reject and maintain"... I just want to share what I learn pls. forgive me if you're angry...
i had a Japanese collegue in Micronisia and he is strict when it comes to student discpline but he is a nice and kind person. I have four aunts (2nd cousines of my mom) married to Japanese, they are now in their late 50's and still happily married.
Fun fact: if different foreign people mix together, their sons or daughter are pretty good out come, it is because of good to mix with different genres.

we Filipino people study different cultures and traditions from different countries, including japan of course we enjoy and respect it at the same time. funfact: Filipino people likes to sing and dance, even though some of us didn't born with a 'talent' , we worked hard to gain it, and another thing about us Filipinos, we don't like quiet places it creeps us out, so we would sing in the bathroom where you're alone during your bath.
Yeah, i really like japan also. And their anime makes me feel refresh, sometimes i Cried, sometimes i laugh and being excited. Because the anime in japan was so great and awesome to me. I spent my whole day watching anime. ❤️❤️❤️
